The blow dryer in the room was broken and when I used it a piece of plastic from the broken fan inside of the blow dryer shot out and me n hit me in the face... The shower head shot off at me while I was taking a shower... The gentleman this morning was very nice and even offered to see if he could moved us to a different room because the maintenance guy called out and wasn't going to be able to fix those problems for us.. don't get me started about The breakfast, which was an absolute joke.. it was no hot breakfast.. there wasn't even a toaster let alone anything hot but the hot water container on the counter.. the lady at the front desk needs to take a class on customer service... or she probably shouldn't work in or around the public.. it definitely was not worth the money I spent for 2 night...

I recently stopped at the Howard Johnson's hotel in Ceres, California, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. We had chosen this hotel based on the advertised rate of $73 per night, but when I arrived to make a reservation for my brother for a family funeral, I was charged $110 instead. This bait-and-switch tactic is unacceptable.
The website did not allow me to add necessary details to my reservation for my brother’s stay, forcing me to book in person. Despite this inconvenience, both the clerk, Anita, and the manager insisted that the lower rate was only available for online booking, making it seem as if they were doing me a favor by offering the higher rate @ $140, reduced to $110 after complaining. Adding insult to injury, I was also denied the AAA discount that I was supposed to receive.
Such practices are unconscionable. I would advise against staying at any Howard Johnson hotel until they address and correct this misleading behavior. I hope my feedback helps others avoid a similar experience.
