I am absolutely new to yoga. I mean o tried it here and there but never consistent . I came here for a trial run and let me tell you , the instructors are so caring and patient and just awesome . I experienced 3 different instructors and they each bring a different flavor to the practice and I love how they change it up. I am going to acquire a membership and I suggest that you also try this great spot. So healing and beautiful ....

Kula Yoga is one of Chula Vista’s greatest modern gifts. At Kula Yoga’s heart, lies the pulsing, vibrant energy of love from the community, curated collectively by each of its members. Eddie Bustamante, Kula Yoga’s founder and Kula’s primary passionate yoga guide, has cultivated a space that feels open to both the yoga newbie, the most seasoned of yogis and everyone in between. Kula Yoga offers a unique yoga and self-care experience, in which student and teacher meet on an even level; there is offered the peaceful acknowledgement that everyone in the room, including the yoga instructor, is a student – a refreshing concept for many of us who have observed advanced yoga poses and thought, “I could never accomplish that.” Throughout the various styles of instruction from the rotating Kula Yoga mentors (all of whom have their own lovely charm & unique pace), there is a core emphasis on attuning one’s attention to the interplay between breath, movement and space, lending itself to a wholesome, refreshing experience in which the community is encouraged to breathe themselves into the synchrony and stretch most suited to their bodies. One might argue that, as a community leader, Kula encourages thoughtful stretching as a metaphor for thoughtful, self-aware living, but perhaps that this just my interpretation from my visits. Beyond the yoga guidance itself, the studio is clean, well-maintained, with walls lined in local art, available for purchase, which contributes to the sense of local community support, comfort and integration. Both morning and evening classes are available, and, as Eddie is interested in cultivating a healthy, bolstering community, all suggestions regarding classes, styles, and potential events/deviations from the typical schedule, feel welcome. All in all, I would highly recommend Kula Yoga to anyone who is looking for an integrative, inclusive yoga experience.

Great place to get your yoga on. Great instructors with a variety of yoga classes. Eddy always keeps you sweating. Dont worry if you are a beginner or an expert, classes are very flexible and the instructors help a ton if needed.

I've driven by this studio numerous times. I finally got courage to go and WOW was I blown away! I signed up for the 2 weeks for 20 (best deal around) and I've gone about 7 times already. It's a very clean studio with very cool art on the wall. The vibe is definitely yogi! I took the owners class Eddie and he's the best. Great teacher, clear instructions, gentle corrections and whether you're a beginner or expert this class is for you. The other instructors are amazing as well Darek from Poland is a must try class too! I will be returning for more sessions for sure!

The community feeling at this studio is one of the best I have ever experienced in my 7 years of practicing yoga. The classes are challenging and rewarding. The instructors are helpful and caring. The other yogis are welcoming and fun to be around. I am so grateful to have found a place to practice yoga since moving to Chula vista in July. Each teacher has their own style but the classes will work up a sweat, and work on your confidence, strength and balance!

My sister and i stumbled across this place while visiting family in Chula vista. Eddie was warm and welcoming with a great sense of humor. The yoga class was on point with variations for all levels. I had so much fun in this class and Eddie definitely pushed me to my limit, in the best way. I highly recommend this studio if you're looking for a boost in your mood, pep in your step and a huge smile on your face + a little sweat :)

A bit hard to find at first -- entrance is in the BACK of the building, OR you can enter through the fruteria facing 3rd Ave and head to the back towards the bathrooms to access that entrance. I took a 90 minute 'Weekends Warrior/ Vinyasa Flow' class on a Saturday with Eddie. Tight room and a popular class, so it was filled to capacity. The 90 minutes went by in PURE focus since the moves and holds required such concentration. I may look strong, but I am by no means flexible nor am I a yogi, so these moves were causing me to sweat and shake like no other! Eddie was gentle in his corrections and came around CONSTANTLY to correct form. LOVE the kind of sweat that yoga produces -- your skin just feels so cleansed! It goes without saying that you should bring your own mat and even your own accessories if you so desire because it did not seem like they had extras. If you are seeking a challenge then you will find it here! And a good community as well; Eddie made sure to let me know about all their community events and it seemed like such a tight knit community. If I were in Chula Vista more and not always out and about, I would have felt right at home.

I love coming to Kula Yoga. They got me interested with the two week unlimited deal, but the instructors and community of other yogi students is what made me stay. Each instructor has their own vibe and flow. The small studio on Third is great and everyone knows each other and is very welcoming of others joining the class. They also are also involved with the community and have a fun Detox to Retox class where they collaborate with Thr3e Punk Ales a few doors down. Can't go wrong with Beer & Yoga!

Highly recommend this yoga studio. I love everything about it, the studio is beautiful and the location is easily accessible. I was searching for a local yoga studio back in April, I signed up for the two week special and I've never looked back! The teachers are all AMAZING and know their stuff! They're great with beginners like myself and will help you with your practice at whatever level you're at. They are all so welcoming and friendly. I'm so glad I found a studio that I'm comfortable and happy at! I've seen so many changes inside and out and I've met some wonderful people too
