This Santa Fe market is so much better than the one located in Seaside. This market has the same setup with a terrific meat counter, bakery and a taqueria. The store is very clean and the shoppers here as well as the staff are always friendly. I'm not good with Spanish but I have gotten some good recommendations and tips about certain foods popular in Mexican culture. I even sampled a salsa made with cactus which tasted really good. The meat counter has very good quality meat and chicken and I purchased some chicken that was seasoned with some wonderful herbs, etc and all I had to do was cook it. It was delicious. The have buns here that are similar to German and Austrian buns which in German are known as Brötchen. They are excellent. The prepared food here is also good and I often enjoy their roasted chicken. It's flavoured really well with excellent seasonings. The taqueria is also good and I enjoy the burritos and enchiladas. The prices at the taqueria is also very affordable for the quality and portion sizes. This is a market that I really enjoy.

This review is for the prices this store is selling their groceries for, it is outrageous! How can a gallon of regular milk be $9?? When you can go to Safeway and purchase Organic Milk for 6$. The prices here are extremely high for #1 being in castroville, #2 not being organic or anything like that. Honestly I do now know who in their right mind would purchase groceries here, you can go to Safeway or Trader Joe's and get cheaper prices for better food. Something is not right, they over inflate their prices, yet still stay in business. The government needs to look into stores that are doing this, it not only harms people who have food assistance, like ebt, (since they cannot buy as much) and people who don't. I will not support a business who takes advantage of people in need, it is unethical and I hope people will see this and stop shopping there, maybe then they will lower their prices to what the market value is, I mean come on, I can go to Safeway and get more than Santa Fe??

Product is placed under the wrong advertising price. And when brought up they say it was the re stockers fault and don't want to honor the price. Went 6/23 5:15pm manager at the time was clueless they hire anyone these days to run a store I bet a circus is ran way better than Santa Fe.

This Santa Fe market located in the small town of Castroville is absolutely a wonderful Mexican grocery store. This location has wonderful employees that are very friendly and always helpful. This market has a terrific butcher ( meat counter) with quality meats and poultry. Prices are reasonable for the good quality that they offer. They also have wonderful produce and fruits and everything is kept very tidy. Delicious baked goods are also available from the bakery area and they even sell delicious Mexican food for amazing prices. This is really a unique market with great prices and quality products with amazing customer service.

This local supermercado is a great place to pick up food whether you’re Latino or not. The have fresh produce, a great supply of meat, cheeses, and salsas. And while it may seem they cater to the local Mexican population, it isn’t true. I’ve been shopping there for years and they treat me like anyone else. I love dropping in because I can get a better arrangement of Hispanic offerings that you won’t find in Safeway, Grocery Outlet or Nob Hill.

Taqueria ?? i bought 3 burritos and 2 tacos asada , seems like they put everything but asada , plus selling the chips now! Feel like they’re trying to make a profit out of everything now . Would not recommend to eat here plus the burritos are expensive with a lil bit of meat . Staff was unprofessional and rude . Used to love the burritos from here but they got different employees now .

Went there to go buy one simple thing asked an employee for help she was completely rude and ignored me with a nasty face so I decided to let it go. Went to get what I needed went to her cashier box everything was good she charged me but once I stepped out of the line she yelled at me and stopped me and asked what I had in the bag that I just paid for that she charged me and I responded with just meat and she asked to get the bag back to double check what was it it. She ended up saying we were charged for something else that was not meat and decided to make a big deal and call the manager which was embarrassing because she falsy accused me of stealing which she had seen and charged what I had. I would never recommend or ever go back there which this was my first time going there. They should be aware of what they are charging the customers before we pay instead of after and then yelling at you Infront of everybody that was there and making's it a big deal which was humiliating she should know how to handle to the situation and focus on what she charged before making people pay to save the embarrassment. Don't ever go there unless you want to be falsely accused .

Carne asada fries and some chicken tacos and a California burrito. Food was bomb. Gonna stop here more often I pass this place when I go surf fishing in the Monterey Bay in Castroville Ca.
