“I just wanted to come forward with the most honest review about this place. For dealing with the loss of my child hood pet kitty and finding a place to put him down at, going to Monte vista I had a bad experience the vet that I had seen had no sympathy no customer service and just had no emotion talking to me or didn’t care to be there knowing what I was in there for. they quoted me for the cremation and without even taking the actual cremations home it came out too 600$ and with the cremations 700$. I didn’t know what to do I didn’t want my cat to be put down there after what I had experienced. A friend ended up recommending to me to try out canal vet. So I called and scheduled an appointment and when I tell you I’ve never experienced such an amazing experience with a vet clinic. The staff was caring, so understanding, and showed so much sympathy. When I signed to get his cremations the total was only around 430$ including the little box they put him in with his name on it as well and that’s all I was told about. I realized I completely forgot to get his fur or paw print or anything like that and to my surprise I ended up getting a call saying they had his fur there for me when I forgot to ask for it!! on top of that in the mail they sent me a care card with all of the staff’s signatures on it with a heart felt message and my cats PAW PRINT when I tell you this is how every animal facility should treat there customers especially after going through this type of loss I’m beyond thankful for this place to go out of there way to do the smallest things that make their facility so special. thank you so much I wouldn’t have wanted this experience to go any other way.”

“We had our Luke here for the last 7 years... unfortunately, we were called to carry out the humane pet parent task and helped Luke cross the rainbow bridge on Saturday, July 18. Staff is compassionate, calming, reassuring, professional, understanding of our sadness, this process, and the grieving. We have a private cremation for Luke. The selection of urn choices is nice. Isabelle is the BEST. She is a kind soul - I asked a special favor, and Isabelle provided my heart with comfort during this most difficult time in my life. Luke is the best boy ever, my sweet sweet Luke, my pooh bear, Sir Luke, Cool Hand Luke, Luke bear, my companion, my best friend. We had 13 years together, and 130 years would have been insufficient. I lay on the floor with Luke and listened to his struggling, labored breaths and knew we were helping him, not letting him suffer, keeping him comforted. Luke was not alone; I am writing my love letter to My Luke and putting together a photo album. These were the best 13 years of my life. There will never be another My Luke. I will always remember you, Luke. I will always talk to you, Luke. I can take you camping and have you in every room of our house. Right beside me, where you always were. My velcro dog, my shadow, my greeter, treat hound, attention hound, no matter where in the house I was he was here also. I prayed for Luke to go in his sleep so I did not have to make this terrible decision. G-d; however, knew what I needed and I was allowed one last snuggle with Luke, one last ear rub with Luke, one last belly rub with Luke. Thank you G-d every day for the gift of Luke in my life. I will miss EVERYTHING about you my sweet sweet boy.”

“I brought my cat in for a 2nd opinion since my regular Vet was trying to charge me for things I feel she didn't need to have done and Dr. Ramirez was so understanding and offered to start with blood work and go from there, unfortunately my poor girl was in stage 3 kidney failure and had Anemia so bad that she would require a blood transfusion. I made the heartbreaking decision to let her cross the rainbow 🌈 bridge to end her pain & suffering 💔 I have never experienced a Veterinarian with so much compassion for his patients and their grieving family members. From the ladies at the front desk to Dr. Ramirez, this clinic is beyond amazing in my experience! I chose a private cremation & I pick up my girls cremated remains in a couple of weeks 😔”

“Given the situation this hospital was the best choice. They have items such as ultra sounds that other vets wont. Spending a little more for a lot more of a broad scope of services is worth every penny, or you spend that time looking around while your pet is in pain. So its worth it. We had to put our pup down and this hospital was very helpful in this tough time. After everything was said and done they even took the time to send a card to my home with everyone's signature on it. I know it may not be a lot to some people but little stuff like that goes a long way in my book when something as hard as putting your pet down is something you have to go through. I will continue coming here, and will recommend as well”
