“I am so thankful to the Green Thumb Santa Clarita team who worked on my Italian Cypress order. The buyer who took my order, the cashier, and the delivery man. They were all so efficient, professional and extremely pleasant. My order was delivered to my home in 1 week.

I spoke to another nursery that is closer to my home 4-5 times about this order, but did not get anywhere for a month or so. With Green Thumb Santa Clarita, everything was so simple.”

“They have an extensive selection of plants at all maturity levels and the cheapest pricing we’ve seen too. Made the mistake of buying some big birds of paradise that were in terrible shape elsewhere for $125 a piece and found perfect ones here that was super tall for $65.”

“Alex has an amazing variety of rare fruit trees that may not be found anywhere else. When you buy a fruit tree from him, you also are getting expert advice on how to prune, fertilize, and otherwise maximize fruit production. He is currently helping me to nurse my guava back to health after I made some mistakes in the first year of growing it. I am learning a lot in the process. I highly recommend Alex and his nursery.”

“DIY still feels like a place where people care about helping you and keeping their store organized and neat. Most importantly, I've been able to call and get answers about stock before making the drive, which is very useful.”

“I felt compelled to write an outstanding review of Boething Treeland and recognize the exceptional customer experience I received in dealing with this nursery. I called yesterday, in search of a tree to replace one that had gotten diseased in our back yard. We have a whole row of trees that are uniform and one in the middle died and left a gaping hole in our privacy layer shielding us from our neighbors home. This tree is very rare and hard to find (Dwarf Carolina Cherry Laurel (Prunus caroliniana 'Compacta'), especially this time of year, and in the "perfect size" and height. I called Boething and Paul answered the call. He was helpful and very attentive from the start. He immediately knew what I was looking for, and even explained to me that there are different "strains" of the Carolina Cherry Laurel...something no one ever told me. He clearly knows his trees! He asked me to send a photo and one close-up with the leaves. He immediately texted me back and said it was the "dwarf" version. He then sourced it on-site and immediately sent me photos of two healthy trees. The price was EXTREMELY low and very reasonable. The tree was gorgeous, and perfection! The only downfall for us is the fact that we need to pick-it-up b/c we are outside their delivery zone, which is understandable. We will need to drive to Woodland Hills from South County OC and renting a truck (a 6 hour round trip). This may affect our decision ultimately...but I did feel compelled to recognize the exceptional service, pricing, quality, and responsiveness I received from Boething and Paul. We are considering a crepe myrtle too, so I will be bookmarking Boething and def. call again!!”

“An amazing collection of thousands of succulents and cacti hidden away behind a small storefront off of Parthenia. I've visited a couple of times and enjoy wandering through the thousands of plants (including some very rare ones) behind the storefront. Parking is limited to a few spaces but you can park on the street. The staff is super helpful and they also sell a wide range of pots and gardening/plant books. I highly recommend it.”

“Oct 2023The guy who runs the place inside the store is really friendly and helpful. He's an honest guy, making an honest living. You will find that the quality here far exceeds any of the stuff you'll find at a Home Depot is for instance, and in some cases even Lowe's.They deal mostly in ceramic, and clay pottery.I was trying to find some plastic or resin pieces that were durable, and the owner had suggested to try a few other places. He didn't have the inventory, but he was still very friendly in suggesting some other spots to try.I do wish they would carry some thick, resin or plastic pots that are 1/8 to 1/4 in thickness. I'm sure this would be my go-to spot if that were the case. For now, I'm stuck with the big corporate places. In general though, if you're looking for a piece that's going to stand out in your garden, something as a focal point, or conversational piece, I think you'll find that this place might have what you're looking for.”

“So underrated! We went in and had a great time walking around and picked out some beautiful flowers. Went to check out and waited to get hit with the huge price and we’re so surprised at how affordable it was! Move over Home Depot and Lowe’s, this family owned business has won my business! Plus the man who helped us was so nice and knowledgeable!”

“Really liked the amount of beautiful plants they offered at wholesale prices. Helpful staff, great selection and lower prices. Growing Grounds is the best place to go for professional landscapers.”

“LOVE their plants and the people working there. I bought five roses there three years ago, and despite being attacked by pests and critters, cut down aggressively in the midst of growing season (by my trigger happy gardener, lol), torrential rainstorms, and extreme heat over those last years, they are all thriving. I think the key is to tell them about the conditions in your garden - the soil, sun, water, etc. And if you're unsure about soil conditions, bring a little bucket from your garden and get advice - they are brilliant with that!”

“I want to give a huge shoutout to Anthony at the West Hills Home Depot. Every single time I’ve come in, he’s gone above and beyond to help me out. He’s incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. Whether I needed help finding the right product or had questions about installation, Anthony always made sure I left with exactly what I needed — and with a smile on my face!
It’s rare to come across someone who consistently provides such excellent customer service. Anthony truly cares about his job and the people he helps, and it shows in everything he does.
I sincerely wish him all the success and happiness in the future. Home Depot is lucky to have such a dedicated and outstanding team member. Thank you, Anthony — you’re the best!”

“Phil in tools is working his butt off today. People might complain about the wait, but let's not forget he didn't choose to lock up all the tools, that's a Home Depot policy because of thefts. He helped every customer with grace and patience. Perhaps Home Depot could staff another person to help because Phil had to walk each person to check out and that is very time consuming.”

“I know HD can be a pain sometimes. But honestly, for someone like me that screwing a light bulb is the highest levels of construction ability, they have been very useful. But , today, I didn't come in to make any repairs or screw any light bulbs. I came to but a refrigerator, a washer and a dryer. My source for appliances has always been the Best Buy store. But since Best Buy massively mishandled my order that in addition to appliances included four TVs, I turned to Home Depot. The young lady with a great attitude helped me. Unfortunately, they didn't deliver my appliances so I couldn't accomplish my goal. That said, as dusty as everything is in HD, I tried to go and wash my hands. I expected to see a filthy bathroom with no soap and a mess. But to my surprise, the bathrooms were cleaner than some of the bathrooms in the best restaurants in Beverly Hills. You walk in there and it smells fresh. So next time at HD, make sure you visit the bathrooms and be assure that it will be a pleasant experience.”

“This review is only for the kids workshops that take place on the first Saturday of every month. This is my go-to location for the kids workshops. They are way more organized than other locations that we have been to. They're even considerate enough to put up tents on those terribly sunny and hot days. They always have at least two employees running the workshop, they play a playlist of Disney hits over a portable speaker during those hours, and most recently, they had printed out a list of all of the people who had registered beforehand to make sure the kits went to those customers.”

“October 2023Garden SectionI wish there was a way I could give this place 3.5 stars. It's not quite a four, but it's not quite a three either.Service:Not bad, but could be better. It was so hard trying to find someone to help me in the garden section. There's a cashier at the front that cannot leave her station. But she was really cool helping me do some price checks on some items that I guess had gotten mixed up on the shelves. If you're on a mission, and you know what you're looking for, then someone will point you in the right direction eventually. But if you're looking to sit down with someone for a minute, and discuss what your project is and what your needs are, good luck. You'll never get that kind of service at this home Depot. There are 3 things that I would definitely buy here. One of them is a super durable resin pot that's at least a quarter of an inch thick, and measures somewhere around 11 inches wide by about 11 inches tall. This is a great planter to put anywhere you'd like, and that has a nice elegant look to it. It was around $30. You spend a little more money, but you're going to get something that's thicker and more durable than just the cheap flimsy plastic pots that are really thin.Lowe's has similar pots for around $14. Point being, if you have the time to shop around, do your due diligence to look for those bargains. If you're in a crunch though, just know that there are some items here at Home Depot that are worth it.The second item I would buy here is the wood pot Movers. They're a good price at about 20 bucks. They'll probably last you a good couple years. If you're willing to make the drive, and spend a few more dollars though, Lowe's has similar pop movers that are made out of cast iron, with better wheels. These ones I'm talking about at Lowe's are $25. So spend a little more, get a little bit of quality I say.Third item: The wood trellis at $16 isn't bad. A little thin on the material, not sure how long it would last. But definitely a good, fair deal.Green Thumb further north for instance had a similar trellis in height, double the thickness of the material for just over $35. So the individual slats of wood were twice as thick, and the Staples used to attach them all seem like they were more heavy duty.Overall, if you're in a pinch, and need to purchase very specific items, Home Depot can be a good choice. Honestly though, I'd suggest go to home depot, take note of their inventory and prices, then go up to Lowe's and see what you can find there.”
