I asked for an all over color. They colored my roots to my ends. Paid extra get a blow out. They didn't get my roots or hairline colored, which is where the grays are showing the most. I left with as many grays showing as when I arrived. They did have me leave with stains on my forehead and drips on my cheeks and elsewhere. They fried my hair with using a hair straightener on wet hair without protection. Wet hair + high heat = disaster and the best way to ruin someone's morning =(

Shout out to the Chula Vista- Otay Ranch mall branch. I bought 2 colors from them 2 weeks ago and kept it without looking at it. today when I was about to color my hair, boxes were empty, I was not sure what happened but I can't blame Madison as I did not check it. I went to the store and was about to buy another color and told them about my empty boxes. They replaced it without any hesitation. I was really surprised with their kindness! Thanks a million! Awesome customer service!

Hear me out- I decided to color my hair before the holidays at a salon as a way to make sure that my color looked nice. Also I noticed that you can either style your own hair, or pay extra to have a stylist do it for you. I thought I would pay a little extra for the stylist to blow dry my hair (I usually let my hair air dry). I tried to call the place when I hit traffic and was running late, but no one picked up, so I was 10 minutes late.When I arrived I was told that they were running a little late and asked if I could wait 15-20 minutes. I thought no big deal I can wait 15-20 minutes. 30 minutes later I get a robe and am seated, where I wait another 15 minutes. A stylist then comes over and tells me that they're understaffed and are running behind and they then thanks me for waiting. I get it, these things happen. The coloring itself was fine. The stylist was personable and professional while she was coloring my hair. No one came and checked on while the color developed (because they were so busy). I felt like I sat and waited for a long time, like longer than I should have waited. When they finally got to washing my hair, I had already been there a lot longer than I thought I would be and needed to leave. So, I tell the stylist that I need to not get my hair styled. The person who washed my hair was SO rough with my head, my head hurts and my scalp still feels sore to the touch (24 hours later). I was given a towel to dry my hair, and I did my best to style my hair (at the self styling bar (where I found clumps of my hair tangled at the bottom of my hair). I finished drying my hair and went to the counter to pay, where I stood and waited for 5 minutes. So by the end, I was there for almost 3 hours.....I think the problems that arose from this visit are issues that need be addressed at a much higher place than at this location. The staff was understaffed (not their fault), because they were understaffed they were rushing to finish clients, and it was evident that the staff was stressed, trying to keep up with the demand and fighting with their computer system. I think changes should be made in how clients and staff communicate (I.e. not through an automated system- the one you have doesn't seem to work well). Offer rescheduling without a penalty to clients. I thought about canceling after waiting for so long, but I remember seeing a $20 penalty for canceling within a certain time frame. Also- have systems in place for when stylists call out sick and cause a salon to be understaffed. People get sick and staying home to get well and not spread disease is important, and staff AND clients shouldn't have to suffer for that.

Madison reed is the best! I love the way the color comes out every time. No need to fuss over new color options or finding a new salon that will do their job. Madison reed does a great job every time!!!!

They don't answer or return calls. I made an appointment, but ended up canceling. I just wanted further information and go through entering information. Heard good things, but they need to answer and return calls.

Yasmin did an excellent job. I came in as a walk in. Although her schedule was full, she squeezed me in and LOVE how it turned out. She worked that salon like a boss. Great customer service and would come back to Yasmine again.

My daughter went here yesterday and i had originally wanted her to go to my salon I've been with for over 15 years. She wanted to save me money and told me she had a friend that had gone here to get some baby lights and they did a pretty good job. The price was very affordable so I thought why not. I browsed through the few Yelp reviews and I know the salon is new to the mall and noticed all the photos were mostly uploaded by the owner. I am sad to say my daughters hair looks horrible and we now have to get it fixed. Her senior prom is next week and she is very upset with how her hair turned out. The highlights are very inconsistent and toned in completely different colors but not in a nice faded balayage or baby light way. There are some patches more condensed with highlights than others on each side of her head which makes it lopsided. They are also unfortunately closed today and she was scared to show me when she got home in worry that she wasted my money. I will have to update my review after talking to a manager. I am hoping the business will either refund or have her see a senior color stylist that can achieve what we were paying for and do a correction. The photos uploaded from business look to have amazing transformations but I am worried they are not actually from this location. My daughter said her stylist was nice and she had a good experience otherwise. I never leave reviews but I had to do this one.

I love having the freedom to get my roots touched up when I feel like they need it. The membership has been great. The staff are talented and welcoming.

Great service. Friendly staff. I sign up for the unlimited services for root touch up. Im glad that they take walk in is a plus since my schedule is a mess. And have an option to blow dry your hair on your own if you don't want to pay extra for that service.

I'm giving Madison Reed Hair Color Bar a 5 Star Review. Yesinia and Anna were awesome in coloring my hair and provided great customer service. I really like the products too they use since it is environmental friendly and has no ammonia. Also I pay about $12 less than my last hair colorist and I believe the color also lasts longer. I'm very happy so far with my experience with Madison Reed and I plan on visiting this hair color bar in the future.

I had been seeing a lot of ads for Madison Reed and decided to try it out. There is a location 5 minutes from me so why not. I am so glad I booked an appointment because I AM IN LOVE! Not only was it relaxing and my tech engaged in great conversation as well but she was very attentive to my needs and I appreciated her recommendations. Needless to say I signed up for a membership since my roots grow out quickly it is convenient for me. I highly recommend this place.

The experience itself wasn't bad. However, I have a couple of issues. After I got home, I got the receipt of my services emailed to me and noticed that when I booked my appointment, I had a $30 off promo applied, but that wasn't actually given to me at the end of the service. I didn't think to ask about the $30 off while paying because I had just brushed out my hair and a lot of it was falling out and breaking and my hair felt crispy and not taken care of, which put me kind of in a state of shock because this has never happened at other salons. When I tried to call the salon to ask about the promo I had booked with but didn't receive, I couldn't get ahold of anyone. I'm honestly really upset because the highlights are uneven and my hair is damaged, and I paid WAY more than I was expecting to pay. If I don't hear back from anyone, I will be revisiting the salon with some complaints.
