Workers are all assholes especially the person I suspect to be the manager, not sure why, I mean you work at a bookstore dude. Came in at my usual 2pm time that i do once a week and they're incredibly passive aggressive and have a nauseating case of main character syndrome. This place suffers from the whole "workers think they're celebrities" delusion. And the vibe almost seems super "gatekeepy" but certainly judgey. Unfortunately this is the only Barnes and noble nearby so if you go I would say avoid the workers at all costs. Can't find a book? Don't ask for help instead buy it on Amazon for a cheaper price these people are either brain rotted from the hair dye they soak their heads in, the rusted piercings they mush into what I think are their faces or apart of a secret lobotomy experiment. Collectively they seem to have the brain power of a pencil and the social skills of a soaked battery.

Books! Coffee! What else do you need. The rest of the mall is superfluous!

Went on a Saturday at 2pm. How is it acceptable to only have 1 cashier open? Not sure why the cashier did not call for back up or if they did and no one showed up.

I do like the store, the people were friendly and not only did I find the book I was looking for, my wife found one that she has been wanting to read. If you want to shop books, but want the hands on the product feeling, I would absolutely give this particular store a recommendation. We recently came into possession of stamp albums with no postage, and thought we better educate ourselves before we make the wrong move. Most the employees know what their doing, but one might not know the difference from poetry and religion lol. Great store though....

I always find fun things every time I come here. We bought books, puzzles and games. The value book section is super fun, all sorts of neat gift ideas. Check out was fairly quick also.

This is best location in Otay Ranch than Grossmont center and Santee for the Barnes and Nobles store.
