Brought my dog due to her injecting rat poison. As I walk in there was one girl in the front and one hiding. Not one of them greeted us. The one girl in the front walked towards us said “hi” and then went to the back to go hug the other girl. Once she was done she came over and said to fill out paperwork. As we did she said “you can’t stop we can’t help you”Isn’t this an emergency clinic?? No helpful information was provided no direction on where to go. Absolutely the worst possible customer service experience.

I have been taking our dog to this veterinarian grooming services for several years now I had an appointment this morning to bring our dog in for grooming services as well as vaccination shots. I made the appointment yesterday told that needed to come in before noon. We had received a phone call earlier asking if I could come in at 10:30 AM. I contacted the facility at approximately 11 AM told him that I wouldn’t be there until approximately noon if that was still OK they put me on hold Told me yes I could go ahead and come in for the grooming services as well as the vaccination shots that were required when I showed up they told me that the grooming services were not available today at all that I could come back on a different date I told him that I had already spoke with someone less than an hour ago asking if I could come in they verified yes that I could but yet when I arrive, they told me that they were completely booked up This is not the first time I’ve had it that incident with this facility and if you read some of the other reviews, you can understand the frustration so I asked to talk to the owner she was there helping another client. She didn’t even acknowledge that she was going to talk to me she continue to go back-and-forth Between the back room, and the front never acknowledging that she would take a moment to talk to me I finally got frustrated and was expecting a phone call back from her which never happened so definitely not going back and will be looking for a different vet. Already found a different grooming service and very happy with the parking spot in Chula Vista they were able to take me Fairly quickly and did a fabulous job of the grooming dog

Very unprofessional staff and veterinarian. Shamed me for being concerned about my cats. I would avoid this place at all costs

JOSH has ZERO CONCEPT OF COSTUMER SERVICE l!! If JOSH does not get fired soon, or get put where he doesn't have to interact with costumers, this vet clinic will start loosing costumers fast. I have been taking my dog in this vet clinic for over 10 years now and I had never had any problems with them at all. Today I came to ask for my dog's vaccine record and Josh tried all the routine questions to find my record but he could not find it. Acct name, dogs name, add, and phone. Then he looked at me and said Nope! Cant find it! like he's expecting me to just leave. I told him this is the only place (my dog) has ever been in so you have to have his record somewhere. Eventually, with the help of the guy next to him my dog's record was found. Before I left I I tried to give Josh an advice politely about trying to help costumer and not just turn them away because you refuse to try harder. He did not take it like a good customer service professional but instead talked back like a little kid.

Horrible communication between front office and back office, negligent by giving my cats medication I said not to, extremely rude Veterinarian with no accountability. Ginny shouted at me when I pointed out that if a client verbally tells the staff not to give a certain medicine, you do not give it. No excuses. For more context, go and read my Yelp review since Yelp gives me more room to type. Please, if you love your fur babies, check the reviews on Yelp and do not go here. Check the BBB reviews too, there's a horrible review as well that is not from me. I only looked at the reviews here on Google and I regret it.

Updated review on 12/29/22:Well, today it was a good day for me, I'd finally receive a call and did spoke to Mrs. Biechel on the phone. She really did explained about their office system computer was completely down last week and also she did apologize to me on behalf of her staff of Eastlake Village Vet Clinic, after what happened to my pet boarding appt. schedule on (Dec 24 @9 am ) was booked already during day of Xmas eve hours. And it was unfortunately got ignored by her staff or receptionist because it wasn't got input to the system computer but only to their manual boarding appt. schedule on the wall. I guess, next time she said that their staff for now on , they'll input it the boarding appt. thru their system computer. But I suggest to use it both incase the office system is down again (manual boarding appt. on wall and also input it thru computer). So we both work it out, and resolve the issue to get a better solution to the problem and improve their customer service for their present / future clients. Mrs. Bischel offer me a compensation after what happened to our family plan trip got canceled and also to my family suffering of the result of it, due to boarding appt. got ignored or their staff wasn't aware the schedule on the wall because it wasn't in the system computer. Mrs. Bischel , for her generosity she did offer me, any time annual vaccines and pet boarding schedule for my two dogs for free this coming year of 2023'. So I told her, pls. do make sure all your staff are already in heads up, write it on the notes or in system computer and be aware about my compensation that I will receive this year. My family to yours Mrs. Bischel...we really do appreciate everything, and you made our day alright again after all what happened. I hope Eastlake Village Vet Clinic will be professionally deligently be squared away for good, as for their clients well-being purposes. So for now, I'd just add another star (*) problem solved !! Thank you Mrs. Bischel.I'd been taking my two-four legged cute dogs here for almost 3 yrs+ to present time either for our dogs annual vaccines appt, purchasing dog food etc. This veterinary clinic has a some what good service from time to time. Their staff or receptionist sometime has good customer service and some are just don't care. But one thing, I don't really like is just like what happen for our dog boarding reservation that I'd called Nov 12 to make boarding reservation, clearly spoke to receptionist confirmed it and again I went to vet clinic counter in person to confirmed again for my pet boarding during Dec 5 purchasing dog food. I'd already called and also went to their clinic confirmed to them our boarding schedule appt is good to go for Dec 24 @ 9 am drop off on the day of Xmas eve. receptionist even check the boarding schedule appt on the wall. And I'd trusted their receptionist her words that its good to go. So last week our family plan trip was completely destroyed. My family was upset about it. And according to their website, the clinic is open day of Christmas eve hours 8:30-2pm. So that day of appt. I've arrived early 8:20 am and waited until 10:35 am. I'd called the office clinic 3x times. No staff or employees in site. I guess, my pet boarding appt. just got ignored by these clinic without no courtesy call for me before our boarding appt schedule. If the clinic choose to closed during that Xmas eve day. Those receptionist or staff should first check the boarding schedule on their wall if there is active oncoming boarding schedule. Then notify me or call my contact. I know one of the staff wrote it on the wall. My family really upset about what happened. It's very unprofessional service from their staff. I hope these won't happen to other customers or to us again. But anyway, I'd to put 3 star for now because I'd still have a a little trust from this vet clinic for our four-legged friends annual check up etc.

Personal opinion: Something about this place is off putting. I had called for a check up, and they accepted to see my dog, which was great, but told me that they would have to cage him until they were able to see him; anywhere between 10:00am-4:00pm. When I got there the staff seemed stretched thin, and didn't acknowledge I was standing there until after a few minutes past and also just looked through me as they were talking to other people. As I looked around, I didn't see any sign of AAHA accreditation or something similar, just a wall of charts, which also just made me think they're old fashion, but anyway... picked up my pet, they said everything went well, asked to see the chart and notes; and it was basically useless notes: couple scribbles, weight?, no heart rate or any of the other things I've seen in other vets offices. As I was walking out w/ my sister, I saw some lady unload two sick looking dogs out of a minivan and walked right behind the counter without any warning. Weird, I thought, for $85.

We absolutely Love EastLake Village Vet Clinic. Both my dogs love the team and the facility is clean and smells amazing!I am very particular of smell and urine. They gave me a tour of boarding and it is so nice!!!! 10star boarding! Like a high end boutique for pets. Our groomer Frieda was amazing both dogs smelled like Coco Chanel after, looked like show dogs!Dr. Helphfrey and Dr Bischel are EXCELLENT VETERINARIANS so gentle, detailed and excellent when having to deal with minor and major issues with our dogs. They have the most amazing staff on phones so pleasant and caring. I was in tears with my dog’s outcome and they were all so helpful with details of the next steps of the journey of my senior dog Mochi. I wish we can all have our dogs live Furever but I know their team will guide us in the right direction to help us afford and make the next steps easier. My other younger dog will be in good hands for his young start of life. Please get the passports it’s so wonderful to have they are purple like their logos. Keeps your vaccinations organized and their email reminder service is supreme! So organized! Their website for appointments and information so detailed and easy to navigatezTheir calendar and open time slots are within a fair time especially if you have a major issue! The other vets wouldn’t have been able to see my senior dog until next month if this was an emergency? My Mochi would not be here today. They really scooped him up in time and are making him comfortable with the right meds to ease the pain and discomfort which I am grateful during a major Holiday!Thank you to the team!20 stars if I could give them that!I’ve lived in EastLake Chula Vista for over 26 years and Absolutely recommend them!

I took my Golden Retriever here years ago and Bischel wanted to perform a needless surgery on my dog's left leg when I brought her in because she was limping on her right leg. After x-rays, Bischel couldn't see any problems with the right leg, but strongly insisted my dog needed surgery on her left leg for a torn ligament. I took her to another vet with the X-rays and told him Bischel wanted to do surgery on my dog's left leg and I never mentioned she was limping on her right leg. He saw no problems with the left leg, but just by looking at the x-rays he said I bet she is having an issue with her right leg. He picked out the right leg problem from the x-ray when I hadn't even told him there was a problem, and Bischel couldn't even figure it out when I told her there was a problem! It's all about money with Bischel. I have met numerous people, and I mean numerous, who have made completely unsolicited comments to me complaining about Bischel pushing for unneeded medical services and procedures to be performed on their animals. I strongly recommend you look at taking your pets to another vet. I have been very happy taking my dogs to Town and Country Animal Hospital in Bonita for many years now. Oh, and my dog never had any issues with her left leg for like the remaining 5 years of her life. She had some arthritis in her right leg which responded very well with some arthritis joint supplements and shots several years later in her life.

All I can say is that if you have a pet and are looking for a vet, Dr. Bischel is your vet. My family now has a vet and I will continue to bring my pets here. Dr. Bischel loves her job and it shows. She has great knowledge in her field and is extremely nurturing to animals.

Complete garbage. Almost killed my cat by giving it a shot it had an allergic reaction too. Then gave her back to me moments after the shot without waiting to see if she had a bad reaction. When I rushed her back they charged me over a $100 for a shot of Benadryl... The work took zero accountability stating there no way they could have known. If I hadn't noticed my cat acting strange before leaving for work she likely would not be with us. Keep in mind she was less than 6 months old at the time. If I could give less than 1 star I would.
