Solid basic family accommodation with outdoor pool and jacuzzi, coin operated laundry, tiny gym and breakfast service that was compact but very good range with pretty good machine pancakes, hot breakfast of scrambled eggs or omelette, turkey sausages or patty, scone/ bread, fabulous bacon sometimes, muffins, breads and bagels for toasting, yoghurts and cereals/granola, porridge, pre-mix (and running low so diluted) juices so was a mb excellent selection and made everyone happy!!

Sketchy neighborhood. Terrible front parking lot. Room was good. Staff asked for much more identifying information despite being an IHG member.

The rooms are above average, clean and pleasant smelling.Check in was a breeze. Free breakfast was okay. The food area was pleasantly well stocked and clean. The location is not good. You can easily miss the entrance if you aren't diligent.Plus it is across the street from a school.

Hotel is beautiful, smells clean and nice. However the woman who Checked me in Around 1:30pm on Friday Nov 17. Heavy set, I'm not sure if she is White or Latina, but is incredibly rude and made me feel unwelcome. This hotel is beautiful, however my experience with her, I will not be returning. She may be a manager or supervisor even.

I stayed her 2x this year for business meetings nearby. Easy to get to SD proper without the extra hassle of traffic. However it’s an aging facility with a questionable elevator. Power went out a week ago and while it was restored over night the stairs would be my first pick. Fitness center has a couple cardio machines which helped with my daily runs . While I ran around the area last trip I don’t recommend since there are some sketchy areas. Downtown Chula Vista is a cool little area though…so kind of a mixed bag. Nice hotel staff too.

This is a very old property. It generally seemed clean with the exception of the pool, but the hotel really needs refurbishment. The lifts didn’t work, and it seemed they hadn’t been working for some time. More seriously, it seems we got bit by bed bugs while staying here. Location is very convenient near the highway and restaurants. Breakfast was okay, but the breakfast area much too small. Overall, the hotel is expensive for what you get.

The Rooms are fairly clean but dated. They could also vacuum the hallways a little more often. Breakfast is good. Staff are nice and respond quickly to issues. Rooms are to expensive for the area it is located and the condition of the rooms. Wouldn't stay here

When I travel to the Chula Vista area I always stay at this location and my experience is consistently five star. Although its not one of the newer Holiday Inn properties, the facility is well maintained, and rooms are super clean. But the #1 reason for the five star rating is the customer service. The entire hotel team goes above and beyond to accomodate me. Housekeeping staff are so nice, and the front desk clerks are smiling, pleasant, friendly, professional, and efficient. I look forward to my next stay at this property, Highly Recommended!

i booked last Aug 5, 2023 and found out elevator is not working, receptionist put us in the top floor (4th floor) and to the farthest from stairs, room 422. I explained to her to give us a liitle consideration as i had with me is my senior mom and my 4 y.old daughter but to no avail. no consideration and it seems heartless.

Bad:Every Toastslide was wrapped in plastic. Unbelievable! Never again! The world is suffering because of such an unresponsibility. By far to expensive for this area.Good: breakfast was good beside the waste issues.

We stayed here for a family vacation, June 2023. The stay was wonderful. Highly recommend. We had an early flight into San Diego - 7am. We called around 11:30am and they checked us in early and we were all able to nap. Which was SO appreciated. Breakfast was great and easy to get food and sit - VERY convenient with 4 kids. And THEN we forgot clothes AND a Nintendo Switch and they mailed everything back to us! Such a wonderful place to stay! Breakfast, room, and especially the service are all reasons to stay here.

Housekeeping does not make your bed. General manager calls it light housekeeping. Be prepared to make your own bed daily.

Great location easy access to the freeway and many local stores are easy to get in and out of. Very friendly staff and very accommodating. Excellent rooms and a workout room on the fourth floor with easy access to ice and water.
