They always have cute stuff that is great quality despite their prices being absolutely crazy for a college town.
Their employees are the highlight and so helpful they also curate extra looks which I love.
My biggest qualms is their asinine return policy. 14 days is NOT an adequate amount of time especially if you are getting something as a gift. It feels lazy and a little bit like they are taking advantage of the younger demographic.
The last thing is the absolutely lack of sizing for plus sized (bigger than a 12), it’s so frustrating they charge what they do with no inclusive sizing.

What a great boutique to shop in. The girls that work there were super helpful, not pushy at all like the other stores I went in to. She handed me two different blazers and shirts that were right up my alley perfect fit perfect look great on me. These girls know exactly what they’re doing and they just couldn’t have been any friendlier. Not pushy and just could read me right off the bat and knew what I was looking for… I’m so excited that I found For Elise on Broadway in Chico because even if I don’t know what I’m looking for they know what would look great on me and price was spot on not over the top. Just excellent quality for an excellent price for something that was not on sale…. I guess I should show a picture so don’t judge me because this is just happening right now!!! FYI, I will be back in there every month because my hairdresser is right around the corner… The cute flannel had pockets on the side, which is a game changer for me!! The other shirt was on a sales rack and fit me like a T but for some reason, I cannot find it right now and show you what a great deal of a deal that I got for their $20 rack. Can’t wait to go in there next month. FYI, the shirt was off of a rack that was for $20!!

I will say that they have a beautiful selection and very sweet attendants. I've dropped a few thousand at this store over the years, but I likely won't do much shopping here again. I forgot how bad their Return Policy is. Honestly, it's just antiquated as you pretty much can't return anything except to only get store credit. Several times I've purchased something and experienced buyer's remorse. I realized I didn't like the style or the fit actually wasn't too flattering. The return policy puts you in a predicament to have to go shopping all over again. I recently bought a pair of black jeans --- very basic and over a hundred $. When I got home, I really didn't like the fit. I felt silly for having gotten them, but sadly, it seemed pointless to even bring them back. I had already tried quite a few of the black jeans and nothing was quite right. Now, I feel I just wasted the $100. I've been a customer for seventeen years. I don't come inside the store enough to warrant holding onto store credit. I shop here maybe 3 times a year. Holding onto store credit is frustrating, and makes me feel resentful.

Excellent customer service. I’m the type of person that just doesn’t know what to wear to weddings or whatever and I love that this store provides personal shopping and amazing feedback. I always end up with an amazing outfit and the quality of the clothing is so good I can wear these outfits for years. So if you shop alone, these gals got you and will make sure you look your very best! Can’t recommend this shop enough!

I can’t say enough good things about this shop! The girls that work there went above and beyond, they made my daughter feel like a princess. We called before drove down from Redding to see if they had semi-formal dresses for my daughter’s high school winter formal that is coming up. They said they did and asked what the theme was, I told her the theme and she said they had a big selection in stock ranging from $40-$100 depending on the detail of the dress. She then asked if we would like a room set up with dresses, and shoes all in my daughter’s size. When we got there the girls were all so welcoming and my daughter’s face lit up when she saw her name on the door and all these beautiful dresses inside. She began to try them on and was just so happy as she came out of the dressing room with each dress on. The ladies even had some new dresses just come in as we were there and had them steamed and brought out for her to try on. This experience was definitely worth the drive from Redding. I recommend this shop and will definitely be back.

I shop here pretty regularly for my wife and adult daughters and I always look forward to being helped by Kenzie, she's seriously awesome. She makes shopping there by far the best experience in a boutique/ retail store that I can recall. This girl deserves a big fat raise! Today we were in the store and after checking out, we walked 2 blocks to our car only to see Kenzie running down the sidewalk behind us because we left with the wrong size shirt! For Elyse is awesome, but is the best because of her. We'll be looking forward to our next visit!!

Beautiful dresses for evening dinners and other occasions. I would recommend getting your friends together and visiting here. I initially did not think I would buy anything because of my preference, however a burgundy dress caught my eye and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I do not like the not return policy, it should be made more clear.

Im absolutely OBSESSED with this store!!These girls make your day, not one time did I feel rushed or judged even after i tried on a bunch of jeans I just really wasn’t feeling. They gave me suggestions, asked what I liked and disliked and found me a PERFECT new outfit that I felt good in. The fitting room experience was amazing I had such a great time talking to them all I can’t remember there names but one was about 5ft 6 with blond hair, the other was taller with bangs and wavy hair. I came up to Chico alone to scout out Chico state where I’m attending this August and I was a little scared because I had never been to Chico before, but these girls made my whole day easier by making me feel comfortable and beautiful! They talked to me the whole time I was in the fitting room and it truly felt like I was out with friends. The following week I received a hand written card in the mail saying they all hoped I loved my new outfit. This was truly a unique experience and is now one of my favorite stores and I can’t wait to go back!
P.S I have seen multiple comments talking about the “ ridiculous return policy” , As someone who works in retail it’s ridiculous to trash a stores name for something a simple question could have fixed every single comment said “They did not inform me” so let me set this straight , first of all there is a sign at the cash wrap so read or get over it and second of all it’s on your damn receipt so read or get over it. Don’t blame someone else for a question you didn’t bother to ask.

They didn’t inform me that when you return an item you only get store credit back! I spent $100 as a college student and can now only use that money in this store! Absolutely ridiculous! The employees need to be informing the customers of the return policy when customers are purchasing items.

I have bought multiple things here and they are okay. I recently had gone in to buy shoes and a dress for my mom's wedding, after I bought them we went to the venue and I saw that they will not work. I went back to return them, they said it was non-returnable which was not averatized except in the very fine print which was extremely disappointing. They should not just expect a you to know this. They should tell you wjen you are buying. I now have shoes that will not function for the occasion and that I have no use for.

The best women's clothing boutique in downtown Chico. I love the clothes AND adore all the ladies who work and run this place.They have a wide range of options that can be dressed up or down or best suited for your personal style (which I did not have until now).Special shout-out to Erica! She has put together outfits I didn't know I needed, and had helped me select the right clothes for my body type and special event. But no matter who is in the shop, you will surely receive a warm welcome and top notch service and have lots of fun.On a side note, I feel compelled to write a disclaimer on their behalf. It really drives me crazy when people leave poor reviews due to return policies. Unfortunately, small boutiques like this one can't afford to to provide lengthy department store return options. Needless to say, at the time that I write this, it's a shame this business doesn't have 5 stars for the quality of their product and service. As humans, we tend to spend too much of our time and energy nitpicking and not taking responsibility for ourselves (like reading or asking about exchange policies). My hope is that more people will take a couple minutes of their day to drop a glowing review when they have a positive experience at a local shop who deserves more business (like this one) than only coming out of the woodwork on a bad day. Feedback is only useful when the advice is realistic and focused on what can be changed.
