Great people at Berrys sawmill. Prices are great on hardware etc and the wood quality is far better than what you find at the big box stores.

I have relatives in the Cazadero area so spend some time there. I live in Redwood City, about two hours away. We are in the middle of a backyard redo, and are adding several rough redwood planter boxes. I came across Berry's last Friday. The quality of their lumber far surpassed what we could find here. The people, Bruce, Donald etc were extremely helpful from the wood thru the screws we should use. I ordered all from Berry, and it was delivered to my house today, right on time and complete. Yes, a nominal delivery charge, but the price difference from here to there actually saved us money, and the quality (no cracked ends, freshly milled etc) was tons better. Highly recommend this business.

Meh. I've bought wood for 30 years from this place and my recent experience was not good. 20% of my order was missing, and I had to PROVE it before the owner lifted a finger to make good on the problem. Before that he even suggested I was lying about the missing wood!What happened to the service and professional attention to my project?The rest of the order was about 1/2 good stuff and half very rough material that cost me an extra full day to massage it enough to make it acceptable, barely, and I am good at it. The best part of Berry's was, in my opinion, the local wood that they milled and sold there--"Berry's Stock" It had character, but those days are gone, now they sell the same stuff that you can get from any area vendor, though in this order, below average. I'm shocked I'm leaving 2 stars--confidence lost, character gone. Buyer beware, and count every stick.

The real deal! First rate service and lumber products. The kind and helpful staff are a very real benefit to customers. Also Berry's has a very extensive inventory of related building materials and hardware.

Good prices, competent people, honest. Mostly wood and large building supplies, but look for hardware in the office. They have quite a bit.

Really easy people to do business with. I bought some lumber, they customized it to my shipping needs, and was ready to be picked up the next day.
