I went to have blood drawn at the lab on Lane Ave. I feel the staff is not using clean technique before and after each patient. Staff is wearing same gloves at all times, open door to call patient to room, working on computer, accepting paperwork from patients and moving about the clinic. They call me in to get my blood drawn and was told to sit in chair and rest my arm where previous had just been( curtains open and can see from waiting room). No disinfection to chair or arm support for blood draw. The guy still wearing same gloves, palpitate for site, wipe with alcohol prep then palpitate with same gloves. He goes into drawer with sterile items also with same gloves. He draws blood with fingers over site with same gloves. Never once washing his hands or changing gloves between patients then back to office and picking up phone then papers. I really felt bad but didn’t speak up because I don’t like needle stick and afraid staff would be rough with me. I will let my doctor know and never will I expose myself to cross contamination again. I sincerely hope someone from Scripps on Lane Ave in Chula Vista read this and improve INFECTION CONTROL.

This place is full of horrible people. Mike on the referral and appointment line was continuously rude and unprofessional. He and the other staff continued to make excuses for being unable to assist with receiving a new referral. When I finally got the referral to them (after an entire week of trying), he made derogatory comments that I was "too pregnant" to get an appointment. When told that the only appointment available was during a required work trip, he condescendingly kept insisting that they couldn't help me since I wouldn't take time away from my "vacation". When I explained that I was in no rush and was willing to wait for a later appointment date, he insisted again that I was "too pregnant" to have a pregnancy confirmation appointment. I asked him to explain why 8 weeks pregnant is "too pregnant" when I will assuredly be even more obviously pregnant at a later date. He cut me off and said no doctors would take me past 8 weeks pregnant. I sincerely hope that this is not a reflection on the type of care Scripps practices as a whole. It is uneducated, unhelpful, and has no place in the healthcare practice. I will be advising against anyone wasting their time at this practice, especially military families, who they seem to discriminate against by having them go through the painstaking process of uploading their own referral (instead of accepting it from Tricare), only to reject them once the referral is made available. What a disgrace.

Came here as a kid my mom worked for Scripps and we even went to the games at Petco......this place is on point in every way. If you mess up your appointment that's your fault not yours

Dr. Hassan is one of the most attentive and professional doctors. Being a young black women, it is hard to find doctors that take you seriously and make you feel comfortable. Dr. Hassan takes all my concerns very seriously and explains everything in depth. I don't even have to ask for specific things to get checked out because she already schedules all of my labs and everything I need to get done. Although Scripps is now a longer drive, since I have moved, I am happy to make the drive to stay with Dr. Hassan.

At first it was going fine.. until my DR was making me do tests that I did not request and I was paying for it. I also was showing concern for my wrists and ankle and she totally dismissed this. I went to a different doctor and my wrist was fractured. Horrible service with Dr.Therberge. Will not be coming back here.

This practice has gone downhill! Don't see Nena Rocha. Horrible doctor. As a retired nurse, I would not recommend her whatsoever. 1. She talks over you2. Does not listen to concerns 3. Rudely questions the care I receive from my current specialists. 4. I requested certain labs to be done, but as I have a family history of certain diagnoses, she disregarded my request and told me I had what the rest of my family had. So she basically took it upon herself to diagnose me with a condition she never tested me for!5. Requested labs that were not even necessary. She is one step away from a malpractice suit. Please complain to the practice about her lack of care! She was the only provider available to see, otherwise, I would never go to her as her reviews are absolutely terrible. She should re-evaluate her career choice.

My main doctor was located at this location and I switched my doctor to a different clinic. I have not felt peer pressure since my high school days. The vaccine mandate, I thought... It's my body and it my choice what I put into my body?! Considering what currently going on?! It's my body, my choice.. it's not a one way street. That's not how life works. I did my research, I looked up articles, I talked to my friends that are doctors/nurses about the vaccines. I followed the science, my doctor told me that 95% of all patients are admitted to hospital due to COVID-19! Hmm, when I talked to my friends that work in the ER, they said.. their bored cause there are very few cases that are that extreme situation. This was my experience and you free to make up your mind. I'm just sharing my experience...

At 657 pm I called to verify the hours of the scripps health express at 971 Lane Ave in Chula Vista she said they close at 8 pm. I arrived at 7:10 pm and no one was in the lobby check in station. I waited 10 minutes thinking the worker might of went to the rest room. Another 5 minutes went by I decided to call to make sure the hours of 8 pm is valid. The lady Angie said yes they should be there. Then a male worker walks in. Says they just saw their last patient, mind you I still have a half an hour till 8pm. I asked him are there any other Scripps urgent care I can go to.... He mentions the Marque U.C near Kohl and the Scripps in Torrey Pines too far. To not have anyone at the reception desk for 15 min and to be turned away. They would of had 45 minutes if there was someone manning the station. I paid a $50 copay because I went to marque UC out of network.

Unfortunately this medical center isn't getting it?If you read their feedback they keep making the SAME mistakes over & over? And they say the same sentence again and again"promptly connect you with a member of our patient relations department who will assist you"?But month after moth customer's/patients are still having the same problems? It seems like whomever is supposed to correct the deficiencies isn't following though?***UPDATE** After receiving the same generated message as I talked about. I was sent the same message as EVERYONE else. Are they learning?

Went in to the urgent care clinic on Sunday at 430. Was well aware they close at 5, but I felt rather than go to the ER and clog up an already clogged system with myself who did not have a true emergency, I would go to your urgent care. Lady checking me in was nice. Lady who took my vitals was nice, but when it came to my provider, I was kind of embarrassed/ annoyed. FNP Williams started off nice but then guilted me for coming in at 430 saying "you know you are cutting it close, we close at 5." I tried to laugh it off but I felt it was very rude and inconsiderate. Instead of going to the navy clinic with my tricare, I brought my insurance to your facility and I get guilted because someone thought that I would not let them leave on time. I have worked in healthcare for several years and you should not make someone feel bad that they came at a certain time because that was when they realized they had a real issue. It only took a few mins to figure out my issue, and I left. Just felt it was not cool to be guilted for having a real issue. If y'all only want to take patients before you close up to a certain time, you should make that apparent when they walk in, not tell them in the exam room when they are vulnerable and having issues.

HealthExpress is really hit or miss. You might get someone amazing Iike Yvonne or Jaclyn, or you might get someone awful like Christie Remigio or Tiffany (can’t remember her last name). The quality of care really needs to be more predictable. I can’t stress enough how frustrating it is to deal with someone patronizing or dismissive. As far as regular doctors go, it’s just too hard to get an appointment. I don’t want to be super sick on November 17 and see that the earliest appointment available with any doctor is December 9.
