I wouldn’t recommend sending a package internationally from this post office. They printed the wrong country postage stamp so my package got returned back to me and they refuse to give me a refund. They won’t take accountability of their own mistake and blame me for inputting the wrong address which I did not. I have a receipt and custom form to prove it. I called the customer service line multiple times and even they said it was the clerk’s fault. There is no postmaster at this post office and the supervisor is very unhelpful.

Worker named Hung is super rude. Made me get out of line to tape up my package instead of helping me. EVERYONE else helps me . Ruined my Friday .

I was afraid this would happen. Another package claimed to have been delivered to my door, but nobody ever came. This is all too common with this PO. It happens with the more expensive stuff too.

The people here seem nice enough, but mail has a tendency to disappear. This September I dropped off a large batch of mail, taking it into the post office during operating hours and dropping it off in the post office. Every single piece of mail was lost or stolen, not a single piece of mail arrived at it's destination. This suggests to me that whatever happened, it happened IN the Castro Valley Post Office.

They put "delivery attempted but driveway not accessible". Wtf I thought you only park on the street why do you even need to get access to my driveway?Plus, I was literally sitting at the front door. That guy didn't even get off the usps truck. How can that possibly be "attempted "?!

Over the many years in Castro Valley we have had very good experiences but recently have had a very few deliver issues that have been resolved. Recently, however, the post office has made a MAJOR error. The have, recently, replaced the aging drive up boxes with standard walk up boxes and to deposit your letter, you have to exit you car and walk two steps to be able to deposit the mail. The last four times I drove up to the "drop boxes", I had to get out of the car to help a handicapped person deposit his letters. All of them were extremely frustrated with the new boxes, and to be honest, I can't believe that the post office would do something this bad. I can understand that they wanted to update the boxes for security reasons, but these new boxes make absolutely no sense. So the very poor rating.

This USPS location has the nicest and friendliest postmen and postwomen. They let you borrow their pen and markers, and are patient enough to share your most affordable options. I come here all the way from union city!

WOW!!! So I had a serious emergency regarding my mail. I was incredibly stressed. After a group effort the Castro valley post office team Ruby, Julia & Esmeralda Gonsalves completely turned my day around & moved mountains for lil ol me ;) haha! They are wonder women! I am super grateful and also even before that I've had such a great experience with two other helpful men did not get their name. I normally dread going to the post office but every time I leave this one I'm in a great mood!!!! What a warm team of beautiful people. It's good to know these are the people in my neighborhood who care about others and go above & beyond to help!

We waited for Months for a very important document to show that has personal information in it. On 12/28/2022 the document arrives in an envelope completely torn open. The date it was sent? January 28,2022!!! Almost one YEAR later? Then put it in a plastic bag that says "we care". Absolutely unbelievable!!!

Castro Valley Post Office...They have lost my mail including credit cards and important private information too many times to count. Complaints never get resolved. They take the information and probably throw in the garbage as soon as you walk away. It's very obvious that they have criminals working here. Last week I had 3 different people's mail in my box and I sent back through the mail slot, informed the manager and it happened again the next day. Over half of my mail looks like someone attempted to open. Get it together!! Fire everyone (except front desk/counter workers) they are very sweet and hard workers.

BEWARE OF THIS POST OFFICE!. They hired thieves, they steal pkgs sent to the Castro valley community. I sent a pkg, it arrived to the Post office, pkg had an inbound scan on it. The pkg was never delivered. My niece went to the post office to pick up the pkg for her young daughter, they couldn't find it. My niece was told the Post Master would call her. The Post Master never called. 4 months later, no pkg was delivered. SHAME ON YOU FOR STEALING A LITTLE GIRLS BIRTHDAY PRESENT!

A review for JOSOPHINE, Castro Valley USPS. I know most people write negative reviews when they are mad, but few write positive reviews when things are going go so I doing this. I have been tracking a part for 3 weeks only available from the Netherlands. USPS tracking told me it was being returned due to incorrect address. I called USPS Customer Service and they said it was returned to sender. I went to Castro Valley PO just before opening at 9am. I explained situation to Josophine, and told her if I can't find package, I would have to wait another month for delivery. She said supervisor was not available, but she went and search the truck, the line and finally the Supervisor's desk and FOUND the package before it was returned to the Netherlands. Yes there can be lines at the post office, but please consider that sometimes they are going the extra mile for a customer, and someday you may need this service, so take a deep breath, relax, and think good carma. Thank you Josophine!!

This post office use to leave their doors open after hours. They have a kiosk self serve machines. Unfortunately they had been vandalized so now the doors are closed after business hours
