If you need a cart you better get one in the parking lot before entering. Customer service needs much improvement. Unfriendly checkers who do not want to be there (except 2) and rarely enough help at the check stands.. it’s a beautiful store but I’d rather shop out of town.

Great selection but terrible lines. This place is constantly backed up and refuses to staff the store correctly. It’s also the only save mart that has no self checkout. please staff the store so that more than 1 or two check stands can be open. It’s ridiculous, to the point where if I see a huge Ike when I walk in I just turn around and walk out. The only other grocery store in town is Dollar General and although they lack the quality and selection that save mart offers, their service is top tier. Anymore them two customers in line and they call in for help.

I bought my Father's 80th birthday cake for his party and it was amazing! I only wish I had ordered a bigger cake! Everybody went crazy for it. I ordered fresh strawberries and whipped cream frosting and it was perfect! Thank you Bakery Dept. Great job! 🎂

I enjoy the store and my experience there until I met the employee Tim, he was very passive aggressive and rude to other customers and to his employees! It was so uncomfortable I stayed away from his line

I was attempting to buy a gift card through the instacart app but i couldnt find any options to do so. I called the service desk and asked if I could buy a card through the app or online. The only answer I could get repeatedly is " we don't sell them over the phone" like it was the only phrase the guy knew. Zero help, couldn't take 2 seconds to understand the question that was being asked.

Great store clean, offers everything, great customer service, plenty of parking.
Little high on prices but now everyone is. The workers though are under staffed or the scheduling is not there which result on long waits

I normally don't do store reviews but it's from the food section. Got em sushi from em around 4pm. Boy, these are legit as it get. Still taste like they just made it. Overfilled with dried fried onions. Taste just like at a Japanese restaurant. Nice small ginger and wasabi side. So yummy. Price is base on portions. Definitely going back for more sushi. Not much selection but in our small town, this is as good as it get.

We are long time customers of Chowchilla Save mart. We always try to shop local but I’m so disappointed in their customer service. My daughter who goes to school and works part time receives WIC for her daughter. She went into the store to use it and was over by $13. She left her card in her car, she was driving mine at the time. She told him she didn’t have enough to cover it as she forgot her card. The cashier Kao announced to the whole line sorry she doesn’t have enough and I have to redo everything. He was extremely rude to her and humiliated her! She came to drop off my car in tears. Instead of showing compassion, grace or patience he belittled her making her feel bad for using WIC something many use in these expensive times. I could have Apple Payed her but she was so overwhelmed with how she was treated she just wanted to leave and held herself together until she got to the car. Customers shouldn’t be discriminated against for needing help. Kao should learn some kindness and basic decency!!!

Well organized store! Very clean and great selection of groceries. Good customer service. Good sales and price reduction offered. Conveniently located off off the highway and plenty of parking spaces available. Located in a good location where fast food restaurants are available for a quick bite.
