I came to SeaWorld with my scooter. I forgot my key at home. I called Alternative Mobility. They helped me right away. It only cost me $5 to get a replacement key. Thank you so much. I saved $109. If I had rented one from SeaWorld.

Judge came out today to break down two of my son's power wheelchairs so that we could keep the parts for future needs. He was great! Always very courteous and professional. He knew what he was doing and explained which parts were worth keeping and which ones were not and told me what they were so I could label them. He took away the parts I didn't need. What a blessing he was today for us. I finally can get these two wheelchairs out of my living room! Thanks Judge - and Nick! We will definately call Nick if we need help again. My son and I highly recommend this company.

These guys were so friendly! They were open on the weekends, and let us rent some stuff. There selection is second to none as well. Couldn't recommend them more.

Nick and his staff are knowledgeable, professional, NICE, and fair. I have a folding scooter and the collar that holds the steering column in place had broken. I had purchased the part hoping I could fix it myself, but it was beyond my ability. I contacted Nick, sent him the instructions and felt his estimate was fair. I took the scooter down and when I contacted him, a few days later, so said that the kit I bought was missing some parts. He obtained the missing parts, fixed the scooter and charged me half of what he had quoted on the phone. Highly recommend this reputable service!

Alternative Mobility has taken care of my mobility scooters and lift for 10 years. When I have a problem, Nick always drops what he is doing to get me back on the road. He is super honest and reasonably priced. Other Mobility Centers have tried to take advantage of my disabled situation. I highly recommend that you visit Alternative Mobility. It's worth it.

Yesterday we planned to take my sister to the Japanese Friendship Garden, so we stopped by to rent a wheelchair for the day as she twisted her knee that morning and couldn't walk. We received excellent service from Nick, who was very helpful and personable. He showed us how to use it and loaded it into our vehicle. After a brief trip to the garden, we ended up taking my sister to urgent care. Turns out that we were going to need the wheelchair longer than one day. When we went back to return the rental, we ended up purchasing a brand new one because it worked out well for us. Nick put our rental fee towards to purchase of the new wheelchair and we were grateful for it.

We needed a wide wheelchair for 2 days. We got an outdated hard to open and hard to close clunky heavy wheelchair. The foot pedals fell off easily. When she rented and picked up this extremely heavy wheelchair, she got no help to put it in the car. Where is the professional service? You don't let a customer struggle to load your equipment. It was very tacky. Order some lightweight wheelchairs everyone isn't the same size. Throw out your outdated wheelchairs. The customers suffer when they rent them.

I recently rented an electric scooter from Nick, and I want to give Nick (owner) and Mike (his assistant who brought the scooter to my place) a big shoutout. They are a small business, and super busy, and in spite of that they were very responsive, friendly and helpful. I had asked for delivery on a Monday, but it turns out Monday is their busiest day, so Nick called me on the Friday before and offered to bring me the scooter that day, Friday, and he gave me 3 extra days free of charge! I actually wanted to rent it starting on that Friday, but the online company I had gone through (long story short, they totally sucked!) told me, inaccurately, that there were no scooters available for Friday, and I had to wait until Monday to get it. I initially thought Nick was an employee of that terrible online company, but now that I know about him and his company, Alternative Mobility, I will spread the word about his wonderful company, and the great service he provides people with mobility disabilities. And when I need an electric scooter again, I'll will go directly through him. He's very responsive, helpful, prompt, and his rates are very reasonable. I considered buying a scooter from him, but I have no space to store it, unfortunately. Thank you so much, Nick and Mike, for all your help! You guys were life savers!

I came to San Diego for our vacation and the airlines snapped my headrest in half, which I rely on very much... after a phone call we showed up and had it welded together immediately, Nick was very friendly and offered us snacks and drinks while we waited!

An elderly client of mind had a mobile scooter in pretty bad shape. I called this place not having any idea what to do. Nick B. (Owner, operator) went out of his way to talk me through some troubleshooting steps on the phone. Then when I dropped the scooter off at the Chula Vista location, Nick did all he could to help me get the scooter back in running order. Honest, straightforward. Excellent service, even though it was a very busy day.

We visited today trying to get an estimate for a repair for my mothers wheelchair. The owner Nick or associate proceeded to be one of the biggest pricks I've ever met. He did nothing to help or offer any assistance for my mother via the phone as well before we even visited the location. I would NOT recommend this to anyone dude to his poor behavior. He shouldn't be speaking to potential clients with an attitude or being rude. Go spend your money somewhere else.

On a recent flight between Fargo, ND and San Diego, CA my husband's walker was damaged by the airline. The airline made arrangements to quickly replace the walker and Nick from Alternative Mobility came to the rescue. He had the exact walker my husband has been using for the past 5 years.Nick kept in constant communication with me in making arrangements for us to pick up the new walker. When we arrived at his location, he greeted us with a smile and was helpful and made us feel very comfortable.I highly recommend Alternative Mobility because of their great communication and helpfulness.

Purchased a new lightweight wheelchair for $700 yesterday. Salesman Nick Bongiomo was all smiles and helpful that day. He assisted me in getting chair into our auto. Has to remove wheels for transport. Today when I called him for help in putting wheels back onto chair. He has no time to help me. Could not wait to get off phone even tho I said “wait” “wait” so my husband could discuss with him our problem… he hung up the phone. Buyer Beware JSmith
