Horrible experience. I'm normally not a bad review person but this place is not honest and didn't even have the truck I reserved. They tried to charge me double for the truck then didn't even have the truck I'd reserved. They did not disclose the full price with the online quote despite it saying there was no hidden fees. They also did not even have the truck on site with a ramp that I had reserved yet still wanted to change me for the truck with a ramp and the additional changes. Ridiculous. Then I had to find another truck on short notice the day of a move. The whole point was to save time and stress with a move. If you like stress, go with this company. Otherwise, avoid it. In addition, their insurance is set up where they didn't disclose the cost until day of, then when they do it is nearly twice the amount of other rental companies, making it more expensive than others. The "budget" is extremely deceitful. For example, uhal was $84 (for a larger truck too) for the insurance where budget was $130. As I was in the store, another customer said they are at their third location because they made reservations too but Budget didn't have the truck for them either. Avoid this business at all costs. They only had one poor employee who was overworked and having to deal with poor managements mistakes at the front desk. I didn't like how management treated their employee or customers. Genuinely an all over horrible experience and huge waste of time.

Let me start out by saying I should have read the reviews before we rented our truck from this location.We reserved a 16' truck the day before for a 9am pick-up. I walk in the next day at 9 am only to be told they do not have any 16' trucks available. There was no "I'm sorry," or "sometimes this happens, but we can discount a bigger truck for you." I said to them, but we reserved a 16'. They said "well we have 26', but you will have to pay for the bigger truck." Really, we should pay for a bigger truck because you made a mistake and don't have the truck we reserved the day before? This is a definite bait and switch! We had no choice because we had people waiting to help us with our project, so we rented the 26' truck.When doing the walk around, the guy tells me the fuel tank is full and that when we fill it, make sure we overfill it or we will be charged $35 fee plus the amount for the fuel to fill it. This means that when the gas pump stops, we must over pump it to make it full. So I did what they said, and some spilled out, but I didn't want the $35 fill fee. Is this common practice?We also asked about a 20% LEO discount that was on their website. They said yes, they will add the discount. The final paperwork showed no type of discount. Another bait and switch!After reading over some of the one-star reviews. We found two out of three of the same types of issues.We definitely would give them negative stars if possible.We will never use this location again!!! We also will contact their corporate office about their practices!

I came here it was by the car rental place..I was seeing what they had for inventory for renting..This place is for moving trucks lol..I thought they might of had like four wheel drive trucks for the snow...lol duh..oh well service was still good even though it wasn't what I was looking for..they came out to greet me... I left with some dignity trying to play it off..I guess if you're moving anytime soon this is your place in Sacramento!!

Was required to overfill the gas tank to not be charged a 35 dollar fee. Basically on my way back to dropping off the truck, I filled the tank till the handled clicked and stopped pumping. I was informed that was not enough I had to make the needle not touch the F line. Ended up putting 4 more gallons in the full tank... talk about a hazzard and bad for the environment.When I got back I walked around the office and couldn't find anyone. No one on the side. No one in the front. No one in the managers office. No one in the back area. Took about 10 minutes for anyone to come out.First and last time for me rent from this establishment.

My goodness this place sucks. The people who work here are mentally in another dimension, respectfully. I've been here multiple times and EVERY SINGLE TIME I get here and they have a blue sign up that says "Sorry we missed you, we will be back in 30 minutes". The same sign. Every time. I literally have sat out there and watch them lose business from people unwilling to wait. It happens so often that I've come to realize that every time they have the sign out they are really inside! This time I had a flight to catch, so after 30 minutes passed, I Knocked on the door and of course here comes the worker coming from the back and takes the sign off the door. Positive is that they let you use debit card.

We reserved a truck over 1 month in advance. We also went into their facility to confirm they had our reservation and to make sure we'd have a truck on the day we reserved it. They assured us we would. We got a call today letting us know they don't have a truck for us. We have movers coming tomorrow morning to load the truck. Budget said they would call around and try to find us a truck and that they would get back to use within 2 hours. Guess what! We never heard back from them. My husband called other truck rental companies and thank goodness Penske had a truck for us. DO NOT USE BUDGET. You will be sorry you did.

Only use this location if your OK with your reservation being canceled less than 24 hours in advance. Then when they call you all they do is say "call customer service, they may be able to help you"

The only reason this business has a star from me is because Yelp requires you give them at least one although they deserve none. They conduct the rental criminally. Who rents out a truck for thousand of dollars without checking the fluids in the vehicle!? The check engine light came on 4 hours into the moving trip and forced us to pull over. Found out that there was NO oil in our truck that they had rented out to us. Budget Truck as a company is horrific. They have separate customer service departments that do not have communication or access to one another to help you resolve your issues. We had called to report that due to no fluids our check engine light had come on. Upon calling Roadside (they have no right adding assistance to that since they do not do that at all) we were hung up on before giving the full address to the location of where we were. We had called back to and we're hung up on 4 TIMES! I was in tears. I have never had any company treat me this way. I called Customer service who hung up on me after stating they do not communicate with roadside. I tried talking to supervisors who were no help because they had no access to the other departments. Who runs a company like this!? After sitting stranded for two hours and no help and now being hung up on a total of 7 times we got a hold of a roadside ticket creating supervisor. He informed us that he also only has access to the ticket making side and has no ability to see whether or not our ticket had been picked up. He then suggested that since we had no way of knowing what would happen to start a whole new ticket!!!! As we were approaching 3 hours of waiting we were desperate and agreed to start the process all over again. After another 45 min we got a call from FLEET AMERICA saying they would not come out for a check engine light, it is probably nothing and since the call is being recorded we were all good to go!!! So now we are on the road in a truck with a check engine light on after waiting for 4 HOURS!!!! This makes me feel reassured....NOT! Seriously I want to look into avenues for legal recourse because this is unacceptable to do to paying customers. We feel unsafe and completely taken advantage of. How can a company allow this type of treatment and behavior to thrive. Who lets their customers drive a rental they paid thousands for with a check engine light on and a refusal to come even look at it!!!! Oh the answers is Budget Truck does. Excuse my French but this type of shitty business practice should not be allowed and should actually be punished. They have no way of communicating customer issues to one another which is setting everyone up for failure and that includes us the paying customers which is unacceptable. We were so desperate that we were using both our phones to try and get help because no one knew what they were doing. I will make sure that none of my family or friends rent from this company ever again. During my moving process I have rented 3 trucks and have had issues with all three but this was over the top, over the line, unacceptable, unprofessional, and unsafe making me feel as if we could be in danger along with our belongings. Shame on Budget. They can't be running things this bad and stay in busses forever. This is just horrible. I am driving from CA across 3 states and they refused to come check out the truck after making us wait for 4 hours. We are now putting ourselves at risk due to the horrible set back we had. This is the worst experience I have EVER had with any company and they keep it so separated on purpose so your issue is never resolved. Spend the extra money on any other moving company because you safety and well being are worth it. Don't put yourself at RISK with this company because they will not help or care. They take your money and that's it. They didn't even check the truck before renting it out. Disgusting business practices indeed

I'm surprised by the negative reviews - my experience was really positive. The building is kind of run down but the important stuff was great - very quick service on pick up and Check-in , good price, and car was in great condition.
