I had bad experiences with "slippery Dave" Stripped parts off of my lot and wouldn't give the back without a huge hassle. Last auction I bought from him he didn't give me one lot and I didn't catch it because he kept my receipt. I saw it in the next auction and called him on it only to get hung up on and then kicked off of his site. I had been warned by others but he seems like a nice guy..NOT Beware he is bad news folks, good luck.

“The Difference Auction House” 1600 Chico River Rd, Chico CA.Dealing with this company has been one of the worst experiences of my life.My husband passed away unexpectedly and I had to downsize 50 years of his collecting and accumulating. I hired The Difference Auction Company.They said all the things I wanted to hear, they removed 8-10 trailer loads from my property and said because I had so much it would take at least 2 auctions. Never did they say it would take 7 months and that they would mix all my items with dozens of other peoples items. So, I had thousands of items mixed with other peoples items and a very poor accounting of what was mine, no inventory of what was mine and no payment on items because they said “oh, that wasn’t your item”. Guess that is the plan, that way you can’t keep track of what is or isn’t yours. I was not paid for many items, argued with about whether an item was mine, not received checks, (told the “check” is in the mail), wouldn’t respond to visits to their business or calls, absolutely no accountability. If I can save just one person from going through the anguish this business caused me I will be happy. I have never dealt with such dishonesty and the lack of respect for my deceased husband is hard to bare.With the enormity of the amount of items taken from here and the fact that I wasn’t told my stuff would be mixed with many other peoples stuff there is no way to keep track…even though I was promised I would receive a list of every item in an auction ahead of said auction.Without having a list and 7 months into auctions, my items mixed with other peoples items was an impossibility to keep track of on my end so I will never know how much I never got paid for. I even had items taken from here that weren’t supposed to go to auction and when I asked for items to be pulled from auction I was charged.Please don’t fall for all the feel good stories from them…and don’t trust them to take your property with the promise of it being auctioned off and that you will get paid, it’s not going to happen. So many excuses! I will never know how much was kept of mine and never did go to auction. Sorry I was such a fool. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

This is the best place to find items you never knew you wanted.When winning an item you really want,it's best to put a proxy on it. Also,try to.watch the bid close. I have lost due to last minute higher bids.

Be very cautious with this couple; they're deceptive, explosive scam artists, dog n pony show! Slipper, sneaky, smooth klepto Dave and Rose team! They promise that they can sell what you have and "do really well, and get the highest dollar. But the reality is they get the lowest price! In your face their nice and eager to do business with you and Rose signs an agreement. But they do not follow or pay the client per the agreement!! They come to your resident location and remove your personal property. So in reality you expect that if you give them thousands of dollars of your property, you would expect to recoup from your investments a percentage of all properties removed. It's beyond challenging to recoup my investments and knowledge of my account bookkeeping status with their business! There's lots of hidden, unexplained secrets how they handle and sale your property. Many of my things were never posted for auction and not even listed on their bill of sale lists. When brought to their attention; they lie, back peddle, make excuse and Dave will insult your intelligents and Rose is full ATTITUDE and ignorance. They have poor recorder keeping and expect the client to provide recorder keeping information and auction lot numbers of any properties in question not paid, this is backward business! They have the audacity to tell you they've paid you X dollars and the client never received such payment. They aren't in it to help the client, they prey on vulnerable people. Once they remove your property, they take ownership as if it belongs to them, and take control and are no longer cooperative with knowledge to the client regarding your personal property or investment percentage! Your property is virtually "given away free", they bundle and sneak in freebies without your knowledge. You're better off to sale yourself or give them to family and friends. You email their info.com, and call and call, and all you hear is static, play stupid, back pedaling, excuses, ignore, attitude, stoned walled and insulted. Forget any idea of recouping a small portion of your initial investment! It's beyond challenging to collect payment!! They pretend to be helpful "in your face" - but their FAKE. They have their "deceptive, con game" down to convince the client, but once they retain your property they steal your property and financially from you. To this date they still own me 3k and denies, lies, ignores and insults. This couple is deceptive, explosive, dirty business scam artist's thieves. Be very cautious with them!!

I cannot recommend this company. They don't do a very good job with posting descriptions then when items sell it's an act if God to get your money from them. We waited way longer than the stated time frame to get our money from the sells which only happened after multiple emails and demands. Then I only got a patial payment and had to request the balance. I requested an itemized list of our things and what they sold for which I was told I would get but never did receive. Another month or so later I still had not received payment for a few other items. I again sent more emails and told to wait 21days after auction closed...still no payment and it's been 21days plus an additional month. Multiple emails and no response. They still owe me money. You'd be better off using Craigslist or having garage sales.
