Timing: Friday night, 8 pm.Wait: 5 mins .Staffing: we felt they are a bit understaff because we saw a bunch of finished dishes that were not clean up. But they did a fair job hustling.Foods: broth was nothing special. We share Tonkotsu and Spicy Tonkotsu. Veggies are fresh.A bit pricey. Inflation all hitting us hard.

We waited for at least 10 minutes in the restaurant with half of the seats available. Is that so hard to give us a table to sit first? Left and won’t come again for this service.

The service was great but it was obvious that it was because of them being out of menu items or not having what they advertised. It’s disappointing because drove 50 miles to try it out. The food wasn’t worth the price definitely broth shabu shabu level but prices higher and most items are out.

Shabu Wara is hands down, the BEST Japanese shabu shabu option in the Chino Hills area. We've been a couple times now and recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a high quality shabu experience! The service is amazing as well - the owner Arnold is super nice and the main guy at the counter Dayton is our new best friend. :POn Tuesdays and Sundays, Shabu Wara offers an ALL YOU CAN EAT experience, if you choose to avail. They have a standard a la carte menu too. On our most recent visit, we went for the AYCE. There were 3 options - Basic ($69pp), Deluxe ($89pp), or Premium ($109pp). Take a look at the photos of each of the menus so you can see the differences between the 3 options. The deluxe and premium have the Japanese A5 Wagyu Chuck Eye Steak, which is the appeal for those higher end options. We went with the Deluxe option this time and were not disappointed. Here's a breakdown of what we tried:- Japanese A5 Wagyu Brisket- Japanese A5 Wagyu Chuck Eye Steak- Full Blood MB9+ Australian Wagyu Brisket- Full Blood MB9+ Australian Wagyu Chuck Eye Steak- American Wagyu Karubi- Seafood platter (tiger shrimp, scallops, salmon, mussels)Of these items, of course we loved the Japanese A5 options which just melted in our mouths, but our personal favorite was the Australian Wagyu Brisket! In fact, we'd probably come back just for that one. It's not as fatty as the Japanese A5 options. There's plenty of parking where Shabu Wara is. We heard it gets super busy on weekends so maybe swing by for dinner on a weeknight. We've never had a wait and you can be right up in the bar area! Highly highly recommend!Parking: Plenty of parking lot spaces

Not the best hotpot I've tried. Definitely could use some help, especially since the price was a bit expensive but the overall flavor is decent. Since it's Al Carte, you just choose what meat you want and what soup base you want as well. I got SukiYaki and the soup at first was okay, it could've better a lot deeper in flavor. The meat was not the best quality but it was still good. We got the Beef Toro and the Beef Short Rib but the Beef Toro was definitely the better out of the two due to the fattiness. The udon is definitely a better choice than rice however it does cost extra. Which I didn't like.If you sit at the bar, you CANNOT control your own stove, which we did not like at all. We would have to constantly ask the servers and they also told us there's a few that didn't work or are slower since they are older. Besides that, the service was good.Personally, I wouldn't go back myself since I know better hotpot spots but it was worth a try.

Came here on a Saturday night for dinner for a party of 2. We were told only the bar was available. I asked if we can sit at the table with thr 4 seats but was advised it is only available for larger parties. While I understand them thinking in advance for potential large crowds, I still find it a little weird. Like how hard is it to just accommodate considering these was no wait? We sat at the bar and ordered the the Spicy Garlic Endamame, Chicken Karaage, and Seared Salmon Roll for appetizers. For the soup base/meat we ordered the Kombu and the spicy tonkotsu. For the meats we ordered the chuck prime which was what one of the waiters recommended to us. Spicy Garlic endamame - 5/5Chicken Karaage - a little dry and overlooked. 2/5Seared Salmon Roll - the rice to fish ratio was off. Way too much rice. 3/5Kombu - this is just a water base soup with some seaweed, but when you put the meat and the vegetables in there it comes quite flavorful. 3.5/5Spicy tonkotsu - this broth was delicious. It wasn't too salty and just the right amount of savory. 4/5The chuck prime - the meat came out tender and not too much fat. 4/5Overall the food was okay . Most of the staffs were friendly enough.

I was very shocked that a restaurant serves ayce A5 wagyu! It was so delicious, soft, and tender. I loved the richness of the A5 Wagyu Brisket, it was my favorite! It paired perfectly with my sukiyaki broth. I got full so fast! I wish I could've eaten more! Service was very pleasant and quick although they were busy. The ayce is only on Tuesdays and Sundays!

They have AYCE A5 Wagyu here! Wow! The wagyu is really good! I'm not sure if it's possible to eat your money's worth of wagyu, but I'd recommend trying!Overall, the meat, broth, and veggies were all great! The AYCE Wagyu is only available Tuesday and Sunday!Friendly great service!

Great service always checking up on us but politely and on point. I ordered the spicy miso tonkotsu broth and my bf ordered the tonkotsu. My broth was flavorful but just needed more spice so I requested more hot drops and chili powder which they accommodated to no problem. The vegetables and meat quality were good and so fresh. I'm very particular about freshness at shabu places, so I was very satisfied. The only thing lacking and that I'm very picky about are the sauce options. Many Shabu restaurants have a sauce bar which I love so that was what I was sad about that they didn't have. Their two sauces that they serve are good and goes well with the meats. We will definitely be here for shabu cravings for sure.

The Cindy and staff are so sweet, they kept asking if there was anything else we needed, very attentive and offered to put more broth if it was too spicy. The food was all fresh and had great flavor. We waited until it opened it seemed to be the best around here and we were right it was worth waiting. My daughter and I ordered the large premium beef toro this was plenty for us still left some food. The price was very affordable.
