Terrible!!! I’m being screened for cancer every four months and twice they have screwed up my blood work. They didn’t even do the bloodwork that was ordered, but I was charged for it twice.

Vanessa and Maricella demonstrate excellence as phlebotomists at this facility, offering kind and efficient check-in services and blood and urine and other sample collections for medical testing, consistently making it a smooth experience. I highly recommend this location. Thank you, Ladies!

The lady at the front dash named Marisela was so rude towards me. I made an appointment and somehow it wasn’t showing this also happened to my wife at this location about a couple weeks before. Without looking up and talking to me she told me to sign in and I had to wait since was a walk on and didn’t tell me how long I had to wait.Instead of Marisela listening to me she talked over me. Marisela was a very rude person and not a good representative of Labcorp

No Walk-Ins!
Do not come here without an appointment.
Even thought there are no patients in the waiting hall, it’s empty and they have 30 minutes until lunchtime, they turned me away :(
The website says ‘appointment preferred’ but the staff here say ‘appointment mandatory’.

Very unhappy with my visit to this LabCorp location (19942 Lake Chabot Rd, Castro Valley, CA 94546).
I walked in at about 3:15 pm on 3/24/2025, there were no patients in the waiting area, I asked the receptionist Marisela if I can be served without appointment, and she refused the services to me saying that walk-ins are not allowed at this location, despite their website claiming they do accept walk-ins. This experience makes me assume that LabCorp is not interested in me as their customer. Next time, when my doctor ask me which lab I prefer for my tests, I'll choose Quest.
P.S. Omg, just noticed (from other reviews) that I’m not the only one who has decided to switch to another lab service because of the awful customer service at this location. Apparently, Marisela is getting payed form LabCorp to drive their clients away, this is hilarious.

I made an appointment for a fasting blood test and when Ibget there they're closed. What sucked the most is the appointment was for 2pm and was starving. I don't knkw why you would set an appointment and be closed.

I had lab work done today at Labcorp in Castro Valley. I made an appointment online and was having my blood drawn within 15 minutes of my appointment time. Labcorp's computer check-in, my first time using it, was flawless, and my physician's order was in their system. The staff was fantastic!!

We arrived more or less on time and they got to us in a speedy manner and found our doctor's orders right away. Drawing blood was as painless as I have ever experienced (many times) and quick. The whole thing was relatively inexpensive (though more than it was a few years ago, greedflation strikes everywhere) but much, much cheaper than any doctor's visit.

It was time for my annual checkup which begins with a routine blood pull for a bunch of tests and I chose this location due to proximity. The building could use a little work on the outside, while it's fine on the inside. Handy to have parking in the back. I was quickly moved in to get the draw, and they were apologizing for the 5-minute wait. The phlebotomist was top-shelf--I literally didn't feel a thing and she nailed the vein right off. I've had well over 3,000 needles in me over a lifetime so I've seen the good, the bad and the ugly. This ranks fantastic, so I'll be back the next time.

I first went to this branch in February and the person at the desk just had no customer service. It was like, I inconvenienced her for going to my bloods. I also wasn’t sure of procedure as it was the first time I went there but the response and support is so mono-tone that I don’t understand someone can work in such a sensitive space. People get their labs for their health and can be very daunting but the person you’re supposed to seek help from acts like they don’t care and doesn’t want to explain how to help.
The second time I came in, I checked in as a walk in patient.
I was sitting there for 15-20 minutes before being told ‘we don’t do walk ins here, you need to make an appointment’.
First of all, I was sat right in front of the desk that I was seen by the two staff.
Second, there were 2-4 people already waiting/arrived. They seemed like regular enough patients as they seem to have conversations as if the patient and staff were familiar with each other.
I was the only one on the board as ‘walk-in’ patient. I don’t understand why they let me sit there for 15-20 minutes(clearly seeing me from the moment I walked in) before telling me I couldn’t be seen!
I even asked (after being told appointments only) what if I waited in case someone cancelled?
Answer: there’s no cancellations here
I literally felt like a total inconvenience instead after coming straight from the drs after a not so positive visit.
It’s a cold space to come into instead of a welcoming one.
Will rather travel further than to go back to lake Chabot branch!
