Truly the best veterinarian in San Diego - Dr. Lila Batiari! She was very competent and very knowledgeable. Following her instructions helped my cat improve rapidly. I HIGHLY recommend her and South Bay Veterinary Hospital! Great place to bring your fur babies. Staff is awesome and friendly.

Had to bring my little guy in after he was not well. After weeks of treatment. He's now back to his normal self. Unfortunately, he's looking at surgery in the future to remove some stones but he's lost 4 lbs on the prescribed diet. He has another 4 lbs to go but I'm very thankful of the team here. Thank you Dr. Deo and Dr. Lila. Also, the front desk staff is amazing and very helpful and caring. Thank you Cece, Stephanie, and Yaya to name a few.

Great place, amazing service. We took our little dog Peanut because she was dying in my arms.. our two month puppy was having problems and we took her to Tijuana with a veterinarian, but suddenly Friday morning she was unresponsive and we run with her on my arm crossing the street to this hospital. The nurse took her right away and they stable her, we picked up our little Peanut in the afternoon with a better condition..,she was much better but even with all the meds she started having the same problem Saturday morning. We decide to put her to sleep because we love her so much and we don't want her to be suffering every-time her glucose-was low she colapse and almost die.. to much for her and for us.. the veterinarian decide to adopt her and she took over the treatment for little Peanut, she offered to give the puppy an opportunity to live better with her care. I am happy that we took her to this place. All people that works in this Hospital are very nice, professional and being there for few hours give us the chance to see their dedication. We are very thankful to Ana, she took care of our puppy the first night and she was so nice, she give us updates on the little one conditions and explained every details to us. I recommend this place , i am sure you will be happy to see the care they offered to our precious pets. Mariana M.

Jessica's attitude is not one you would like to deal with. I got my dog euthinized here on Feb 26th still have not received paw prints I paid for and got a rude response when I called to ask about what was going on I was told in office that I would have it in a week it has now been over two weeks and I had not heard anything. Tried to call yesterday and they had the phone off. Called this morning and got a rude response from jessica you guys need to train you employees on handling sensitive matters.

Best vet I ever been to. They really care about your animals. The prices are really affordable too. There's also a really handsome young vet working there now which makes it even better. I have been coming here for years and all the vets there are very knowledgeable and caring. This is my vet for life now. They are different because they are not trying to rob you for every cent in your pocket, they genuinely want to save your pet, and give it the healthiest life ever. That's rare to find, I am so lucky I found this place.

Have gone here for years now and would never go anywhere else. Best Veterinary hospital in South Bay/Chula Vista area. I love Dr Deo! Always thorough and excellent at diagnosis of ailments. I trust him and his well educated staff completely with my Basset Hound Jamaica!

Ok. So I wasn't as prepared as usual when I decided to drop off my pup for day care. I had to update a vaccine before dropping her off and the day care suggested this place. It was a little out of my way but I had to get it done. For the vaccine it was $35 which seem more expensive than I was expecting. Again, I really didn't have a choice. The staff was friendly. I waited for about 20 minutes since I didn't have an appointment but got out of there with what I needed. Plenty of parking. I didn't expect a part 2 to this vaccine but it was another $35. I'll shop around next time.

Originally from Chula Vista but moved away for grad school. When I sense something is wrong with my pup, I'm willing to make the drive down and stay with my parents. They are affordable and kind! When I first came here after adopting Scottie from a family member in Chula Vista, I was very pessimistic. When I adopted him he was looking rough and the first vet I took him to in my city up north tried to upsell me on many products and looked at him for a second, didn't even give me any eye contact. Also, on top of the selling aspect, the clinic would slyly add additional charges with simple phrases like "We'll wash his ear for you quickly so you can head out." They charged me $90 out the door for ear flush including his "follow-up" charge. Prior to that, his initial appointment I paid $275 for a mere ear infection and conjunctivitis. It was terrible. No one who loves their animal should have to go through what that clinic put me through. So imagine me, grumpy as hell, coming into South Bay Vet, expecting the same thing. Yet everyone was exceptionally nice, they kept the prices reasonable and didn't burden me with choosing more expensive products and feeling guilty if I didn't buy them. The "nurse" Kim, was super great. She heard me. I spoke my concerns and she was very receptive. She assured me she would take care of my pup and I believed her. Which is hard for me to do nowadays. Additionally, Dr. Deo (sr) saw me shortly but he just has a great charismatic personality. Very different from vets I've seen in the past. This place also has a big nice waiting room with a TV! How fun. Couldn't be more pleased. If I have to choose, I'll make the drive down every time just for their service. Keep it up guys, you're doing great!

Always have the nicest staff at the desk. I never have any issues with appointments or walk ins. The pricing isn't bad compared to some other places. My fur baby never seems stressed when going there. It's very clean and has plenty of parking in the back. I would recommend anyone with a fur baby to give this place a try!

It was scary to seek medical help for my cat on Superbowl Sunday. From the calm professional voice of Torrie over the phone to our caring nurse Rafael to the expedient evaluation and instruction from Dr. Petrucci the entire experience was excellent. Costs were very reasonable and they were very gracious too. Did I stay this was Sunday? Thanks so much!

Great place to bring your fur babies! I highly recommend this place everyone looking for that wholesome veterinary with an awesome friendly staff. I actually changed vets from the VCA in Bonita and will never look back. I have a big dog who is very nice and didn't get that feeling I could trust the VCA staff with my kid. South Bay Vet was cool and understanding with my guy. I never got a complaint that he was bad or heard him yelp like I did at the other place. He came out wagging his tail and has never been apprehensive walking in. Awesome place!!

I've had such an incredible experience with every single person I've had the pleasure to meet and work with here! It is by far the most affordable and reasonable vet I've ever come across. They're so kind and helpful, and they explain all the technical stuff in such easy to understand layman's terms. Not to mention, having a vet that's open most hours, every day of the week is unbeatable. Yaya and Destiny especially, never cease to make every extra effort to go above and beyond with all of my and my fur babies needs! They always offer such warm welcomes and smiling faces. They remember us, and treat us like family- to the point that my pups actually get excited going to the vet! We just moved to Hawaii, and heartbreakingly have to leave this place behind. Going to a rabies free island is a huge process, but many hours and visits later, we arrived yesterday hassle-free! Thanks to the countless efforts, and tireless work put in by these two incredible women, what could've been a nightmare turned out to be a dream come true. Destiny personally saw to it that I got copies of everything I needed for our future vet, and was quick to respond to my many phone calls and emails. Yaya walked me through the process every step of the way, answered so many of my questions, and made this arduous and troubling process such a breeze. I truly could not have made this happen without them. I couldn't have asked for a better team to do it with, and I am eternally grateful to have found such wonderful people along the way. Enjoy pics of our pups at their new dog park!

I found this pet hospital around Christmas time and I'm happy I did. Their staff truly cares about animals, and trust me I am extremely critical of the kind of people who I entrust with my dog's health. Prices are fair for the exceptional service and treatment they provide. Although my dog is aging and it makes me sad to bring her here, I know I am always getting an honest diagnoses and treatment. Thank you doctors and technicians for being kind to Bibi and I.
