Every time a package isn't delivered, the carrier says no one was home, and every time we were sitting in the living room, next to the front door at the time of the "attempt" and no knock or ring was heard. Every time, the carrier says a notification was left, and every time, this has been a lie. Every time we schedule re-delivery, the package just sits at the post office until we go pick it up. Letter mail is also routinely delivered to the wrong address or not delivered at all. This is, by far, the worst postal service I have ever received, or not received, as is more often the case. If this is your post office, do yourself a favor and use one of the parcel services if you have the option. You're more likely to receive your package.

Too many customers, out of good looking stamps, one window clerk at 5 pm, goofy exit driveway...sigh. Bonita and Chula Vista can handle their post office better, also Rancho Del Rey.Has 24 hour access to kiosks at least, and two of them. That's quite unusual in LA or SD, but often expected elsewhere. Oceanside and a few others keep the PO box or kiosk open past 6.Just go late at night if you can. Packages smaller than 12" by 12" by 12" are not sendable in any USPS kiosk since the software update, despite the giant metal chute remaing exactly the same size. Expect to type the sender's address and yours for the label, it will attempt to validate the address. It's picky about apartment and suite numbers. Try typing in just the number and not Apt or unit or suite. Be patient with the card reader, it is slow and methodical. At times, the kiosks will simply run out of stickers since nobody checks on them after hours. It does have many post office boxes.Milwaukee had a 24 hour staffed post office (Airport station) for 25 years, it's not as if that can't be done. Assign the postal inspection service to protect it, or hire a private security guard or off-duty cop if you need to.Also, it is completely possible to sell beautiful stamps in a cash and coin vending machine all night. It was done for many years in many similar large post offices in Illinois. If my laundromat can do it well, so can USPS.(This laundromat vends coffee, laundry soap, soda, just a quarter to use a clean restroom, with one lady to clean. And they sell giant water jugs. Congress should probably just merge this laundromat with the entire postal service.)Hire more letter carriers, rather than burning them out on overtime 7 days a week delivering for Amazon. I want them to go home occasionally and sleep or eat.

Lady wouldn’t let me look up my new address, Ive told her that I just moved. Kept badgering me with “ma’am” with a sharp tone. What part of I don’t remember my *NEW* address did she not understand? Unnecessarily impatient and rude. I would’ve rather let the package I was picking up rot than deal with the employees here again. I wouldn’t have even needed to pick it up if they felt like delivering it at all. They just left a *blank* note, no pick up location or nothing, and I only found out from the mailman that happened to be there where I needed to go.

Even 1 star is too much. Their faces are not smiling. Speech is poor. They don't want to be helpful. They cooled me off from the USPS, I had to get service from a different company. They don't even try to support anything. Terrible service really won't be repeated.

The incompetence at this location is beyond comprehension. Package after package gets lost and everyone I speak to gives me a different answer. They have no idea where anything is and have no interest in trying to find it. They know we have no alternative mail delivery service so they've got us by the short hairs there. But how they get away with screwing up everything, every time, is a crime.

I sell collectable cards and love going to this location. The staff is always accommodating and nice, and i've never had any difficulty receiving or sending packages. Note; these are expensive items too, always in the $500+ range for a couple cards.Sad to see the care the post office gives be scrutinized by the rare few with strong negative opinions.

It's 8:41AM, this place is still closed. And there's a long line. This is where our hard earned tax dollars are going to pay lazy people who don't care for the good jobs with benefits. This is what's wrong with America these days.... UPDATE, as im standing here, the girl at the cash register is rolling her eyes and giving an attitude. One person working while there's a giant line out the door.

very friendly staff. The line gets a bit long in some days but they provide additional help when it does.

I've called this post office twice and nobody was on the line. Their customer service is also very aggressive and rude. They act like they are in a hurry when there was no one else in line but me. Also if your package is lost they will not do anything about it. Your better off going to a different post office honestly.

Let me start by saying I don't usually give bad reviews, I believe in 2nd and even 3rd chances, but ya'll this post office gave me the run around multiple times.A week ago around 345pm I went to this post office to ship a package to my husband on deployment. I was in line for about 10 minutes when the lady at the counter informed me and another customer that they don't process customs forms after 4 pm. Okay cool. I went back the next morning. Now, if you've ever been to this location you know they stay busy. Doesn't matter if youre here right when they open or 30 minutes before they close. I was in line for about 15 minutes (which I didn't mind) and a line of over 7 people was growing behind me with only 1 person working at the counter. The lady at the counter measured my box and a few seconds later told me she wasn't able to process the customs forms. Her exact words were "it's asking me a question it's never asked me before. I have to ask my supervisor about this." Then she proceeded to tell me to come back later. A lady in line behind me asked when to come back (multiple people were in line to ship packages with customs forms), the lady at the counter replied with "this afternoon." I went back later that day and was told AGAIN they weren't able to process my customs form.Frustrated, I went to the post office in Bonita. I explained the run around I had with dropping off my customs package. I didn't mention which post office I used, but the lady at the counter asked if I went to the location in Eastlake. Bingo! Apparently numerous customers have complained to her about the same issue with customs forms. She also informed me that they have the same computer system at each location, and nothing has changed with how customs forms are processed. Anyway, I paid for the transaction, and was out the door in less than 5 minutes! Not sure if the experience I had here was a fluke and they were just having computer issues that week, but I will never be back even though I live closer to this location. I'll use the post office in Bonita on Central Ave.

I want to thank the supervisor at the Eastlake USPS office, Matthew for helping me locate my package. My package was delivered to the wrong mailbox, and Matthew was there every step of the way, assisting me in my search. We are both happy the search is over and I’m thankful for your help.

Every time I come to this particular USPS to send a military package to an overseas address they have an excuse for not accepting military packages. This has happened at this particular location to me and others numerous times.I’ve never encountered these issues anywhere else.
