I've been here for a few months now and it is absolutely amazing!! The instructors are very helpful and well detailed on how to ride a horse! They also help and show us how to tack up a horse and to take care of the horses! I honestly thought it was just horseback riding lessons and that's it, but I was wrong with that! By doing what they have teach me, this helped me so much to know a lot about horses!!

I enrolled my five year old in the beginning group horse lessons and she absolutely loves it here. TEE has such a warm family environment, I love the size and the attention my daughter gets especially as a beginner. She can have the wiggles at times but horse lessons at TEE have really helped her with her attention and understanding when to play and when to focus. We love the instructors and the care they have for not only the students but the animals as well. Highly recommend TEE!!

This is the best school for kids to learn how to ride and take care of horses. The price for lessons not expensive. Recommended 100%

My 9 year old daughter participated in a week of horse camp this summer, including a one night camp out, and had a wonderful time! She loved getting all of the ride time, caring for the horses, and crafts and game time. Seeing her confidence during the parent presentation when she stood up on the back of the horse was amazing. She absolutely loved the sleepover where they set up their tents in a horse turn out and went on a night ride. When we picked her up the next morning we weren't even in the car before she was asking if she could do the camp again next year.

My eight-year-old did summer camp and took weekly group lessons and had an awesome experience. The instructors and staff are great and my daughter learned so much. When my daughter hit a snag in her growth due to skittishness, the instructors were able to talk it through with her and she was able to literally get back in the saddle! The instructors also gave her the tools she needed to manage unexpected horse behavior. The older riders also help out and provide a different perspective for the young riders. The only thing I would caution is that their new location at Mountain Meadows Ranch was crazy hot in summer and can get really windy in the winter.

Such a great place! Everyone is so helpful. Gayle is fast at responding and always tries to assist in any way with all. Ashley is awesome and an amazing attentive trainer. I had not ridden before and from day 1 was comfortable because of Jennifer and Heather showing me all the steps in detail and being patient all the way through. I can't say enough great things about the whole experience and when your there you don't want to leave. The horses are so well cared for and the grounds are beautiful.

My daughter has been riding at TEE for nearly 2 years and I can’t say enough positive things about this place! The instructors are knowledgeable, engaging and super friendly. My daughter feels right at home when she’s at the ranch; she has learned so much and has developed a passion for riding. They were quick to figure out during COVID how to run a safe, awesome summer camp that they’ve done for years and we will be attending again. During camp, the TEE instructors were able to help my daughter really advance in her skills; she not only has become a good rider, but her riding lessons have been part of key character-building for her. The kids at the ranch learn the meaning of hard work, responsibility, focus, and the importance of caring for horses. I’ve definitely seen those traits translate into other parts of her life where she’s organized and dedicated to school and has even improved at doing her chores :). We’ve loved going to TEE so much that I’ve started taking lessons again as an adult, and it’s been great to be outside and connect with the horses while also gaining new skills in a sport I haven’t done in years. If you’re looking for a place that will advance your child’s skills as a rider, but also have a warm, safe, challenging, and very fun environment to learn in, TEE is an amazing choice!

I was going to TEE for 6 years(since I was 5). One of the trainers would yell at me for every mistake I made. She even told my mom that she doesn’t like kids. She also favorites people. Once, the horse I was about to ride would walk forward, so she kicked him FROM THE GROUND. She made so many of my friends leave the barn, including me. When I finally stood up to Gayle and the trainer, Gayle got mad and tried to get me in trouble with my mom. Gayle tried to sell me the horse I was leasing for $1 because she didn’t want to pay for her anymore. Please don’t go here if you don’t want any haunting memories.

Great place for learning all about horses. The staff is super friendly and the new location is really nice (and a convenient). Our son really enjoys his horse lessons.

I was looking to start horseback riding lessons and found a couple spots I thought were promising. However, once I got into contact with TEE owner Gayle, I knew this was the place for me. She always responded to my endless questions via text with speed, understanding, and total clarity. The ranch where she and her staff work is spotless, organized, and well cared for. Jen is always there and always willing to lend me a hand or word of reassurance when I'm trying to tack up my horse or if I misplace my helmet lol and Ashley is literally the best trainer you could ask for. She's patient, clear, understanding, and energetic. She walks endless miles around the horse corral with you and just keeps up conversation effortlessly. I'm 28 but I overhear how she works with kids too and the quality of the lessons are always the same. I live in Beverly Hills and make the trek out to the valley every Friday afternoon simply because I don't wanna go anywhere else and I don't wanna be instructed by anyone but Ashley. And the prices are really competitive. Overall 10/10 recommend.

This is the best horse training place in the valley! The Chatsworth location is the best of the best. The instructors are very knowledgeable and patient with the riders. My granddaughter is gaining so much confidence and she is learning all aspects of horse care and riding. She can't wait until the next lesson even in 100 degree weather. I used to own several horses and I also rode in horse shows so when I say the instructors are great I feel like I'm speaking from a horse riders point of view. They are very knowledgeable about all aspects of riding and you can tell they really care about the horses and the students. I'm so glad I found Total Equestrian Experience. I highly recommend if you're looking for a top notch riding school, this is the place to go!
