Just had my first experience with Castaic Nails and it will definitely not be my last! Michael and his wife were so friendly and inviting! The salon is attractive, clean and comfortable and they gave me an excellent mani pedi at a very affordable price! Can’t wait to go back!

I often pass by this place and have noticed it consistently appears empty and somewhat uninviting. Today, I decided to stop in, as their door displays a 'Walk-Ins Welcome' sign. Upon entering, I observed two people attending to a customer. One of them informed me that they operate by appointment only, though they did not offer any information regarding their next available slot. I found this lack of clarity surprising, and it might be beneficial for them to update their signage accordingly. Given this experience, I am not inclined to pursue scheduling an appointment in the future. Honestly they don’t even give a positive vibe.

When I arrived , the staff was taking lunch in back room , came out 10 minutes later asked if I had appointment, no one was even in the shop , 8 empty chairs , the rude man said it is by appointment only . So I left , the front door had hours listed said nothing about appointment only , waste of time

Came in for the first time today with my daughter for 2 spa pedicures. The salon is cute and appears clean. It was fairly quiet inside, one other client besides us. Both our pedicures were quick and of good quality. I'm not someone who needs to chat it up with my nail tech, so I don't mind a fairly silent pedicure. The employees were polite and efficient, and we enjoyed our service. We will definitely be back.

Micheal and Quinn are great people! Had a lovely experience with my daughter and myself. They happily gave a mani/pedi to a wiggly 2 year old.

Family owned business... Michael and his wife do a great job. I had to go to another local nail shop because I couldn't get an appointment with Michael. It was not the same quality of work nor attention to details. My husband loves Castaic Nails' pedicures too!

Had a fantastic experience here. Not only was Michael very personable and friendly, he managed to fix a crooked acrylic nail another nearby nail salon had let me walk out the door with. As someone who's anxious and has a hard time speaking up, he was very good at making me feel comfortable. He was also very professional when he had to take calls to schedule appointments for other guests since there is no front desk person.

Im still in search of a decently priced nail shop in the Castaic area. It has to be clean, must have excellent customer/client services, nail techs should be able to do all the hip/trendy nail techniques, no overbooking and no rush jobs. Unfortunately this is the 2nd nail shop in the area thats no bueno. The first time I went, they were booked. So I figured the place was popular and must be good. Was able to get an appointment for the next day for (2) people. Man's mani/pedi and my pedi. The service although cheap, lacked what a nail salons service should be. Soothing, relaxing. Felt like as soon as we sat in the chair, we were out of them. That's how fast our services were. My hubs had a mani/pedi while I a pedi. He was done before me. There isnt a list of services where you can select a nice sugar scrub or extra 10 min massage. Matter fact, there's no massage at all. My toes were soaked in relatively cool water (opposed to hot), clipped, filed, I got an attitude when I asked the lady to drill down my raised pinkie toe (i had to ask more than once and the 2nd time she gave me the "Yea Yea , I know" but still didnt do it right), a light buff and very soft foot scrub (for about a min on each foot instead of putting some elbow grease in these dogs) some lotion rubbed into my feet and a half ass paint job (where the polish is all off the nail and on the skin). Was hilarious. But cheap. My second time (I have to cut to this bc it's important for my trendy girls) , I went because I was in desperate need and hoped Id get someone else. I did. Husband and wife were working together and upon arrival I had to make an appointment. I did. And left. But was called back shortly thereafter because of cancellation. The wife wasnt friendly at first. It was very much so , pick a color and sit down. The basin for my feet was already filled and the water was 100% cold. I put my feet in for the woman to drain it a bit and add hot water. Wasnt pleasant or relaxing. Then I asked about a specific design I wanted. Just a line of diamonds/stones across my big toe (like a french mani line) . The lady clearly didnt want to do it, even said if she has time. As if I didnt have an appointment! Mind you.. This is my birthday pedicure.. So I be doggon I sit in a chair and not get something so basic! After a while she lightened up and remembered me and my hubs and chatted and smiled. Could have been because I opened YELP infront of her. Who knows, but Im glad she changed her mood. Then her husband came over and did the stones on my toes. He was really nice (not that she wasnt, she just wasnt vested in relationship building/customer service). If you just want your toes soaked and painted for the low. This is your spot. But if you want options (sugar scrubs, parafin waxes, etc.) and a relaxing experience where you know whatever designs, styles, etc. you ask for can/will be done I'd not recommend this shop.

I have been coming to Castaic Nails over the last 20 Years and I swear it just gets better!! Michael and his wife are so sweet and I am always so relaxed while getting my nails done! I am rough on my nails and I will go a month between fills, never break or crack and never lift!! I'll never go anywhere else!! Latest pic for Michaels fantastic work!
