Castro Valley Cyclery is a great local bike shop. The owner and mechanics are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly, providing deeply human and professional service. They offer very competent and fast repairs, with work often completed within a couple of hours or days. The shop provides excellent advice and talks shop to help customers understand their bikes better. They have good and very reasonable pricing. Customers highlight the personal service and competency as incomparable to online shopping, making it the only shop they use. The business is highly recommended for purchases, repairs, and simple items like tubes and tires.
John and his crew are awesome! His is the ONLY bike shop I allow to touch my bike. I’ve been bringing my bikes here since 2013 and the service is always excellent. John is a pro: skilled, knowledgeable, resourceful, and has great stories!
