I have had great experience with Mediexcel, I tore my achiles an it was a few WEEKS with the general doctors to finallyt get me to see the specialist, but once I got lucky with the general doctor he walked himself up to the fifth floor and set everything up, within 45 minutes of arriving to my walkin visit, I had a surgery on the schedule! I was in shock how fast everyone worked to get me in at that moment, but it was frustrating how long it took to get to that moment. I have a plan where the physical therapy for my ankle cost more that an outpatient, which makes NO SENSE! What is the point of that? The physical therapist where all great, the specialist that took care of my surgery was AMAZING!! I recently received an email that states only four medical passes will be issues per policy holder. Which I don't approve of, since part of the reason why traveling to Mex to see the doctor, is the easiness of the border crossing. If I have to make the three hour wait, might go to a different "TRUSTED" general doctor with no MediExcel affiliation.

Horrible experience!! Please beware!!! They falsify information, and restrict medical care in order not to pay. I was a patient over 7 years, but within the past year I've seen the quality go down hill. There is a lot of negligence, but since the services are in Mexico they have high influence when it comes to legal action and cover ups. I'm afraid to go to Mexico now because the supervisor in member services threatened me, and called me names last week . The hospital, health plan executives, and doctors are aware of what happened.‐

More than an opinion, it's a question. If I lived in San Diego, can I go for a review here? in case of any medical problem. The question is, I went to Tijuana and they still treated me for the scrubbing and the last time I had a problem with a flight that appeared in my head because they didn't examine me properly and I'm about to change my insurance because of this situation, the doctors in Tijuana only prescribe without properly reviewing. This is the second time that they have just prescribed me without properly checking me and the problem seems to have complicated and I even had to pay externally.

This isn't by far the best insurance out there. Coverage is shady and unreliable. Staff is very friendly and they sure try hard to accommodate the patients needs but I think maybe they higher ups aren't as accommodating.

I was severely sick ! And went to the e.r I was there for 4 hours and my family was still unknown of what was going on with me . And when they finally admitted me to a room the room had no a.c !!! I didn’t really care about having a tv or whatever but a.c !!! I had a high fever and I had to tell them to get me a fan because it was so hot in my room I couldn’t take it ! And they were wrong on my diagnosis I had to come back to u.s and get admitted here and properly get treated for it ! And they charged me over 200$ a night . In total payed 500$ for one night and half a day ! Don’t think I would come back here if I’m insanely sick !
