Juan Carlo Dulos was very nice, he completed the signing of my mortgage documents which we won't get into. The .5 percent I save over other lenders is up for debate considering the headaches to get to signing. Then Juan Dulos suggests applying for a credit card since they already pulled my credit. I had a fair amount of cc debt so I didn't want to apply for another card. He reinforms me they will not be pulling another credit report and I'm basically pre-approved. Well they in fact did pull my credit and then they denied me the card because of my debt. Good looking out Juan, one more example of US Banks incompetent employees or simply used car salesman tactics. You should hear the story about my van loan and how I couldn't get it registered because they didn't know how to process the ppwk. You have fooled me twice and needless to say the last time I borrow money from US Bank.

I went to this location to withdraw my money because my account was on hold. Spoke to Fraud department they said to go to any brach and take my money out. But that's not the case the manager at this location didn't let me. I think he flat decriminate me! Even there's a note on my account. Also I want to change my $20 dollar bill to $100 bill he refused and stated that they don't have $100 dollar bill. What kind of bank is that? The worst customer services i ever gotten in my life!!!!

It is extremely helpful to have a convenient location when you want to talk to a real person. I have been using this branch for years to help me with my business banking needs. I have multiple problems solved by coming into this branch and most recently, Maria helped guide me through the PPP loan process and even followed up with me once the forgiveness portal became available. Thank you so much CV branch, glad to see you guys are back open again.

Taller gentlemen with slicked black hair was extremely rude and asked us to move all the way passed the employee entrance door for Covid safety. There was no sign or markings to tell us this and then acted rude as if we weren't already giving everyone 6 feet of space. This one seems always crowded overall negative experience.

I don't go the the bank very often - maybe twice a year, tops. I ended up here after learning (the hard way) the branch on Foothill was permanently closed and the one on B Street was temporarily closed. Quick in and out; couldn't be more simple and convenient. The Safeway in which this branch resides is not my go to, but I shop here often enough. Having a bank here that is actually open was perfect!

No ATM fees here if you're using a MoneyPass debt card. Up to $500 cash withdrawal per day. Great news if you have an online banking account. No deposit service.

After waiting in line for 20 minutes for one person (who was already being serviced when I arrived), I asked if I could make a deposit to a checking account. Sarah, the teller, obnoxiously said I could not because it would take 20 minutes. I had already waited 20 minutes! There were now 2 tellers (there had only been one for most of the time I was waiting). I was going to deposit a Rather large check. Now I plan to close my checking account and avoid this pretend bank branch like the plague. It’s an absolute joke. It had amazing service when we opened our account years ago. I hope the other tellers have a better tact than Sarah.

This is a bummer to write. About 10 years ago, my wife and I set up an account with US Bank at this branch. The customer service was extremely courteous. We've had a checking account with them since. I went today to open a savings account to add to the checking account. I waited in a line for about 20 minutes. When I got in line, a woman was being helped by the single teller. After about 15 minutes a second teller, joined the first teller. After 20 minutes I was being "helped". I explained that I wanted to add a savings account to our checking account. Sarah, said it would take too long because there was a line. There were 2 people behind me and I had already waited 20 minutes. I hate making people wait. But, I had already waited and it was Sarah's choice to leisurely join the other teller who had been working solo. She acted as if I wasn't there (as I was asking what I was supposed to do) and summoned the next customer. Super rude. I had a pretty big check (at least from my perspective). I'll take it to another bank and I'll close all US Bank accounts next week. I guess to open an account you need to know the hours and hope that you come when there isn't a line and/or you can find a courteous teller.

Edit: This is in response to USBank's reply. The mortgage is in both our names but she does not have a checking or saving account with USBank. Because she said "deposit into my husband's checking account", the $500 cash deposit limit applied. But if she said "mortgage payment" then they would have accepted it. SEMANTICS! Fact of the matter is that money was for mortgage so please don't penalize yourself customers for not knowing the right terminology. If you allowed your customer to explain what they're trying to accomplish, (which in this case was to pay for their mortgage) instead of spouting federal regulations against money laundering, you wouldn't have this 1star review. Previous review: The 1 star review is not just for this branch but USBank as a company. They have a $500 daily limit on deposits if the person making the deposit is not an account holder. My wife and I have separate accounts (she doesn't have USBank) and she was attempting to make a deposit on my USBank account to pay for our mortgage. I understand if someone was making a withdrawal but this is a deposit. She was told it's to prevent money laundering. I work with a company that has rules, regulations and policies but they give us discretionary overrides. If the person making the deposit is a spouse and you have the mortgage account holders information how could it be considered money laundering?

I am not one that generally gives 5-star ratings because my standards are high. In the case of U.S. Bank at Castro Valley, particularly its assistant manager, with whom I dealt, Doug S., my high expectations were exceeded. I was checking into opening a money-market account and an IRA CD. The following Monday, U.S. Bank announced a better account than what we had discussed, so Doug on his own initiative contacted me immediately to give me the new information. Doug took care of the paperwork of opening a new account and setting up beneficiaries, always being careful to give me the rate flyers and other printed information for my files. He was completely dedicated to taking care of everything needed until the job was done. When I subsequently had occasion to contact U.S. Bank's national Customer Service department, I was surprised to have my call answered within one ring without having to punch pre-qualification numbers into the system before speaking to an associate (I don't get this service even from Bank of America as a preferred customer!). The associate couldn't have been more helpful and friendly in taking care of my request. On a previous occasion when my brother had had difficulty qualifying for a mortgage, Doug worked many hours with him to get him qualified. I have met several of the bank officers at Castro Valley, who have all been most helpful and extremely friendly. From my experience here, I would strongly recommend U.S. Bank and particularly this branch.

This location is great, can't say the same for some of the other locations. The tellers are quick and very helpful with any question you have for them and won't tell you "I don't know", or " call 800 number" Hours are great, open sundays and some holidays. Wish all the locations had such great customer service.
