If I could give you ZERO starts I will, unfortunately I have to give u one but clearly this place doesn't deserve that. If you love your dogs pls DONT TAKE THEM TO THIS PLACE Si pudiera dar 0 estrellas a este lugar y el personal que "cuida" de ellos lo daría. Si quieres a tu perro evita llevarlo aquí.

I believe Niko love all the adventures and meeting new dog friends. I love the way he got his baths there, however I wish it was the same price. One groomer charged $20.00 where the other groomer charged $35.00. Niko looked great both times. I just need the price to be the same.

Out experience has been great recently. There are several people working each shift, so the response is always fast when we bring in our dog.The staff is always friendly and remembers our dog from visit to visit. We have now started bringing our second dog to Camp Run-a- Mutt as well, which has been good for him in terms of socialization.

The Camp Run-A-Mutt crew in Chula Vista have always been super friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable for the last year when I started bringing one of my dogs there for daycare and boarding. Now I have two dogs that go there for daycare and boarding and they love both to see their canine friends there for playdates. I have also used their grooming and vet services. All of them have earned and deserve 5 stars!

Our family dog’s name is Funko. Funko is a blue nose pitbull & he is eight years old. He was rehomed to us at the age of 3. Funko is a very nervous dog, & has leash aggression. Because of this, we would avoid taking him out on walks but this year we decided to give Camp Run-A-Mutt a chance… what we can say as a family is that we regret not bringing him sooner! Funko anticipates going to camp, every morning when he hears me walk to our front door, he runs hoping that it’s one of the two days I take him to camp during the week. He comes home from camp depleted of all the fun he has.Funko really wanted to write this review, but he just got back from camp and is exhausted! Thanks Camp Run-A-Mutt staff, Funko always feels loved at camp??

Vinnie our rescue mix gets boarded about once a month or so. He was shy there at first but now he recognizes it and gets very excited to get greeted and taken by the staff. If your dog seems shy the first few times it may click over time. we opt for boarding rather than in home care as at camp he is never alone and he always has many friends to play with and gets staff love.

Camp Run-A-Mutt - Chula Vista is the BEST doggie daycare and the place you want to leave your dog for overnight stays. Our dog Brick loves them and can't wait to jump out of the car and immediately run in to greet everyone. He is so happy while he is there and loves to play with the other dogs and the staff. He stays for Christmas while we travel and he couldn't be happier. The staff treats him like he is their very own dog. I couldn't be more satisfied with Camp Run-A-Mutt and know that Brick is in the very best hands while we are gone.

Camp Run-A-Mutt saved our vacation!! We have a puppy and couldn’t find anyone to dog sit while away so we had to bring him with us. Although our RV resort (Sun Outdoors about 2 miles away) allowed pets, we didn’t want to leave him all day while site seeing. Thankfully Camp Run-A-Mutt came to the rescue!!! Not only that, but our pup Blue had the best time and came home each night all tuckered out from playing. They were closed on Sunday but thankfully we utilized the overnight option so we could go to the Padres game. Anyway, I just want to share my sincere appreciation for this staff. Wonderfully ran facility and the doggy cams were a huge bonus. My only complaint is I don’t live nearby to keep sending him to get all his energy out.

Love this place! They are friendly and take care of our Gunner (Lab puppy)I wanted to add, We’ve left Gunner for the day and overnight, I love the little report cards they give at the end of the visit! I also love that I can be out of town and be able to check on Gunner via cam. The intake and outtake is smooth and quick. The staff is very friendly and you can definitely tell they enjoy working with dogs! The price is affordable and they support our military!

I have gotten multiple emails about reviewing camp run a mutt so here is a real and honest review. Initially, this place was great. We had a brand new German Shepherd puppy with a lot of energy and both worked during the day. We went to camp run a mutt, did a temperament test, everything was good to go so we started right away and used the Chula Vista location. So much so that we had the unlimited pass, which was pretty expensive but necessary so we paid it.Fast forward to the end of our time here- our dog got kicked out for his behavior towards staff and other dogs. None of which we were properly informed of over the period of time he was there until it reached a point where it was no longer safe for their staff or other dogs for him to be around because of how rough he played. Prior to taking him here we never had an issue- we went to dog parks, dog beaches ma, public places and never once had a problem. We stopped doing this once we found camp run a mutt as he was usually exhausted by the end of the day. After he got kicked out we resumed those outing and that’s when we saw the multiple behavioral problems that he picked up at camp run a mutt. Long story short it resulted in us paying $5000 for a board and train program to correct the behavior he learned here. The training company who is very well known in San Diego advised us that this happens all the time because they have minimal staff, who aren’t trained and the dogs often adopt these behaviors over time and no correction. The part that frustrated us the most was the lack of communication and emphasis on how serious the issue actually was leading up to our last time there. From what I heard the old owners sold it and someone else took it over so I can’t speak on the new ownership but what I can say from experience is that if your dog doesn’t have behavioral problems, expect they might adopt some going here. For some dogs, I think this is a great option but after having to spend the last couple years retraining our dog it wasn’t worth the time he spent there.

Camp Run A Mutt was awesome! We loved that they have a temperament test for all dogs before they are allowed for daycare or boarding. Our dog Alfredo loved his play time with all his new friends! They also have cams for you to view your doggo while you are away! We will continually use Camp Run A Mutt as needed in the future!

I toured 3 camps before this one. I left my sweetie a few hours at each camp and when I would pick him up, he could not get out fast enough except….at camp run a mutt. My sweetie loves staying here, playing with the dogs and staff. As soon as he sees the building he’s howling and doing the happy dance. It’s awesome that I can check on him any time (during business hours) via their cameras. Day care or boarding. I absolutely recommend it.

We send our dog here for daycare occasionally, between two and four times a month. We also recently used their boarding services for a few nights. The live cameras are really nice, we just wish the video quality was better and that there were more views of the play areas. They pups get sent home with a cute report card, which basically details which pups they liked to play with, how they spent their day, etc. We haven't yet used their grooming services, but are looking into that for our pup's next daycare visit. Bottom line, we will be using Camp-Run-A-Mutt for future daycare/boarding needs!

We have been taking our dog to this location since year 2 of their opening and everything was great (3 blocks from our home, extremely convenient). Not sure what happened to the staff after the change of ownership, but it seems like they are only there for a paycheck. Our dog in the last few years has gone blind and deaf and the current owner had said that this is not a reason for them to turn her away and they welcome her back. However, when we brought her in for the temperament test they failed her right away because she bumped into the fence and refused to drink water at their command. We reminded them that she was blind and cannot see, to which they replied "she still shouldn't be bumping into things". Then we told them that maybe she wasn't thirsty, to that they replied "she needs to drink water when it's presented to her". They simply only want dogs there that they don't have to worry about because they don't care about the dogs and are there to collect a paycheck. We have since reached out to the Point Loma location and they have welcomed her with open arms. By far not convenient, but worth it so our little girl can be with ones that care.

These people were so good to my dog. I left him there for 6 hours after he passed the temperament test. I checked on him many times throughout that 6 hours via video cameras. I saw him playing and wandering around with the other pups. In addition, every time I checked, there were one or two humans there overseeing the dogs. I am SO HAPPY I found this place. Thanks Run-a-mutt!
