This place is great, don’t listen to the last review of waiting room with covid scare. The waiting area is pretty big.Anyhow yeah it can get busy but it’s typical for any business during any rush hour. Come early and you’ll be fine.Friendly staff btw.

I wish I could give ZERO stars. This place is horrible especially the emergency department. Absolutely disgusting service. Nurse receptionist is the absolute worst person ever! She has the worst attitude. No sympathy for the sick. Just absolutely disappointing to be treated like trash when your vulnerable and sick. She really should be fired! Sutter Health needs to screen their staff throughly before hiring them.

This used to be the best lab in the East Bay but now it’s pretty awful because of the wait times. Twice in the last month I’ve come for blood work and have waited 30-45 minutes to have blood drawn and there’s a waiting room full of people so not very Covid safe. I don’t know what happened. It what a shame. Plan to bring a movie or your work computer because you’ll be here for a while!

SEBMF Eden is a nice facility and the Nurse Practitioners have always been kind and listened to me but that's about all I can say is positive. This nice new facility doesn't pay for itself so they will nickel and dime you left and right. Want to talk about topics at your annual visit? That will be an extra $500 charge from a doctor you didn't see. Think you need to see a doctor right away? Here's an appointment in a month. I've had much better and far cheaper experiences with Teladoc. Maybe if you have a gold plated healthcare plan SEBMF might be worth it despite the long waits for appointments. But if you're forced to have your family on a high deductible health plan then good luck. Look elsewhere for better service from providers that understand HDHPs. Save time and money and steer clear of SEBMF Eden.

Over the past several years, I have enjoyed the medical care and attention here. The reception staff and clinicians have been so helpful. Today, Erica, administered my second COVID booster and updated my records. Aside from "just a pinch" my visit was quick and painless. Erica is another great example of the superior care here. I'll be relocating soon, but will seriously consider returning for my healthcare needs.

My husband and I and our two kids (born at Eden hospital) are all patients here and have the exact same experience with all providers (about 9 doctors between us, including specialists of various kinds): 1. The doctors are good. Largely smart, creative, well read, and up on current research. I am willing to let one unfortunate incident slip, and one diagnosis made that I am certain was incorrect (but inconsequentially so), and say they are reliably top notch. OB-GYN are the better of the crowd. 2. The high qualification nurses (NP, RN, and nurse midwives) are solid. Generally minor complaints only, and these folks- almost all women- deserve praise. A few (in particular, an extraordinary nurse midwife from my first baby's birth) even deserve a glowing five star review for being truly wonderful and above the call of their jobs. On the whole, though, just consistently good. 3. Low qualification medical staff (assistants, LVN, etc) are embarrassing. I'm talking taking incorrect measurements like getting kids height wrong (so the doctor has to redo them- and I mean EVERY well child visit) and citing incorrect policies (just making it up or lying for their own convenience, it seems). They're just bottom of the barrel, last-in-their-class. It's really incredible they let them see patients. Of this class of workers I would only praise the baby hearing techs, who were 2 for 2 with my kids- gentle and methodical. All the rest have been cocky, roughshod, poor listeners (if another MA interrupts us while we are speaking I am going to walk out), and frankly sort of defensive. The kind of people you just blink at and wonder how they got here and why you have to listen to their drivel. 4. Operationally it is a **dumpster fire**. I can't emphasize enough how downright ridiculous whatever is happening in their back office is. Keeping track of their errors is a full time job (I considered billing them for our time as we spent whole days after normal visits sometimes calling offices, insurers, and more figuring it out). Couldn't even get billing for a kids preventive health visit right. Frequently send bills for no reason that just ...disappear later (I presume when a supervisor corrects them and submits properly to insurance). Policies change without notice (see above- I think sometimes they just make them up and pretend to have something sent out, because the "policies" are so nonsensical they could never be put in writing and held to scrutiny- finding written policies is impossible because they don't exist). No one is in charge ("you'll have to talk to your physician about that"), no one apparently manages the rude, incompetent office staff. No one returns promised calls. No one follows up except actual doctors or qualified nurses for actual medical questions. Covid was an excuse for it somehow getting even worse; they corralled everyone through one entrance/exit where 6' distancing was physically impossible as people pushed past each other, they exempted contractors (ie delivering medical goods or furniture to the facility) from mask requirements, on and on. We literally had a physician have to leave our well baby checkup midway through to send a fax number to another doctor because, apparently, the staff cannot even facilitate that. So enjoy the good doctors, if you can tolerate 1. the idiocy of everyone else and 2. have the time to dedicate to navigating their incompetence.

This review is for Sarah Lindahl- I've had issues for years with my cycle and Sarah is the first person, doctor or PA who has truly listened and taken me seriously. When I went to her for the first time back in 2017 she found something that none of us expected. After my exam, while I was getting dressed, she went and found research and more information for me and printed it out. During this pandemic there have been some times when I just needed to talk to her about a few things, but didn't need an exam. I was able to book phone calls with her to ask her these questions and it was so helpful. During one of these phone calls we went over options for medication and she stayed on the phone with me for upwards of an hour talking everything through, and answering all my questions. She is also incredibly responsive in the sutter health app messaging system and I am grateful for it! She has also ordered tests to find out what could be the cause of my issues and talked to me about the results when she received them (which was in less than 24 hours). Over all I absolutely love her and, for the first time ever, look forward to my exam appointments with a gynecologist. Thank you Sarah!!!! Even though I no longer live in San Leandro and am now in SF I will happily make the trip back here just for Sarah. Read all the reviews carefully because a lot of them aren't for this specific section of the facility. They are random reviews that don't belong under OBGYN

I just had hip surgery in this place. The survey went great. But once the surgery was completed and I was discharged from the hospital this place will do nothing for you. The doctors get paid, surgeon gets paid, the hospital gets paid, but if you need your medicine refilled forget it. That's a process you don't want to go thru. This hospital should be shut down the way the "care" for people. It's criminal. They get one star because you have to select something. My rating is -5 stars. Stay away from Sutter.

Scheduling here is a straight nightmare. They're rude, unhelpful, and don't consider that you've planned your week around your appointment when they cancel it and then say you refused available appointments that you can't possibly make when they've cancelled the long standing appointment you made your schedule around. And they're rude about everything. Plus the office runs SO behind, unless you're the first appointment of the day or right after lunch, you get a massive amount of your time wasted. They have no respect for patients, the phone staff is rude, the doctors have thus far been dismissive and slow to act on anything (definitely reasonable to take over a month for a prescription for pregnancy... ). They're overcommitted to too many patients and don't give a crap about any of them. Would not recommend.

I swear if they reschedule me without asking or move my appointment to a different location one more time I'm going to loose my mind. I have never been anywhere where I have been made to feel like I don't matter and like I am just a cash cow as much as I have here. I'm about to teste the limits of the amount of times I can change my day off at work before there are some kind of consequences. What does it matter if the doctors are good if it's impossible to see them?

The staff is amazing and made this experience as pleasant as it could be. I had to have surgery and all of the Nurses, the doctor and the anesthesiologist were comforting explain everything to me and made me feel valued. Would highly recommend this facility if needed.

This morning my wife tripped on a section of uneven sidewalk and broke her wrist, front tooth, etc. so I took her to Eden Med. E.R.. What a mistake ! I helped her into the E.R. and then was told to wait outside or in my vehicle . Since I realized they would only address the fractured wrist, I did not think it would take long ( maybe 1 1/2 hours ) . After baking in the sun for two hours , I went back into the E.R. and was told by both of the individuals there they could not tell me anything , even though they knew I brought her into the room. They told me to "Call her cell phone" . When I explained that I didn't know the number and I did not have a cell phone, they became rude . I had to drive 8 miles back home to call her (rats) .I should have known better then to take her to Eden after she had a heart attack in 2017 and I thought they could help . NOPE . They are not Stemmi Certified and do not have a Cath Lab, so the patient is then transported to Summit in Oakland (hope they make it) 16 miles away . Glad the traffic was light . If you have a loved one experiencing a heart attack, take them to St. Rose if you want them to live . They are certified . Today's experience lets me know not to go to Eden under any circumstance's
