I just have to say this is one of the most hospitable, easy to visit forests in the country. The interpretive sites are nice and have clean bathrooms and solid picnic benches, Hat Creek and other locations have excellent picnic sites, and most importantly, they are conserving ground water and lowering fire risk with extensive tree thinning operations. It's pretty easy to see there is a lot of work being done for the American people on this forest.
