My personal experience with this store isn't that wonderful. My main concern and complaint is the check out lines, the handful of times I've been there they only have one open line and then there is the self-checkout, where are the employees? I went through the line, the employee did not ask me if I needed bags nothing at all, no bags in sight, I'm standing at the end with all my groceries looking for bags not once did she acknowledge me, so I helped myself to the paper bags underneath, and she did the same to the couple after me, so I handed them a few bags. And that employee came off her rocker and snapped at me about how I can't just take bags I need to pay for them. Anyhow, it got a little heated. I reported that. She should of ask if I needed bags and how many. She did neither. It was pretty ridiculous. Very disappointed. The customer service really needs to be upgraded and re-evaluated at the Chico,CA store. I understand having a bad day, I get that maybe they are short on staff, but that behavior from a long time employee is wrong and it should not be excepted. She knows better, plain and simple she was very rude and unpleasant.

I went to the Foodmaxx all the time but this time very disappointed with employee. Even with the WIC card, i got no free bags😒😒😒. I went to the self checkout all the time with free bags.

Man idk why I had a negative memory of this place before and never shopped here... I went in today and it was like a whole new shopping experience. Whoever organized their store did such a phenomenal job, top to bottom. Great selection of snacks and Best drinks selection in town with drinks and chips nobody else has. All dressed chips?! How come nobody told me?! I love it. I'll be doing all my shopping here now.

They have some great produce and sometimes the meat is great. Decent prices, but thanks to Trump’s Tariff’s, the prices are probably going up soon.

Fruit flies on produce and not just one bin. Debbie the self checkout clerk is incapable of managing the self checkout aisle. Always a problem with their computer system. When not using self checkout, you constantly have to follow a clerk to a new line, no drawer, light doesn’t work, etc far better places to shop than this place
