“They are the best in ceres hands down. I had to unfortunately put my dog down and was not going to be able to afford a private cremation and would not get her ashes back. One of the receptionist only charged me for the visit then pushed it throw to get her a private cremation for free and I was able to get her remains. (This saved me about $500)”

“Have had numerous strays and personal pets spayed and neutered here. Also the afternoon clinic has shots for cats and dogs and doesn't charge a vet visit fee. They are very reasonable compared to most clinics who are outrageous in prices and don't care about keeping pet population down and affordable Spay and Neuter for animals...Go online to see hours and pricing!”

“They've taken care both of our cats including kenneling when we had to travel for extended periods. The cat kennel is open to viewing and offers some "outside of cage" playtime with climbing platforms. When our kitties reached the end of their lives, the staff was caring and gave us the time we needed to say goodbye.”

“I don't know much about this place we just went there when our one dog had to be put to sleep she had a twisted stomach and we had switched her to canned food and it was Old Roy brand and basically she got emaciated on it and because of the emaciation from that we couldn't do the surgery to straighten out a stomach she was just too sickly from it. She was however double her life expectancy which is usually 9 years she was 18 the vets were very impressed.”

“I’m so glad I was referred to this clinic to get my horses teeth floated and his shots. They made a ranch call for the procedure the doctor was so friendly and knowledgeable about everything and discovered some issues I don’t think I would of noticed. They didn’t even think twice or complain when we all found out it was irrigation day, they did their job even with wet feet. I’d highly suggest this vet for all your horses needs they go above and beyond and do amazing work. Thank you guys!”

“Dr. Tia was amazing! She helped our Boer goat through a couple of issues. She explained everything beautifully to my 10 year old daughter and put her heart at ease. Definitely going to be our go-to in the future for our livestock concerns! Highly recommend - and with our one experience, not too pricey either!”

“My little angel, my kitty Scout, became extremely ill. I took her to an emergency vet, where the experience was unpleasant. I went to River Oak Veternarosm the next day. Dr. Chatfield explained that her kidneys were failing with such kindness and in terms I could understand. She answered all my questions and kept me updated on Scout's progress. DR. Chatfield explained that Scout had kidney disease and there was nothing that could’ve been done to prevent it, and now her body is shutting down, in a caring nature, and made a difficult time bearable. My son and I decided to bring Scout home tonight, and sadly, she passed away tonight. I want to thank Dr. Chatfielf and Karen and the River Oak Veterinarian staff.”

“So far, they have been pretty good. My only issues are a little lack of communication one time and a different issue where they still haven't followed through. I gave them his microchip number 3 appointments ago, and they have yet to put it in his charts. I signed up for their wellness plan, and my pup needed a shot that wasn't covered. I wish they would have communicated that it wasn't covered so that I could have made sure I could afford it first.”

“Dr Singh has always provided expert care with experience, care and options for treatment. Best service for cat care we've ever received. Other places, we're just the next in line with no real care plan, just a diagnosis, take it or leave it, and high prices. Not with Dr Singh. He offered expert care, treatment options, not rushed to get in and get out. We've had several visits for acute care, and each time we felt and saw the difference in comparison to all other Modesto veterinarian locations. Highly recommended. Thank you Salida Veterinary Hospital.”

“My 13 yr old dog Milk Tea had collapsed and went limp/unresponsive Tuesday afternoon and I quickly rushed him here. They were able to see him right away and kept him for about 7 hours. Dr. Cunningham saw him and talked me through what was happening and told me he was looking more stable and was now responsive. My dog had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure about 3 years ago, so I knew this day was coming. She had let me know his time was very near and that it would just get harder from here on out as he was in his final stages of CHF. They also found out that he was also in the early stages of diabetes and had kidney stones. She gave me the option to put him to sleep and stop his suffering early on or also try some new medication for his heart and see how much longer he can fight CHF. I knew that I didn't want him to suffer and be on anymore medication because he fought a long strong 3 years with this illness. But I also didn't want to put him to rest if he still had some life in him. She understood and supported my decision and I took him home that night. When I first saw Milk Tea when picking him up from the vet he was very happy to see me and looked like he was doing better but as the night progressed I knew it was his time. The next morning me and my husband knew what we should do, and as tough as it was, made the decision to put him to rest before he got any worse. We took him in at 9am and were pleasantly surprised that Dr.Cunningham was there to assist us. She was so kind and gentle with our dog and also with me and my husband reassuring us and supporting our decision. She let me hold him while she did the euthanasia process and was so sweet with him saying kind words and also gave him a kiss on the forehead, which made my heart so full that a kind genuine person was with us through this difficult moment. Milk Tea definitely felt loved and safe in his final moments and we want to thank Dr.Cunningham and her staff for that. Overall, this very difficult experience was made a little bit easier by Dr.Cunninghams kindness and also the staff in the front/nurses that assisted us. Everybody was very kind and I will be recommending my family and friends to come here in case of an emergency.”
