“My daughter went to this school and we had a wonderful experience there. It was well run and had an excellent staff. The kids exercise every day, do arts & crafts, math etc., and walk to the Nature Center (practically across the street). They’ll bring in special guests, like a goat or a pig. The only thing I’d mention is that they’re a little expensive, but you get what you pay for!I honestly have no idea why anyone would rate it less than 5 stars, unless they have a grudge? I highly recommend this place.”

“I worked here for a few years, and only left due to moving out of the area in early 2019.Smart Start allowed me the experience of running my own classroom and is the reason that I am pursuing a BA in Liberal Studies in order to become an elementary teacher. I only periodically helped in the toddler and preschool classrooms, as my classroom was the Bookworms - the school-aged kids.I adored it here (you could often find me here on my days off). I developed relationships with the students and their families, learned to communicate effectively, and developed the knowledge of running a classroom while working with co-teachers and under management.The children within the school-aged room thrived, and I had the support needed from Julie, Ann, and Shelly to make that happen. They were consistently on top of everything, and their support is what enabled me to run my classroom. The few years that I spent employed at Smart Start propelled me into my career, and I'm endlessly thankful for the opportunity to fall in love with working in the educational field.”

“Ms. Peggy is the best! She has been running this place for 30 years and knows what she is doing. My son struggled at other schools but immediately fit in here. Within a week I was astounded to find my wild child gently patting her arm and waiting for his turn to speak to her. She has a huge home and good part of it is devoted to the kids. The backyard is giant with plenty to keep them busy.”

“I just want to share being a first time mom Laurs preschool has really helped me transitioned into being able to leave her at daycare . I had so many worries ! But they helped me out tremendously keeping in touch with me threw out the day on her ! Sending me photos of her ! Witch has helped me a lot ! I enjoy all the teachers and helpers ! They are so helpful when I ask for advice never had an issue with them I trust them tremendously! I would highly recommend them :)”

“This reviewIs long overdue, but I cannot overstate the progress that my toddlers have made here at Little Treasures. My daughter was 2 years old when she started but very behind with speech due to isolation from the lockdowns/mandates. This Preschool has performed wonders as she is now talking up a storm and singing her heart out with all the adorable songs they learn. She even teaches them to her baby brother at home! It is literally the most heart-warming experience to see my babies suddenly singing in unison.Aside from education (she can count to 30 now), she has developed super close friendships here and social skills at such a young age!My baby boy was 10 months old when he started. I felt completely secure with him at Little Treasures right away, as the child care is top-notch. I do not exaggerate when I say these teachers are truly loving and genuine, not to mention experienced. Every single one of them. Miss Michelle really knows how to find the good ones. Also, Director and Teachers alike have impeccable memory and organization. That's big for me since I'm very detail-oriented! It's been wonderful being able to depend on this daycare/Preschool. P.S. I watched as Miss Michelle put her heart and soul into this new location, perfectly planning all the different stations that intertwine learning with play. Also, the outdoor playground is akin to an amusement park as my daughter is always begging to stay. You know it's a good sign when your children race to put their own shoes on, ready to go to Preschool! Thank you Little Treasures for being such a special place in our children's lives”

“My son had an amazing experience at Storybook. He was a student there from 2021-2023. The staff are loving, compassionate, kind and caring. They are very knowledgeable in early childhood development. They followed California preschool learning foundations. My child was ready for T-K and is ahead of the rest. I am very appreciative of Storybook. We would recommend Storybook to all.”

“Denise has made a lovely home with beautiful architecture into the most heart warming daycare center. This place is beyond amazing, and I am so happy to have such great care given to my children while my husband and I are working. Its a clean, cozy, and welcoming environment for learning and having fun for the most special little people in our lives! To just throw it over the top, theres a covered patio area giving the kids room to play without having to be 100% exposed to the extreme weather we experience in Chico, and the outside play area gives them so much room to run around and have a good time.Denise has selected the sweetest staff who seem like they honestly love what they do and value their time spent with the kids. As someone who constantly seems to have a concern about something, I have zero about Enchanted Play and the quality of care given to the kids here. We currently have an 11 month old and a 3 year old enrolled here, and we are beyond happy!”
