It is hard to find a trustworthy mechanic. Prior to finding Mike's we went through five others. Mike's Automotive is very consistent with their work and you can count on getting factual and accurate information to know what work really needs to be done. I went in to this shop because of the positive reviews. I explained I have been having problems with a part that I kept replacing over and over so I wanted for them to fix it. Instead I got judged and talked down to, and was given an appointment I called to confirm then that’s when she canceled (but I called she didn’t attempt to contact me) I don’t think the lady behind the counter was like able or professional.

I can't say enough good things about this place. I've been all over Chico looking for a reliable mechanic. I used to take my vehicles to A&E Automotive, and they did okay work. If you want amazing work and to have the problem fixed at a great price with complete honesty and transparency, go to Mike's Automotive! I went there because I had a leaking fuel line. I was quoted at other shops at unreasonably high prices. I had never been to this place. My aunt went there when her truck wouldn't start and she was stuck in Chico. They were incredibly kind and honest with her. So, when my truck started leaking diesel fuel, my mom and aunt both recommended Mike's. It's worth mentioning that the work they did was done back in April. This review is being posted in June because I wanted to make sure that the work would hold up, and it has. The prices and service was so great, I had them fix my rear fuel tank, change the oil, and do a tune up. All of this was still less than $1,000.00 and was amazing quality. This place literally saved me more than $1,500.00 and I can't thank them enough. This place is not very well known but it needs to be. Big chains may have history and reputation on their side, but you'll end up regretting the cost, quality of work, the lack of honesty, the time wasted if the job isn't done right the first time, and the really impersonal people that see you as another dollar sign. If I ever have problems with my truck that I can't fix, I'm going to MIKE'S AUTOMOTIVE!

He goes above and beyond to help out, fair and honest.. there is a reason he has been around and in business for so long in the Chico area... If you want up an up go to Mike.. u want bs go to the other guys, there are plenty of those in chico too
