I have never stayed at an Ayres hotel. For my business trip , this hotel was the only one close enough to my location. I wasn't thrilled that it was in Chula Vista, but what the heck , the company is paying not me! Looking at the pictures it looked new .i invited the wife and kids to join me and I was very nervous. Once we arrived we realized that this area is a newer development with gated communities and affluent neighborhoods. This location is next to a mall and shopping center that offers plenty of dining and shopping options. Once we arrived to the hotel , we were impressed ! Really clean! Modern looking, and the staff if helpful and friendly. My wife who notices everything and finds things wrong with every room we stay in. Said it was perfect ! The rooms are spacious with a mini fridge, microwave, safe, hairdryer, and ironing boards. There is onsite free parking, laundry room, fitness center, and lobby Bar. Breakfast is included and freshly prepared. I read reviews that didn't like the food. But for a hotel breakfast, it was excellent. And if you don't want to eat here, there is a McDonald's right outside their Front door. I will definitely come back and stay at this location again!! Thank you !!!

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was very very clean throughout and the staff was friendly and professional. They have a nice breakfast with good variety and a little convenience "store" stocked with great essentials- smart water, protein bars, etc. The bedding was comfortable and the room was nicely appointed. Another big plus is that they offer free charging for EVs. The only feedback I have for management is to replace the rubber mats in the shower. They make the water drain very slowly and it pools at your feet. Other than that, my stay was perfect!

One of the best hotels i have stayed in US so far. Value for money. Great location with walking access to all shops and restaurants. Large parking lot which also has 5 to 6 EV chargers. Good quality continental breakfast in the morning - pan cakes, waffles, fruits, scrambled eggs & potato. Room and toiletries are very good. Only thing we thought missing is the TV does not support youtube or any streaming apps. Great staff, very helpful.

Rooms are large. Bed was comfy. The hotel is kept clean and the breakfast was really good. It’s right across from a mini shopping area. Few Restaurants within walking distance. Only thing I didn’t like was that it’s kinda out of the way like way back there in Chula Vista.

Had a wonderful one night stay at Ayres in Chula Vista. Very clean and an amazing staff. Had breakfast with one of the owners Bruce was very concerned about my stay. It’s nice to see that kind of attention to detail. They serve a terrific breakfast with cooked to order omelets. I was there for the Vetsaid concert at the amphitheater. The location was very convenient. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. I didn’t have a chance to have anything from the bar since it is closed on Sunday. They do have beverages and snacks for sale in the lobby. If you’re in the Chula Vista area look no further than Ayres.Rooms: Large and comfortable roomsFood & drinks: Great breakfast

This hotel is priced in the same category as a holiday inn or Hampton inn but stands out above these generic hotels due to impeccable cleanliness and what feels like double the square footage of the room and bathroom. We were put in a pet friendly room so our room had hard flooring without carpet. This added further to the feeling of cleanliness. There was not a single pet hair in sight, no chemical smells, and no dingy carpet to be afraid of walking on. The staff were all noticably trained to be very polite, professional, and kind-- standouts were Moses at the front desk and Mariela in the breakfast room. The included breakfast was the usual processed foods and lacking in quality ingredients, but this is totally on par with any hotel in this category, so I never walk into a free hotel breakfast with high expectations. They did add many thoughtful extras like three waffle irons, vegan scrambled eggs, a pancake machine, oatmeal machine. It was super clean, well stocked, and seemed like nothing was running low because Mariela was working so hard to keep up with the stream of customers. She should be promoted. The walls were very thin and I heard a lot of rowdiness and stomping upstairs from what sounded like a frat house boys night out. Overall 10++/10 experience and perfect location to sesame and the zoo.

We have stayed here twice now, and both times we've been glad we chose this hotel. Being unfamiliar with the Ayres brand of hotels but needing somewhere close to CBX for morning flights out of TIJ, we went in blind and figured for the price it was worth as shot.Friends, we were more than impressed. There's parking right out front for while you check-in and the lot is huge so you can always find a spot near the door closest to your room once you have checked in.Everyone who works here is so kind and helpful, and very tolerant of over-tired children (thank you!!).The rooms are large and the beds are super comfortable. Everything is spotlessly clean, our 6yo loves the big bathtubs, and we appreciate the blackout shades behind the regular shades. The free breakfast is not good. There's no way around it. The eggs are rubbery and tasteless, even the coffee is sad. If you're off the "something-is-better-than-nothing" mindset than you'll be fine eating here, for us personally we will skip it next time.We will look for Ayres Hotels next time we are traveling elsewhere and will 100% stay here every time we use CBX.

The hotel was great. Room was very clean! I love the long pool hours, perfect for night swimming in anicely heated. The breakfast was also very good. We were there for a concert that was canceled and ended up staying an extra day because we liked the hotel. If and when the concert gets rescheduled, it would be great if the hotel did some kind of "return" discount. I would definitely rebook with them again if they did. My only complaint is that check out time is at 12 but while loading up the car to leave, the key card was disabled at 11:45 so we didn't get to go back to the room and do a final check to see if we forgot something. That was disappointing!Food & drinks: Definitely try taqueria revolution, some of the best tacos!

If you guys are in the area, this hotel cannot be beat! Prime location! You got every store you can possibly need within a few miles from the hotel. I would without a doubt recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Chula Vista. Staff is great, hotel is clean and looks beautiful. You really can't ask for more.

This place was nice!! It's in a great area too, restaurants and shops are all within walking distance! No valet; parking was free, and they give you a parking pass to put on your dash. I was blown away at how nice this place was and how nice the area was, I've never heard great things about Chula Vista but this area changed my mind! Our room was fabulous, great view of the mountains and pool. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was clean and had a huge tub. Something I've never seen before, when you enter your room you put your key card in a slot by the door which turns on all of the electricity/ac in the room. Super cool, makes you not forget your key either! Everyone we encountered was really friendly and welcoming, and the price of the room was affordable for all of the great features. The only downside of this great hotel was the complimentary breakfast, it wasn't good. The breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes (very spicy) and we had to make our own waffles/pancakes etc. I think with the price we are paying including more breakfast options would be a great addition. Overall it was a great stay, I'll definitely stay here again in the future!

4/5 due to our room being right outside the hotel bar, so was a bit noisy when we were trying to go to bed early. Not the fault of anyone, just keep in mind if your hotel is facing the bar you could have some slight noise issues, but I don't think they're open too late. Super good breakfast, service was great!

Day 1 today and first time staying with Ayres. Initial impression--- looks, smells and feels clean. Ample parking space. Check in fast and efficient. Enough space for 3 adults and 1 kid. Our room has 1 bed and sofa bed that fits 2 so ample resting place for the family. I love that they have a microwave and fridge in the room. Wifi is fast too, that is definitely a plus!
