I wish I remembered the names of everyone who helped my family today. We said goodbye to our dear sweet 12 year old Molly today. She was the best dog but cushings was more than she could handle. Everyone was so kind. The receptionist knew who we were when I was crying so much that I couldn't get words out. The vet ensured that we were making the right decision by going through a complete history and symptom check, and the vet techs were so compassionate. I loved that we were able to feed Molly Hershey kisses before she passed. If we ever have a pet again VCA will be our vet!!!Thank you for your compassionate service to our family during a very difficult time ?

Gave awful advice about an injured stray kitten. Told me to go to the Pet Hospital on H street just for them to tell me they don’t take in strays. A whole run around due to the misinformation given by the receptionist here.

You deleted my previous review, so I’ll leave another… do not go here. They don’t call back, they didn’t call back for nearly 3 months after repeated attempts and messages, when they finally did , it was too late. My cat was dying. They don’t care, dont waste your time on them. I can’t believe you deleted my review. If you didn’t delete it, why is it gone?My cat is dead, and you were the only place I could have gone. I can’t drive, and I am broke and can’t afford anywhere else. You don’t care, you just don’t.

Their receptionists are useless, not all, but the girl I spoke to yesterday was. She didn’t even try to help, just kept saying “idk” and I’m just confused when you have an entire staff there, is it too inconvenient to try and find out? I had to google the answers lmao just useless. Called another place, reception said “I’m not sure, but give me a moment to see if I can provide an answer for you” so now I’m considering switching vets with more competent employees

Overall they've been very good. The staff is very patient with our nervous dog and we've never felt taken advantage of or misinformed on the occasions he's needed treatment.Getting appointments in a timely fashion is a little difficult with this place though. Maybe that's a testimony to the fact they're good at what they do: they're popular. They can be booked up to 2 or 3 weeks out even if the situation is urgent so maybe resign yourself to the fact that you'll probably have to use an urgent care or pet hospital further away if the situation arises.

My girl Bella was really well taken care of here. The staff are all so friendly and Bella feels comfortable going here when she usually can get really anxious where there's to many dogs .

I normally don't write reviews but Lisa the groomer was amazing! My dog who we adopted from a shelter 3 weeks ago was desperately in need of bath and nail trim. We tried to get him groomed 2 weeks ago and he went ballistic! Nipping the groomer as well as hurting himself! Needless to say she couldn't continue. I don't know how Lisa was able to calm my dog down but she did and even said he was a good boy throughout the process! I won't be going anywhere else!

my kimber passed away in march due to thyroid cancer. he had gotten diagnosed and had an appointment set with his normal vet to cross the rainbow bridge. 2 days before his appointment he had gotten worse and we had to call around to take him as an emergency. all the vets around us were either closed or closing. it was around 6:30pm when i called and they were closing at 7pm. they still took him in even though they were closing soon. this hospital went above and beyond with their care and all of their staff were amazing. we stayed past closing and i want to say thank you to the staff for giving us that time to say goodbye to our keemer. he was our family and it was the hardest decision ive ever had to make but having this nice comfortable environment to bring him made the process a little easier. thank you VCA Bonita staff for taking care of my baby and helping us through the process! I highly recommend bringing your pets here.

Im very happy with the services I have received so far at this location. Less than 5 mins away from my house, Staff is very friendly and have treated my baby so well. They go above and beyond to give your pet the right care needed and will also accommodate you as best as they can. I started coming here last month for my cat Lucy's shots. I also was not aware they offer boarding !!! I had a very last minute trip planned over the weekend and they were able to take her in on such short notice I felt very fortunate!! This was the first time I took my cat boarding I usually take her traveling with me because she helps a lot with my anxiety so I went through so many emotions taking her in boarding for the first time but she did amazing and was her normal happy self as soon as I picked her up. Happy to say VCA Bonita will be Lucy's Primary Care as this will be the only place I will be going to.

id give this place more than 5 stars if i could.my 10 year old husky had recently gotten diagnosed with aggressive thyroid cancer and had quickly gotten extremely sick. i had never been to this hospital before, he had an appointment with his regular vet to be put down on Thursday. Tuesday when i had gotten home he was struggling to breathe and we were worried he was not going to make it through the night so we had to make the tough decision to call around and see if any place would take him in last minute. it was already 6pm and most places were closing at 7pm. when i called them they took him in even though they were closing soon. each staff member was super nice and understanding of the circumstances. we were brought into a room with a blanket on the floor for him and nice candles and dimmed lights and was given options as far as cremation goes. they gave us the time to say goodbye it did not feel rushed at all. it was past closing time when we had left.to the staff members i want to say thank you. as hard of a decision as this was to make i appreciate you so much and cannot thank you enough for giving us that time to say goodbye even though it was past closing time.

Losing a pet is a difficult time. My beloved Chihuahua Diego passed away in his sleep on the morning of January 3rd, 2023 being nearly 18 years young. As much as you prepare yourself mentally for this, the unexpectedness still hits you like a head on collision. Scrambling in the early hours of what to do, I tried calling my regular vet for guidance but no answer despite the office indicated they were open. Luckily I stumbled upon VCA Bonita Animal Hospital and they answered within a couple of rings. Upon our conversation, they were very sympathetic and provided all the options available for cremation service. I opted for the private cremation service package which included paw print and a selection of urns for Diego through their contracted service with West Coast Pet Memorial. Upon my arrival to drop off Diego, the staff were very compassionate during the paperwork process as though I was their regular customer and told me to take my time with Diego whenever I was ready. When it was time for me to leave, they said it would take about 7-10 days. Around the 8th day, I received Diego back with everything that was described in a very classy package. Several days later, I received a sympathy card from VCA staff with all the staff signatures on it with a few comforting words. That is very nice and I really appreciate it during this difficult time! I wanted to share my positive experience with VCA Bonita Animal Hospital for anyone who encounters similar situation. All the positive reviews are well deserved. I highly recommend it and if/when I am ready for another pet, I would undoubtedly make VCA Bonita Animal Hospital as my primary place of care for my pet. Thank you for taking care of my Diego as I still miss him dearly.

Sophia, our beautiful and adorable 8 year old Bichon/Poodle mix was seen today for her wellness appointment. We were pleased to meet and were seen by Dr. Howard as we welcomed her to our VCA family. Dr. Howard was very attentive, gentle and thorough when checking Sophia and answered any concerns I had with the exam. Sophia's prognosis were promising with a little added TLC.I love this VCA location! The entire staff is warm and loving and make you feel right at home. Please bring your fur-babies here for the exceptional services and endless smiles they provide.I've been a Client of VCA for 17 years and will continue for many more years to come.Thank You VCA for a job well done!

I liked my first visit. The intake nurse was awesome, the Vet was amazing!! The front desk was sweet!!! My second visit was just as pleasant, which made me feel even happier that I made the decision to start taking my new baby there! The tech noted that my puppy was young and would be nervous if he took her back with him for her shots. So he asked me to wait a little longer so he could prep a room and see us both together. It melt my heart and I knew I was in the right place!
