“My dogs have both had non-anesthetic dental cleanings at Dr. Carter’s, and their teeth look great. Dr. Carter also cared for my hairless terrier through a health issue that was causing her a lot of discomfort. He and his staff are helpful, thorough, and genuinely care about the animals they treat. I trust them with my dogs and highly recommend Carter Animal Hospital.”

Dr. Pentoney, my pups’ veterinarian, is the kindest I’ve ever ever met. She is so caring, smart, thoughtful, thorough and patient. She always takes the time to answer all my questions and concerns, and even personally calls to deliver messages about important lab results and tests. Dr. Pentoney has been a godsend even more so recently as one of my dogs has a tumor indicating soft tissue sarcoma, which is terrifying. I am truly SO grateful to this office for their care and kind demeanor. You can tell how much they value their clients and love animals with everything they do.”
“We took our dog to Paws and Claws because they provide chiropractic treatments for animals. Our dog had the beginning of a back issue and they were able to get it sorted out before it got serious. When you have a critically ill pet, you want the absolute best care. We loved (and still love) our Leo so so much, and that is exactly what we received. We are devastated that we lost him, but everyone at Animal Samaritans—from Brendan, Dr. Klomhaus, and all the vet techs, to the reception staff—was respectful, capable of making sound professional judgment calls, and showed incredible empathy when we were having the worst day with Leo. We would have been even more destroyed if they hadn’t been there for us. Thanks to these highly skilled, well-trained, and compassionate professionals, we understood it was time and that we had done everything we could for him.
None of them ever rushed us to make decisions; instead, they gave us sound advice and guidance so we could clearly understand the situation and spend those precious final moments with him. They work in such a difficult profession, but they are incredible at what they do every day for struggling pets and their distressed families. They handled our case with immense grace and respect.

“It was a very positive first visit. Saw Dr. Forney. Very nice as was the staff. Location is very clean and plays soothing music. Shaded parking close to the front door should most definitely be added. Because they are part of a corporation; may be more costly than a sole practioner. Something I will need to investigate.”

“We took a hamster for Esperanza's sanctuary in for her leg to be looked at and make sure she was healthy and the vet staff was fabulous with her and we were a part of the plan for treatment. The atmosphere was calm compared to other VCA facilities I have been in and the Dr.Horwitz was awesome with our patient and my small human who loves that hamster. She came highly recommended by another vet in the valley as well. Here she is taking her meds happily.”

“We’re so thankful this vet was able to see us on a Saturday morning when our dog wasn’t feeling well. Everyone there was super calm and professional, and they really made us feel comfortable. They even had drinks and snacks for people while we waited, which was such a nice surprise. They took great care of our dog and got him feeling much better. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!”
