Dr. Troxell made saying "goodbye" to a beloved pet as easy as possible. She is a compassionate and caring person and a true blessing to pet parents in Butte County.

Dr. Troxell is so gentle, kind and compassionate. She has helped me let go of several pets and has made each time so much better than it could have been. She also helps with ailing pets and fully explains possible options. She recently helped me with my cat Duncan and was so gentle and calming. Thank you, Dr. Troxell, you are greatly appreciated.

Absolutely heartbroken I had to say goodbye to my Layla love who had been my best friend for 13 years. She was everything to me and I was not prepared at all to let her go. Dr. Troxell and her assistant Anna helped me so much, just by being calm and compassionate towards layla, talking gently and letting her know she wouldn't be in any pain anymore. My layla absolutely hated going to the vet and allowing her to go gracefully at home, calm and in her favorite window, on her blankey in my arms was the only comfort I could find. There's nothing easy about saying goodbye but Dr. Troxell helped so much. Thank you for honoring my fur baby and letting her go with dignity and grace.

Huge thanks to Dr. Troxell for the care and compassion she showed when it was time to let my Lily go. Lily hated riding in cars and she really hated going to the vet so having the option of the vet coming to her and letting her pass peacefully in her own bed was wonderful.

Today was the hardest day of our lives, had to say goodbye to our favorite and most loved dog ever. Chubbs was an 11 yr old diabetic dog. Yesterday he vomited twice and only ate half his dinner which was not like him. When he had been sick before he had always bounced back. This morning he refused his food and layed down in the field, weak and not wanting to move. We eventually coaxed him in and he layed with us on the couch. After a couple hours he went outside again, did his business and wandered the field then layed on the grass. This was not like him, he always came right back in. When he finally did come in I had to help him up the steps, again not like him. He got inside, took a sip of water, layed down for a minute, got up and drank a little more, then tried a few spots before laying on the tile. After that he did not want to move. I called Keira and she came right out. She examined him and gave us options. Either take him to an emergency vet for tests or euthanize but she told us she felt he was in a lot of pain and described everything she saw and heard lending to that and she also felt like he may even have cancer. His belly was bloated with fluid and was tender. His heart was going fast. As it was my husbands dog I let him decide and he felt it was his time and had been for some time. Chubbs had been getting somewhat weaker over time and he was very good at hiding pain but he had been dealing with nausea for months. Keira was very compassionate and kind. She didn’t rush us at all. She sat with our dog and stroked him while we paced and cried. After we made the decision, she gave him morphine and Valium to make him comfortable. She waited a long time for him to relax and get good and sleepy. She waited until he didn’t respond before giving the euthanasia medication. While we had waited and pet him and sat with him, she explained why we made a good decision for him, that this was the best option for the amount of pain he was in, that we were being kind. She gave us lots of comfort and stayed with our baby petting him the whole time even in the moments we had to step back and cry. He was able to pass in our home in a familiar place with all of us. We had as much time as we needed after. She even gave us tips for our other dogs to grieve by letting them come around chubbs after he was gone so they could know and process too. I am so thankful she was able to help us through an incredibly difficult day. She was so caring and gentle and it’s clear she has a lot of compassion and love for animals. I don’t know how she does it but God bless her for being there when doggy parents need her most. Her price was incredibly reasonable for in home and it made it very accessible to give our baby the most comfortable passing possible. ❤️

Spectacular bedside manner. Met us in Concow area for euthanasia of our elderly dog that was very sick and dying of cancer. She made the whole experience very pleasant event though we were losing one of our family members. A great person to have by your side during such a hard time.

Today we said goodbye to Angus with the kind and compassionate help from Dr. Keira Troxell. Angus was a part of our family for almost 15 years. After a long illness it was time to ease his suffering and give him an end with dignity. I'm forever grateful for Dr. Troxell. She came to our home and cared for Angus and made sure his passing was easy and peaceful. Dr. Troxell also cared for us by making such a hard time beautiful.

It was time to say goodbye to a much beloved 14 year old doggy today. Dr Troxell was recommended by my regular vet as I preferred to have it done at home. I can tell this lady has a special connection with the animals she’s cares for. Of course this experience could never be easy, but she made it so peaceful and serene
