“I'm so thankful to have found Grand American Tire. I was driving from Bakersfield to Orange County, hit a pothole on the 5 and got a tear in one of my front run-flat tires. I could have had a sidewall blowout on the freeway at any point. I called two BMW dealerships whose service centers were open. One BMW service department wouldn't accept walk-in's for service and the other (BMW Sherman Oaks) was accepting walk-in's but told me upfront they wouldn't honor my tire & wheel protection warranty. Why? Because it was a Saturday (and they wouldn't make any money off of it). Thankfully I found Grand American Tire. They were busy but still took me as a walk-in, quickly retrieved a new run-flat tire from their local warehouse before the warehouse closed at 2pm and had my car ready to go in 1 hour. If I was going to pay out of pocket, I'm happy to give my money to the efficient and hard-working team at Grand American Tire. What could have ruined my day only turned out to be a 1 hour wait. You guys take pride in your work and I appreciate you!”

They're open early in the morning and they've saved my butt on two occasions when I needed a used tire to get me through the next few months before I was ready to buy a new set of tires. “What a great shop. I was visiting my son who lives in the area. His 1954 Chevy truck had a front brake issue and needed immediate attention. Me being from Oregon I had no idea where would be the best place to take it. I found Ben's shop on line and all the reviews were positive so I brought it to Ben. Simple enough job welding on a front hitch to my expedition truck, but the quality of the final product couldn’t of been better and a far more reasonable price then the “trailer hitch welders” in the area.”

I had my stock allow wheels on my Highlander professionally painted with plasti-dip as a favor over a year ago, and needed to touch up the scratches I had put on them since.
I checked with JR at Canoga HTW for an estimate, and he asked me to bring the paint and come in.
JR gave me two options—the full strip/redo, or the faster, less expensive added coats over existing paint. I was warned of mismatching colors and outlines in the new coats of paint. I appreciated that warning and JR setting realistic expectations.
I chose less expensive because that’s essentially what this is—matte black stock wheels for less.
I’m so glad I checked with JR. Not only did he give me a like-new paint job and look, he gave me a price that he was happy with, and I was happy with. That’s good business!
Attached are photos of my 3 scratched wheels before restoration, and photos of 4 restored wheels AFTER JR’s skilled touch and eye for detail.

“The Simi Valley location is great! My new go-to shop for tires, brakes, etc.
I went in this morning at 9a and spoke with Eddie about some work another tire shop had told me needed to be done almost immediately. They claimed it was a cracked bushing and, if left unrepaired I was running the risk of killing my car. It was causing a strong vibration/shimmy upon braking. He had Vic look at it and the discovery was actually; the brake rotors were warped and needed to be machined.
Within 2 hours I had my car back and enjoyed a smooth, shimmy-free drive home. All at a great price.
He also gave me a fantastic quote on 4 new tires which I'm hoping to get next month (ah, the joys of living on Social Security).
