2024 taxes where a complete disaster, they made me do an amendment that I didn't have to do, I got the money back from the state, then it gets to the point where they tell me they cannot longer do anything else for me after reviewing and realizing there was nothing wrong the 1st time ,it was just a mistake on their end, I used to go to Anna Marquez every year but for not waiting I went to Connie, not only it took longer but she was the problem, so after months of waiting and paying the state more money i finally go to the IRS MAIN office in Modesto, they transferred my case to the IRS ASVOCATE SERVICES to do an investigation on which tax representative thought it was a good idea to file an amendment that could be waited till next year so now it's been 4 months of no tax refund because of their mistake, I was told they re going to investigate and revoke the tax preparers license due to incompetentcy , I'm about to get evicted because of that mistake , from now on I'm only going to Anna Marquez and nobody else , the way it was explained to me the moment you walk thru those h&r block doors they re have to get you with something even if its not required so they can meet their daily quote , I mean I paid for the peace of mind the least they can do is refund me me now and just take their money when the real one come in

Was not satisfied with my experience or my overall return. I have used Jackson Hewitt and intuit tax return in previous years and had no complaints. Here at H&R Block,Travissa I think her name was, did not seem very determined on getting us the best return offer we can get and didnt give me the confidence that she was going to do an accurate job. I've heard from a lot of people that H&R Block was not a good choice for my taxes and I made the mistake.

Service was great but fees are highway robbery at its finest. I paid $904.00 in just fees alone not to mention the $1600.00 I owed to the lovely state of California. I wouldn't feel so robbed if I was paying for some real expertise or knowledge that I dont have to do the taxes but the reality is that its a matter of inputting numbers the app does all the work for you and eliminates most human errors so I could have done it myself at home and gotten the same results but for $800 less.
