I honestly don’t know what’s up with Hot Topic, but my experience was awful. The manager (she was pasty looking and had a septum) was super rude and made me feel like I was wasting her time, even though there was barely anyone else in the store. Like, why rush me when I’m just trying to shop?
On top of that, I had a coupon I wanted to use, and she completely ignored it at checkout. I didn’t realize until after I left. Honestly, I don’t know what kind of customer service this is, but I won’t be coming back anytime soon. Do better, Hot Topic.

We went around 5:00 on 3/8/25 and the cashiers and associates on the floor were so helpful and kind. The cashier helped us try to find jeans in my little sister size online that weren’t in store for so long. They are a great representation of the store and we will definitely come again!

BRING BACK OG HOT TOPIC!!!!!! I’m tired of seeing the store be taken up my Sanrio and anime (I’m not a hater towards those two things) I wanna walk in a immediately see band merch, stuffed belts, cuffs, and every other emo essential. I know they update to fit in with the times but still, now some alt people feel embarrassed to step into a hot topic. Come on and bring it back pleaseeee

Whoever was working around 2:30pm on January 31st, 2024 should be fired for rudely talking to me and my friend. We had our backs turned to the t-shirt wall and were unaware of this employee, (she was light skinned with tattoos) and the guy behind her. they were pushing some loaded carts and instead of a simple ‘excuse me’ or ‘please step to the side’ we were greeted in a rude tone ‘can y’all move.’ Seems like she either needs to be fired or retrained for customer service skills, because that completely enraged my friend and myself that we left the establishment immediately. I wouldn’t have been upset if she had approached us in a more humane and respectful way, and I had no shame saying please for her since she seemed to have forgotten her manners. 0 stars if i could give that a rating, please don’t come into this store if you want to be greeted with attitude. you’re better off going to lakewood mall!

Worst customer service, not by the regular employees but by the management. Fatima a newer manager I suppose helped me out and asked me so many questions about how I was paying for my order as if I had stolen the card I was using, It made me so uncomfortable and it was completely unprofessional to ask a costumer if that was really their card. Vince another manager even questioned if my husband and I were really married like if that was any of his business? But I’m assuming it was because my partner and I are an interracial-queer presenting couple. Overall worst experience I’ve ever had in an establishment, I hope no other customer ever gets treated this way.

Hoping the issue gets resolved because people can get seriously injured. Their dressing room is packed with boxes stacked almost 6+ feet tall .
