Terrific option for low cost spay & neuter (especially with the Paw Prints voucher). I recommend calling ahead of time if your pup is anxious at the vet to work out sedation meds beforehand, so you don't end up coming back for a second visit. It will take at least 2 months to get an appointment; plan accordingly. Vet assistants were friendly and kind, easy to work with.

Staff are nice but lack professionalism. Understaffed and needs a better director to run this place.

I love the cat I adopted and I am grateful for the services that they provide to all the babies in need. However, their clinic staff is rude and not very forthcoming. I adopted a cat, did the right thing and scheduled his appointment for his booster and upon arrival at the clinic they informed me that I needed to start the vaccinations over again because they were passed due. When I asked how and why this was not explained to me they replied, "thats adoption". This was very misleading as when I reviewed my adoption paperwork I was well within the time frame for his booster. This was obviously a money grab for new adopters. Veterinary care is already so expensive so to add this on top was very frustrating.

Adoption Services: 5 Stars PlusVeterinary Services: 3 StarAdoption services are top notch and the care and facilities are among the best I've seen throughout the country. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable, and they know each pet Intimately ensuring a perfect match to your household.Standard veterinary services, are performed by the single, highly competent Veterinarian, who treats all pets for the Butte Humane Society. They practice techniques that minimize fear and anxiety in your pets, and offer a discount on all future Vaccinations for any pet your adopt through their shelter. However, in order to accommodate all needs with one vet, all services require dropping your pet off at the start of the day, for pick-up typically in the afternoon. In my one experience using their veterinary services this did result in communication issues which were quickly addressed by management.

They answered all of my questions and treated my baby girl Delphine very well. They also accept payment assistance for spaying and neutering with a voucher that you can get from Paw Prints Thrift Store (Paws runs to make this possible).

Upon my first visit to the Butte Humane Society, I was immediately struck by the impeccable standards of the facility--elegantly designed and meticulously maintained, it truly serves as a sanctuary for its animals. But, the passion and dedication of the staff members like Meaghan Johnson elevate this establishment to a noteworthy level. My time volunteering there as a photographer has been such a joy, and I encourage our community to come to see the great things that are happening at this place. They are doing some incredible work and deserve all the support we can give.

DON’T TAKE CATS HERE!!! They are not friendly with cats and do not value these appointments. My cat was in the building for 6 hours for an eye exam that takes 10 -15 minutes .I called multiple times to check if I could pick up my kitty and they NEVER gave me a call for pick up time . I observed that they are taking in more appointments than they can handle properly . Cats and dogs get dropped off for various appointments at the same time You have to try to check in while a crowd of people and their pets are also checking in . They push out all the pets like they are an order at a restaurant . It doesn’t matter how long ago your pet was actually done with their appointment they want pick up to be all at once . Overall this is an Unprofessional clinic and they should make it better for everyone’s pets and experience . If you have a cat I recommend Chico hospital for cats . Butte Humane Society operates un safe and un efficient appointments don’t waste your time if you care about your pet .

Considering our situation, they were most helpful and kind and very inexpensive, I don't know how we would have handled it any other way.

All the girls who work here are very friendly and go above and beyond to answer any questions you may have and go out of their way to help you with anything you may need to get started with your new fur baby. I am more than happy with the cat I adopted through here. She has brought so much joy and laughter to my life and helped me in ways I could never explain. Thanks again for all you have done for me and my pet and if I ever need another animal I am definitely choosing you guys to help with that.

I recently adopted a teenage puppy. The staff was so helpful and accommodating to my needs of time with this new pup. Betti Pascua met me on every occasion and was the first friendly smiling face to greet me each time. She really made the process feel like I was going to meet a friend and you could feel her genuine concern for our pup as well as her excitement for our adoption process. She continued to check on our RockyMiles even days after Thanks for all you do...I appreciate you, Betti!

I've called them many times for emergency help with a sick dying animal and not one time have they ever been willing to help me. Their entire existence is to help animals, yet that's not what they want to do. I called the other day because I needed a cat with a dying cat, suffering massively, to be put down immediately and they provide a low cost option for that according to their website, but when I called, and I had to call numerous times during when they are supposed to be answering the phone, they said they're not doing euthanizations anymore and had no idea where I could go I couldn't believe she was being serious. horrible horrible place!

Just wanted to give kudos to the BHS clinic staff. They are so wonderful with both my cat, Cowboy and my 100 lb Rottie, Stetson. They are always so friendly. Even when you can tell they've had a rough day, they greet us with a smile. I have used them for both neuters of the cat and dog and vaccines as well. I do have another vet, but BHS is so reasonable on their pricing, it would be silly to go anywhere else. Snaps to you all, Stetson and Cowboy love you!!!
