$12.95 carne asada burrito was pretty good for being in middle of nowhere pit stop. Friendly staff and good restrooms.

Don't order the special. This place gave me dulcolax and I literally almost shat my sleeping bag at 4am at the entrance to Joshua tree. Avoid at all costs if you are white....

The food was pretty good, but the service was nonexistent. After three visits, all equally bad, we won't be back. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Nice for a quick stop for food. Staff is very friendly and they have a nice place to sit outside if you have pets.

GETTING HERE: I-10 is really long. I mean, really long and really straight. I would very much recommend adding this on your GPS and checking out the area. The Summit is quite large and full of things to do and see. REVIEW: This is a nice place to stop for a respite if you're in the area. There's a Chevron, a museum, a Foster's, and a few other places. But, my crew was hangry so we headed to the Coffee Shop. It was a good time. The wait staff were insanely busy; it was lunch time when we stopped in for a rest. There were two ladies on the floor and they were booking it! Props to those that work in the food industry post-shutdown. We (kind of) seated ourselves and decided to choose our food asap to make the best use of our time. We ordered a garden salad and the turkey sandwich. They were both just OK at best. There are things for sale as you enter the restaurant: shirts, blankets, postcards, etc. Check those out! This location is rich with history of the Chiriaco family. History should be preserved and respected and this location does that almost perfectly. Ask someone about the family history, it's fascinating.

nothing to write home about....average diner food, which is all I expected here. packaged dressings for the salads, canned soups for soup of the day. location is convenient to fly in for lunch and a trip to the Patton Museum. Service was ok...again, nothing to write home about. will probably give it another shot later.

Very expensive! Bacon&egg sandwich and fried zucchini = $29!! Tourist type place and bad American economy, I get it. I won't take a star because I was hungry. Staff, we dealt with 2 women ~ wonderful and 5* Zucchini, probably frozen, but cooked right and served hot 5* Egg, bacon & cheese on rye - everything cooked to perfection, so enjoyable 5*****
