I opened a personal account, got a credit card set up, and I applied for a business account during my visit. Within 1 month, I ran into problem, after problem, after problem, between just trying to use my temporary card, depositing money (I couldn't), I tried to wire transfer money at a different branch in Chula Vista, that was sent as a fund transfer instead, causing issues. Today I go to log in to check the financials as the online balance wouldn't update to the correct balance, and I find out that I can't log in. Not only would it not log in, but my account is closed and the credit card is cancelled. I have no idea what is going on. My money is "not being released" and I cannot access it. Supposedly I will receive a letter in the mail and no one at the branch nor corporate will tell me why any of this is going on. My money is up in the air and I have lost 2 good chunks of work days just trying to get the account set up and perform this wire transfer repeatedly to my trading account, which took about 2 weeks total to get processed. Its a WIRE TRANSFER, why on earth do I get hit with a $25 charge for a wire transfer that refuses to process of over one week. At this time my money is gone and no one will help me or give me any information. I am just supposed to wait for a letter and a check. That doesn't work for me! WHERES MY MONEY?!******Post Response from Citi******Dear "Owner,"I contacted the branch as well as the fraud department, as well as customer service. If it takes a Google review to fix things at your company, no customer should give you their business. Absolutely wild this is where things are at.******Post Email & Email Response from Citi******Citi rep Shaun J. stated, "We kindly ask that you contact our Fraud team for further assistance"-------Shaun J. is useless as I have already stated I spoke with Citibank's fraud department, thus now I am running in circles. WHERES MY MONEY?!

Citi closed my credit card for no reason and now that's going to hurt my credit score. This is a hard inquiry for nothing, effecting credit score massively. Not only is it a hard inquiry, it adds to newest accounts opened, but was closed within a month. The total credit to my name drops as well.Citibank has huge technical issues with all things digital, check out their recent massive fines from the government.

I really wish I would have read some of these reviews before going into this bank, it would have save me so time . Worst bank ever! I made an appointment to open up a business Acct. my appointment was for 11 the person helping(Nallely) us was on the phone she ended up staying on the phone knowing we were waiting for 20 more mins . She finally did our application and told us it should be 1 business day for us to get an answer. 8 days later I decided to go back to the bank because nobody answers the phone. I asked to speak with Nallely to ask her what the problem was what's she lied straight to my face and claim she tried to called me and husband . So I asked her why didn't she leave a message she said our vm was not set up "lies" . She said there was 4 questions missing that needed to be answered on our application and asked me for my number again and told me she will call me . Well 14 days later nothing . I believe if was Hispanic or any other race besides black I would have possibly had a different outcome .Nallelly Espitia Gutierrez was very unprofessional and unethical and I hope nobody has to experience this bad service from her . I love their service free checks when i opened my account online. i got a temporary debit card from their office. The employees are nice. they greeted me as soon as I came in. I will recommend this bank to other people. Great job guys, keep it up. Julieta Figueroa

Opened an account yesterday (6/30/23 with Adolfo Vera) & he flat out lied to me about when the funds would be available on a check written from one of their accounts. Was told I would have it Wednesday, only because Tues is a holiday. But of course after I opened the account & signed over the check, all of a sudden.. it's now a whole week later (Saturday the 7/8/23). Whole reason I need the funds, a semi totalled my vehicle & I need to buy a replacement, as I do delivery work for a living. So thanks to them lying to me, I'll be stuck at home for SIX days with 2 german shepherd's & a 14 yo daughter. Unable to make any money for almost a wk! That's 3/4 the income this month thanks to them lying to me. Stuff like this is why people snap..I definitely wouldn't recommend this bank or location to anyone. And I look forward to closing my account after the funds are available & finding a better bank to deposit my upcoming settlement check into.

Lie to you about when your check will clear.. just to get you to sign up for an acct. All banks are scam artists.. this one started way sooner than most!

I went to this Citibank branch dreading an encounter with an officer on the platform because of all the negative reviews of Citibank on Yelp! Boy was I surprised! There was nobody at any of the desks, but I was called to the teller's window. The teller (Miguel, whose title is "concierge) was able to take care of my issue quickly. He was wonderfully helpful and courteous. The whole encounter was easy and pleasant. I left a happy Citibank customer.

I over paid my Citi credit card and was sent a refund Citi check. Went to this Citi bank branch to cash it and they asked if I had an account. Told them I have Citi credit cards. Well was told they could not cash it at that branch and I would have to go to one of there other branch to cash it. Not good customer service. I will no longer use my Citi credit cards

This is probably the laziest group of bankers I have ever met. Showed up to deposit $50,000 in the bank one person was busy opening an account for someone. Another person informed me that he was on the investment side and sat there and did nothing for the 35 minutes that I will be less was left waiting. When I finally got to talk to somebody the woman said she had an appointment at 3 o'clock so she couldn't help me. However it was only 2:38 PM. She asked me if I could wait for the other clerk who might be finished at 3 o'clock. I asked her why she couldn't help me and it was only 238 she said it takes longer than that open up a checking account. Yeah sure if you're using pony express. They don't deserve your deposit goes somewhere else.

I wass trying to cash a cashier check and after I spend almost 45 minutes waiting outside with a temperature 75 I degrees I have the surprise what I have to wait because the manager went to a lunch (x how long only he knows) wass a2.30pm .my daughter wass waiting x me because she haven't not eat and she wass dying x food but,to my is not fear what a customer has to wait x a person what should put somebody o assistant in charge .i am real dessapoint x this situation YOU BE THE JUDGE the name of the manager wass ADOLFO they don't give me the last name.location H st n Chula Vista California

Ive been banking with these guys for awhile now with my business accounts. Ramona and Alexa are the best. They are quick efficient and pull up my account info incredibly fast. Highly recommend starting an account here because compared to other banks they have the best rates. Thx guys
