I love the stylist at this location very friendly and knowledgeable. I always leave here feeling gorgeous because my hair color is on point. Since I've been coming here my hair has a beautiful shine, luster and volume. I highly recommend Madison Reed products and services.

Called and explained I wanted low lights and all over black. I explained I had already dyed and bleached it. Walked it and was asked to re-explain which I did. The lady I spoke to said no she can't to a color correction which is not what needed to be done. I walked out went somewhere else. Customer service here sucks, very rude . Highly recommend to NOT go here.

I have to say I was a little disappointed with my experience here. Before I get into it, let me say that the staff are friendly and the overall atmosphere is nice. However, if you are looking for professional hair coloring - this is not the place to go. I went into the salon asking for a neutral light brown (stylist used a 7N) and left with a coppery-auburn that I'm now left scrambling trying to tone at home to get the reds out. I am used to a more intimate salon experience, where the stylist sticks with you during your appointment and will typically strike up a conversation or something, but that is not the case here. There were at one point 8 clients in the room with only three stylists -- who were struggling to get things done. I was left with the color on my hair for an hour while one of the stylists was doing a 45-minute-long blow dry. I am no stranger to using chemicals, but by the time the stylists remembered me and brought me to rinse my scalp was on FIRE! Two of the stylists had a conversation in front of me scrambling to fir people in, and complaining about how long certain services take - which was simply unprofessional. My presence (and money!) started to feel like more of an inconvenience to the girls working there. At the end of the service, I am sure my disappointment was obvious. One of the stylists offered to sell me a $30 color creme to tone the reds out of my "neutral brown". As predicted, I used the color creme and saw absolutely zero change. I wanted to come to this salon to save money and get a nice color service, but I will end up spending more trying to fix what's been done to it now. Should've saved the time and money and gone to a real salon in the first place.

My mother and I have been coming Herr for the past 9 months. I held off posting so I could report the color management throughout these months. The staff has been great. Niccy has been extremely patient with my mom, who always wants to change her hair color from almost platinum to a blonde ash. Anyhow, the results are great. Their subscription plan is highly competitive, and there is no way another salon will charge you the same price for touch ups! If you are looking for natural colors, give them a try. In my experience, they achieve nice color and shine. Every week or other week, a touch-up is included with the subscription we signed up for. The extras like blow dry and gloss are well priced.

Everything nice and helpful until the highlights you asked for never showed up , instead I got an orang-ish color ...Terrible results, will never go back again . I thought going here would be the best option , I was wrong .

The interior is extremely clean, neat, and just modern enough. I've had different people do my roots and have been happy with it. The hair wash is very relaxing.

My hair grows fast so I need a lot of root coverage. It was getting too expensive for me to go into the salons that I usually frequent so I signed up for their membership. I think their product is better than box dye, but not as good as salon-grade stuff so I made a conscious decision to take the middle road. The salon is always really clean and they give you the option of drying and styling your hair yourself if you need to save more money and they give you the supplies to do so. If you have the membership you get discounted services like blow-outs, hair masks, and styling so it's nice to have options. One con is they don't have a receptionist because appointments are made online. You can also walk-in, but then a stylist has to help you so if they're not busy it's fine, but many times they will be with a client so either the client or walk-in has to wait. This isn't that big a deal for me, but twice I had to call the salon directly to ask about an appointment and once because I left a personal item there and both times I had been on the phone for 10-20 minutes trying to get through. Calls are directed to a call center, and then the call center agent will call the salon. You can't speak directly to the salon so this can be frustrating in some scenarios. Otherwise, you should be able to do everything else online so that could be a bonus to some. The salon is in the middle of the Shoppes at Chino Hills so there are plenty of places to eat, drink, and shop - all within walking distance.

It's very strange how you guys say you're going to reach out and never do. this place is full of complete, unprofessional's and lost another client, will never be coming back here again I do Not recommend please save your money and time. It's better to invest your money into a well rounded cosmetologist, who can offer more and actually give you your moneys worth because this place is absolutely worthless , complete waste of time .They keep completely terrible employees who have no respect for anyone.

So I get a canned response from Madison Reed on how horrible the manager was at the Chino Hills store asking for my email address which I sent and Now crickets. If I didn't like the color so much I would be shopping for a different brand. The representation by the staff and management is horrible.

I haven’t had my hair professionally colored since the pandemic. I’ve been using Madison Reed since then and it was nice to have it done for me. Ronnie and Alyssa were fabulous! Make sure you ask for them when you schedule your appt!

Ernie is awesome & a delightHe retouched my roots (warm brown). Then he did a blowout straight style. I'm so happy with my service, and can't wait to go back again. The reason for 4 stars is, I really think they need a part time receptionist. Stylist keep getting interrupted. Walk-ins keep coming in asking questions and Stylist are working on their customers. Other than that a wonderful experience.

My daughter wrote a review about the horrible experience I had at this salon. As a member I had gone there over the past year and was prior to their opening at Brea. I went for my routine roots appointment. Asked to go lighter on my hair, showed pictures. I ended up with jet black hair with red rotted (hot roots ) later told. I asked him to fix he said it will lighten up aren't you going to hawaii? Jump in the pool. I was mortified and called there 800 number to ask what to do. I was then sent to a text conversation. Needless say went back to Brea to fix hair which they tried and no end to fix and couldn't because they don't have the product capability. I was leaving next day so I had to re color the roots myself because no one seemed to know how at the salon. 3 weeks later my hair still smells, still black and hair condition is horrific. Keep speaking with customer service only to get run around. I will being going to a full service salon next week to have hair striped and re colored.
