September 2020 by Rudy R.
I went with my mother twice to this store this month of September 2020 , the first time I went to this store I was so excited to be at Spirit Halloween I usually well go to the one in Fontana next too chuck a cheese but the store wasn't there anymore so I was sad about that , my mother and I decided to go to the one at chino located at 12125 Central Ave, Chino, CA 91710 . That store is nearby my family's house once we walked into the store we saw the horror mechanical dolls which was awesome, they did have a lot of good merchandise there which I liked and I spent almost $200 worth of merchandise. The only thing I was not Satisfied with was the customer service there ! At first the two employees there were friendly to us but My mother and I noticed that the young gentleman employee that was working on the floor, Kept following my mom and I around the store which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome , I don't know if it was a racial thing because there were other Caucasians customers there and my mother and I of course were the only Hispanics there . I know there are a lot of Hispanics that live in chino hills including my family and any person of color ,so I'm confused on why would the employees conduct themselves in that manner. We felt we were being racially profiled and making it seem like we were going to "steal " at there store which I found this funny because I wasted almost $200 there and I saw the employees facial expression they looked shocked that my mom and I have money ! I also realized the employees there weren't following the other customers around which are Caucasians. The employees only had an eye out for my mother who is disabled and myself. The second time I went there to return a shirt the employee's working that day , didn't have really good Customer service the two cashiers look like they recent being there that day and made it so awkward for my mom and I when returning our items we bought and we wanted to look around in the store to see what else we could buy , so I went to the section where they had the pumpkin T-shirts to see if I could get another size of the same shirt and yet again the cashiers kept looking at me making it obvious . FYI if you're going to observe people to see if they're stealing why won't they just like at the cameras instead of just Staring straight at the person making them feel uncomfortable and unwanted there and that proves my point . Why weren't they Following the other customers around instead of just focusing on my mom and I. This store needs to get their retraining for Customer service and especially get educated on racial profiling I'm pretty sure they teach that during any job orientation ! Thank you !
