I hired J&M moving to pack a Pod on Aug 27, 2025 in Camas, Wa. This review is for the two workers, not the lead person. They were supposed to arrive between 10 and 11 and showed up at 11:48. One of the guys didn't show so they had to find someone last minute. Understandable, but call and let me know?
Then the two workers moved very slowly and there was a lot of standing around. I also had 3 friends help that day and they all noticed it. I paid $600 for 3 guys for 3 hours and felt like I didn't get my money's worth. There was still so much loading after they left.

My experience with this company is about a good as you could hope for. We moved from Virginia to Carmel with 2 Pods. Come to find out Pods weren’t aloud or capable of coming into where we have a condo. Contact J&M they contacted Pod in Castroville made all the arrangement to transfer out stuff to their truck and delivered to our Condo, they were quick and efficient and even charge much less then their estimate they gave me. Great people, friendly and reliable and honest.

J&M moving has moved me 6 times since I got to the Monterey Peninsula in 1980s. They have just done it again. They are pros, cautious about making sure nothing hit the walls, wrapped and unwrapped all the nice furniture, asked where things belonged, and were so nice when we asked them to move items. They are really fantastic!

We hired these guys to unload our 28 foot trailer after moving. They were fast, strong and efficient! They were intelligent carrying items around corners. I couldn't be happier!

I was recommended J & M by my realtor, and I couldn't be more impressed with the service and professionalism of our moving team. They were efficient, kind, and so good! We had to separate the items in our house between J & M's storage (highly recommend this too!) and a small storage unit, and they were incredible at stacking everything into the storage unit. We were beyond pleased with our experience with J & M!

Used this company to pack our Upack truck for our cross country move. Very displeased with the job they did and do not recommend them. They packed boxes I had labeled as “VERY FRAGILE CHINA” under large plastic tubs full of my husbands tools, that were partially squished when we unpacked the truck. The worst part was that they packed our expensive, newly upholstered armchairs wrapped in nothing but plastic wrap, right against the metal brackets on the inside of the moving truck walls. Due to the vibration that occurred during our cross country move, one chair ended up with a hole burned in it (please see photo posted). Upon showing the photos of this damage to the owner, he admitted his employees did not do a proper job with wrapping it or placing it on the truck. Certainly not professional movers as is claimed on their website.Service: Packing/unpacking

I sent a quote from a competitor and asked J&M to give me a moving quote. I wanted to compare apples to apples. I faxed the quote to the company. Several calls to the company after I faxed the quote I was informed I would be getting a call from Tim. I never heard from him. I called him (a month has passed by) and he informed me he was doing a bid and would contact me later that day. I never heard from him. A week later I contacted the company to inform them I would be going with another moving company since Tim had not responded to me and I had no quote. The lady apoligized and said they have been busy moving. I guess they don't need business that badly.

I used J&M Moving & Storage to relocate out of town. Michael gave me a quote which did not change. I received multiple phone calls from Michael to firm up times and keep me apprised of the goings on regarding my move, such as when we would be loading the truck, when they would be leaving with my belongings and when they would be arriving at the new location. Michael and his crew showed up on time and took great care with packaging and loading my belongings. They placed everything in my house were I wanted and went as far as to pad my bannister on my stairs so as not to damage it while hauling furniture upstairs! I was very happy with J&M and would highly recommend them for your moving needs. You won't be disappointed!!

Two years ago, J&M moving and storage move my belongings from Monterey to Seaside, CA. I WAS very happy with this company as they were professional and took great care with my property. In September, 2019 I had them move my furniture to Minden, NV. What a disaster! There were five workers loading the truck and they laid my five foot tall roll away tool box on its back. All the tools were displaced to the back of the drawers and down to the bottom of the cabinet. This was the worst of their performance. The rest of their mistakes I will over look. I must say that the father/son team that delivered my belongings to Minden did a fine job. I will not use J&M movers in the future!

Jim Stracuzzi and his team first helped me move back in 1996 and have moved me three times since then, the latest this past week. It's wonderful to know that some things never change and J&M still provides excellence in service, reliability, professionalism and competitive pricing. Michael and his crew of 4 were absolutely great, even to arranging the shoes in my closet. They worked so hard and were kind, helpful and totally knowledgeable about placing the furniture, packing and unpacking. I would recommend them totally without hesitation for all your moving needs. Thanks also to his lovely wife, Eileen for helping with all my arrangements.
