About Chico DMV
Chico DMV is an excellent and surprisingly efficient location. Many describe it as the best DMV, with a wonderful experience and very friendly, professional staff. It is large with plenty of seats and several windows. The key is to arrive early, as it opens at 8 am. While appointments are highly recommended, you often do not need one because the place runs so quick. Visitors are frequently in and out within an hour or two, sometimes even in just a few minutes, without unpleasant experiences or long waits.

Nobody wants to deal with DMV employees but this place isn’t as bad as most other locations.

I went in without an appointment and it only took about 30 minutes. The two people who helped me were very efficient and pleasant.
