Such a small but comforting place. Had to visit because my puppy ate a grape. They are appointment only and helped us out. I was concerned as how my puppy would act but he loved the vet and got comfortable quickly. We got blood tests, medication, even special food all at the location. Definitely making this our puppy's Vet.

Great experience w/Dr. Chaudry. Took his time examining my fur baby and used common sense to diagnose problem. Offered various options for treatment that would fit my budget. Definitely recommend this office if you're in need of a local veterinarian.

We had to find a new vet that would take our dog who was in pain, with the current Omicron surge it makes it difficult to get into anywhere. They took us in after a single call for an emergency, ensured our dog immediately taken care of and accurately diagnosed sending us on our way in the matter of just a couple hours. The staff was respectful and straight forward the entire time.

Been taking my 14 year old dog here since she was a puppy and have never been disappointed! They treat our 4 cats, dog, and now my new puppy. I can always trust the staff and knowledgeable vets to take care of my babies!

I was a little worried about taking my puppy to this vet because of the reviews but really didn't like our current vet that kept on pushing for 4 DAPs and all these extra unnecessary tests. I was so happy we came. The receptionist at the front desk was so sweet and helpful and the veterinarian was extremely thorough and detailed with his exam and answered all my questions. I'm thankful I gave this place a chance.

The receptionists at Payne Ranch Vet Clinic are rude, won't listen to you, and will cut you off in the middle of your sentences constantly. And the vets themselves are more polite, but defend their awful reception staff to the end, even as their staff runs their business into the ground with their attitude. There are plenty of other reviews saying similar, but this clinic seems immune to addressing the problem. They operate as if they're your boss. I love my dogs, and I spend over $300 a month on meds to keep my most elderly dog alive. A couple weeks ago, I called this vet regarding an aural hematoma on that dog's ear, and the receptionist told me the vet would put my elderly dog under general anesthesia to fix it. I asked if there was any way around it, and she said no. That treatment would be putting my elderly dog's life at risk for a non-life-threatening problem. I got a similar answer from other local vets, so I was *forced* to take the issue into my own hands and lance it myself, then install a cow-teat cannula in the hole so it would drain. When it seemed like it might be getting infected, I called the vet again and left a message for Dr Joan Hamaguchi to call me back. She didn't call me back. Two days later, I called back. When I finally got her on the phone, she criticized me for "practicing veterinary medicine" and accused me of being cruel to the dog who sleeps in my bed and whom I spend $300/month to keep comfortable. When I pointed out that her awful receptionist also didn't have a license to practice veterinary medicine but still told me my dog--which she hadn't even seen--would need general anesthesia, Dr Hamaguchi just changed the subject back to me again. Then she called the next day and said she'd refuse to see my dogs from this point forward because I "practiced veterinary medicine". Truly an awful veterinary clinic. Only take your pets to Payne Ranch Vet Clinic if you want to be treated like crap by the staff and have your pets' welfare put behind the veterinarians' loyalty to truly awful receptionists.

Receptionist at the front desk is rude and unhelpful. I called following my dog's surgery to ask for advice for his medicine administration. The receptionist did not provide any helpful information and seemed exasperated and in a rush to hang up. I called a few months later to book another appointment and the same receptionist said they couldn't help and to go somewhere else. It was a common anal gland issue for dogs. I'm very disappointed in their customer service.

I was very pleased with our visit! I've been to several of the chino hills vets and haven't found someone I truly liked all around. They fit me in the day after I called for an appointment which was great! We arrived and the COVID style intake went smoothly, my dog was in and out within a matter of 10 minutes or so. The lady that greeted us at the door was very professional and kind. Best part about our visit was that they honored their check in discount, so I got half off my first visit AND they didn't try to sell me anything or recommend any unnecessary procedures just to get $$ out of us. I was so worried that the bump on my dogs leg was going to be cancerous and when I spoke to the vet over the phone, he reassured me that it was just a fatty lump and nothing needed to be done unless I wanted to have it removed! Good news!! I found my new vet. I recommend them highly!

We just got a new puppy and as soon as we brought him home the little guy got diarrhea and started vomiting. This persisted all night. We bought him through an ad on Craigslist, so we were afraid he might've been sick and the owner didn't tell us. We made an appointment first thing in the morning to get checked out. As new doggie parents we were greatly concerned. They accepted us fairly quickly, which was great. As soon as we got there the nurse/assistant started questioning us about our pup and came off a little cold. She started going over treatments but we were concerned about parvo and a bit confused as to why they wouldn't test the dog first before treating. She insisted harshly that it didn't matter, the dog was sick and needed to be treated either way (which we were obviously there to do). Then she said implied "Or are you just going to give him back because he's sick". The stress of being up all night worried about our new guy and the way we were so rudely spoken to at our first vet visit was traumatizing. We of course let them treat our pup with nausea and diarrhea meds. But, for any other doggie parents, I would not recommend coming here to avoid having an experience like ours. Hopefully this helps out future new doggy parents like ourselves.

Dr. Hamaguchi is a wonderful veterinarian. I came to see her from Norco because we are moving to Hawaii, and there are many steps that must be taken before a dog is allowed into that state. One of those steps is a rabies titer (which then is sent to a lab in Kansas) and Dr. Hamaguchi is one of a few vets in California that is USDA certified to do this process. The staff is so friendly and helpful, they go above and beyond to help, and the prices are very reasonable. Dr. Hamaguchi is personable, skilled and never tries to up-sale you on any procedure or product your pet does not need. I would have made her my regular vet if I had known about her sooner. I would highly recommend Dr. Hamaguchi (Dr. Joan) to anyone looking for a veterinarian they can trust.

I am never going to this place again, I came in for my puppy to get a Parvo shot and after sitting in the lobby for over 30 min just to be told they don't carry a single Parvo shot and to make it worse the vet was so rude and tried telling me that my dog had cherry eye, in a way like I didn't know. He was like btw.... but little did he know I already knew that and had his surgery set up. Left very unhappy and felt disrespected.
