I don't think they have any idea what they were doing. I called around to a few pharmacies for my medication. I decided to go with Rite Aid after they ran the insurance and quoted me $103 for 120 tablets. Now only to get a call a week and a half later that it would be $200+ for 40 tablets. When I asked why, his only response was that the girl I talked to before "didn't know". Wasted my time and now 2 weeks without my medication. Save your time and go to somewhere much cleaner that knows what they are doing.

I wish there were zero stars. One seems high. I honestly cannot even begin to tell all the atrocities I've been through with Rite Aid in 10 short months of needing prescriptions. I will say, however, that if your open until 8pm, that is not 7:57pm. People need their refills for life impacting medications. I was only at this store because they were out of my scrip at Mangrove AND Mangrove had accidentally filled the wrong medication the week before, causing this whole nightmare. The two young girls in the pharmacy were the MOST INMATURE people I have ever come across. They treated me as insignificant and acted like they were in middle school. I couldn't even find words. There is no fix for what they have. Disrespect and arrogance. I've owned my own retail business for 28 years and have 12 employees. Rite Aid--Wake up!!! Those girls have no right dealing with your customers. I hope someone who knows right and wrong will watch the video of my visit on 10/24. I will never set foot in a Rite Aid again. I mean that. Enough is enough. We have to right the wrongs in this society with our pocketbooks!!!

A lady named Julie in the pharmacy is the rudest and meanest employee in the whole store. She was rude and inconsiderate over the phone and in person. Very condescending and belittling. She acts bothered like you're wasting HER time just picking up meds. Also very bossy. She ruins the whole experience of going to this pharmacy.

I had been going to this Rite Aid for months, usually on a Friday or Saturday to pick up a 12 pack of Miller, which usually was on sale at a pretty good price. Every time I would come with my bike which is clean, never tracked anything in, etc., and parked it by their ice cream section because they don't have a bike rack. It was never an issue until today, 09/04/21, when I as informed that it was could be a tripping hazard, which I still don't understand. I was always in and out within 10 minutes unless they had more than two customers, which usually then dragged out the Rite Aid experience for another 10 to 15 minutes. They could have at least let me do this one more time while was I there, but they were adamant about it. Their only virtue for me was being close by where I live. I will be hard-pressed to go their ever again. Selection and pricing usually was poor anyway, but it was just the attitude of the clerk that was the icing on the cake. Heaven forbid I come in with a clean bike and park for 10 minutes, but any POS transient stinking to high heaven can camp outside or roam around shoplifting to his or her heart's content.

Extremely slow in filling prescriptions. Absolutely no help in reducing your drug pricing. I was charged $60 for a common antibiotic and could have purchased at Walmart for $20.

I have been going to the Rite-Aid pharmacy on East Ave, Chico for almost 20 years and used to receive fantastic service UNTIL new management started sometime in 2019. On three occasions, either due to bad management, poor customer service, and a general lack of concern, I have had problems obtaining my medication. As anyone on medication knows, it is not medically advisable to stop or miss taking any of your meds. unless advised by a doctor. Stopping some medications can cause serious problems that could put the patient into the hospital. I have had some pharmacy employees in years past at Rite-Aid, go out of their way to help with medication issues but the current management seems to have a SERIOUS lack of concern for their customers.

What you think about this East Avenue Rite-Aid depends on what you want in a drug store / pharmacy. If you want a bright, shiny place with 10 different brands of everything then this Rite-Aid is not the place for you. The store has been around for many decades and certainly could use a coat of paint and a newly, tiled floor. It could also use some newer shelving and a more modern look. On the other hand, if you're looking for a store that has all the necessities and a very good pharmacy then this might be the place for you. The employees are friendly and helpful, The shelves are generally well-stocked and the prices are good, but not great. The pharmacy is very professional and helpful. They have your prescriptions done on time and they are open late so you can wait until after work to pick up your stuff. There is plenty of parking and their ice cream counter is the best deal in town. Three scoops for under $4.00 is fantastic. This also my go to store for holiday needs. They have good prices on Easter products, Halloween candy and costumes and basic Christmas decorations. I do have to mention the shopping carts. They are the worst thing about this Rite-Aid. They are very small and very raggedy looking. Even worse is that you can't take them out of the store. Pretty ridiculous if you have a lot of bags. They need to upgrade that situation right away because its pretty pathetic.

i purchased 80 dollars worth of lice products...found out i didnt have lice(thank god)..so 2 hrs later wanted to return unopened produts. The same cashier who had rang me up was still there but told me i needed my receipt to receive full refund ....only she hadnt given me my receipt only their stupid coupons...i know this because everything was still in the bag un touched. I asked to see a manager and he said the same thing ...only willing to refund half my money. Beware of this stores policy...they have no common sense. I was so angry..i mean the same cashier is standing right there...she remembered me and even said she must of torn my receipt up. I will never set foot in another rite aid...rip offs

I've been a Rite Aide pharmacy customer at this location for 12 years. I always receive excellent service and prompt prescription refills. The pharmacists and support staff answer questions about prescriptions both in person and over the phone. I'm very happy being a Rite Aide customer.

Went to Rite Aid on East Ave this afternoon to get some beer for me and some cosmetic items for my wife, and maybe some seasonal items ... when we parked I noticed a red Save Mart cart outside, which I "drove " inside and proceeded to use the wipes provided to wipe down the handle and sides as I always do ... a young man, "Jimmy," ran up and assertively told me I couldn't use the cart as it wasn't a Rite Aid cart ... now, I've done this before when I could find a Save Mart or other cart outside, and no other manager ever called me out on it - a cart for shopping is just that, a cart for shopping ... the Rite Aid carts, besides being small and hard-pressed to hold many items if you're are really shopping (re won't hold much beer), have extension rods which prevent them from going through the doors - a theft-preventive device meant to make it harder for homeless people removing them I was told ... perhaps so, but said extension also makes it difficult for some with many items to bring items from the cart to the car, ergo the reason for using the Save Mart cart ... well Jimmy was using his "big fish in a small pond" managerial powers to tell me that he wouldn't allow me to use the cart, probably a "small man syndrome" side effect of being the manager that afternoon ... we left there and went to Walgreens further down East Ave, which conveniently had a Trader Joe's cart outside ... we bought over $80 in beer, about $50 or so in cosmetics, and a few other items without a problem ... no one told me I couldn't use the Trader Joe's cart, and we bought almost $200 in product ... as a side note, my insurance company recently sent me a notice that Safeway would no longer be a preferred provider and we should consider looking for another ... we were thinking Rite Aid, as they have an eye medication that Safeway doesn't, but no longer ... thank you, Jimmy, for helping us make that decision ... I was a manager at a restaurant for many years, and, despite the saying that the customer isn't always right, you sometimes you have to defer to diplomacy ... a cart is a cart, but if you're going to cost your company profits with your trumped-up managerial super-powers, perhaps you should let the little things slide ...
