“Chico Car Care is my new top mechanic for my Toyota Prius. The first time I stopped by, on a friend's recommendation, was to have them help me with tire issues, and the owner quickly assessed that I had worn one of them down to the wires. He said he could fix it, but also said it was just as easy to take to my favorite tire shop if I preferred. I had bought the tires at Les Schwab so that's what my cheapest alternative was. But the fact that they were willing to pass up business to get me assistance sooner than later impressed me that I could probably trust them with my next repair needs. Recently I had some minor repairs which included a headlamp out and a maintenance light on, and it had been 6,000 miles since my last tune-up. Dan assisted me and they were not only very polite and professional to communicate with, but they were prompt with my service (next day), paid for my Uber ride back to my house, and sent me a text with the recommended repairs which included photos of my parts needing repair as well as videos to help me understand the parts use in my car. My overall experience was awesome! I highly recommend them as honest and professional mechanics in Chico. Thanks Chico Car Care!”

“I was having an issue with my 2001 Toyota Tacoma. The stick shift kept popping out of third gear. I was nervous that it was going to be a very costly issue, but I was hopeful it was a cheaper fix involving just the stick shift.There is also always the question of trust when it comes to auto repairs because, I like most people, know very little about the vehicle that I depend on.Transamatic does a general free-inspection that involves them driving your vehicle and maybe some visual inspection. If they have to take stuff apart (your transmission), then it costs money for labor etc.It turned out to be a simpler and cheaper fix involving a part for my stick shift that they were able to detect from just driving.I will definitely bring my vehicle back here if I have issues with my transmission in the future.Service: Transmission”

“I have been going to J&J for many years now. It's a small shop with just one mechanic. It's nice to only talk to the person who is actually working on my car. He is a straight to the point kinda guy which is exactly what I look for in a mechanic. I was way past need of my last oil change with a long drive scheduled in a couple day.... I called him frantic and he squeezed me in, that's customer service. My tires were off balance so he referred me to a tire place for an alignment and ensured me that I don't need to tires but they might try to sell me them. I absolutely appreciated that advice.”
