I enjoy shopping at safeway because its always bright and clean and the fresh produce is wonderful . The greens are always vibrant looking , i dont find rotten strawberrys in the little containers too often... and those long sourdough breads found in the bakery fresh every day are one of my favorites...

Very clean store in a safe area of town. They have a good selection of anything you may need. Giovanni in the bakery department is an amazing very helpful young man.

It's Safeway. It's expensive but clean, nice, staff is great and their produce is top tier.

When I picked up my groceries from Safeway and was asked if I wanted to donate to research for breast cancer, I said no, and my mom died of breast cancer when I was nine-years-old in 1990.
I am tired of being asked to give money to researchers and charities who squander the money and produce zero results. They may as well be politicians.
40,000 women die of breast cancer every year. 40,000 X 34-years = 1,360,000 women have died of breast cancer since 1990. What are researchers doing with all those donations?
Also, I have not been able to log-in to Safeway's website for about two weeks, and their customer service and tech people keep telling me they are escalating it and working on it.
Two weeks later, I still cannot log-in to the website.

Ward the manager stated too his employees rite in front of me that they could not use the restroom unless on a 10 minute break I'm pretty sure that's against California state law.

One of the most frustrating places to work. Management is a joke and very incompetent. Hiring manager/second (Mike Defreitas) gambles on the clock regularly and uses bad language which I find very unprofessional. The store director (Gina Champion) has numerous union investigations and talks to all of her subordinates like they are sub human. Let’s also look at the fact that the store always has a union rep inside it probing at these problems. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND WORKING HERE.

This place is highly overpriced. I bought grocery there. Cost me $290 next time I went shopping. I tried grocery outlet over by trader. Joe's and only paid a $169 for the same exact stuff. I believe safeway is price gouging although, the outside of grocery outlet looks bad. The inside was way cleaner than safe way I found this very surprising
